Didn't he take Orel to a Satanic club with the intent of sacrificing him? Thankfully, the Satanists turned out to be harmless hedonists. Also, that episode where Orel develops an.....interest.....in pain.
Stopframe clearly sees the world through a thin lens. He has to have Clay, and everyone else is in his way. I think the finale really digs into this, as even after realizing Clay doesn't share his feelings, he begins to see him everywhere. Before, Stopframe essentially had his life in order and that's why he was so carefree and easy going about his vices. Unlike other members of Moralton, who have these problems but try to repress or justify them, Stopframe didn't have to deal with these tough thoughts. "I want to be with Clay, how do I make this happen?". It made his life easy to get through but once it was challenged, he has to confront what he's even living for anymore. Stopframe dancing around this problem in the finale is essentially him doing what most of Moralton is already doing: repressing guilt and ignoring problems. Orel becomes his outlet.
I think something that's often overlooked with Danielle is how flippantly he just reveals Joe's mother. I don't know if it would have been explored more in the future, but the fact that Danielle and Bendy are brother and sister is a fact I tend to forget. And it sure is interesting to remember. In the instance of when Joe asked Danielle why he couldn't have been his dad and taken him hunting instead of his actual dad, Danielle simply blows him off by writing down Bendy's number and sending him away. I don't know how long him and Joe had known each other, but Danielle had kept that secret for at most 12 entire years, just to throw it all away just so Joe wouldn't keep bothering him. No fanfare, no nothing. Assuming he knew that Bendy wanted to see Joe, he just withheld that information for no good reason. And assuming he didn't know, he could have put Bendy in serious risk of triggering her childhood trauma by putting her son right in front of her without any warning. She didn't know Joe was her child, either, so that information could have really affected her in a bad way. I know it worked out okay, and I'm happy it did, but oh my God, Danielle. That's your own sister. At least give her a heads up that she's finally going to officially meet her son. And empathy for Joe, too. The poor kid clearly wanted and needed a mother figure in his life, and everyone around him just denied him it. Bendy was too young to care for him, of course, but she isn't anymore. They could have at least let them arrange a meetup, but no, Danielle just wanted the kid to leave him alone in the moment, so mommy is a good distraction. What a dick lol.
I actually would LOVE to know more about Stopframe's relationship with his sister, as it's such an underutilized aspect of the show and could have potentially explained a lot about Stopframe. Did he know about what was going on with his sister? Did Stopframe cut himself off from his emotions to protect himself from the knowledge of what happened to her? And how does Bendy feel about him? I just really want to know.
Full heartedly agree, besides from the one correction that I gotta make that Nurse Bendy did definitely know that Joe is her son. She called the household constantly to check in on him, and would use the info she got to further make her teddy bear portrayal of him more accurate. For example, when she learned that he was in a play from Ms. Secondoppinonson, she started talking to the teddy bear meant to represent him about being in a play :(
Honestly everyone connected to clay gets a very grey morality to them where you can choose to side with either clay or whoever and it works. For example blurburta is totally a two face with shapey but with coach stopframe I don't feel he is good either as he causes a lot of problems for his own self gain Only time he had some genuine good relationships was his nephew telling him about nurse bendy and orel at the end but most of the time playing God or Lucifer(reverse cross isn't Lucifer which is funnier) whenever he needs something
I mean... Clay and bloberta would've fucked over their own lives. They suck and looked to cheat outside of stopframe. It's pretty upsetting about making and neglecting shapey. I don't think stopframe is responsible for all the things going wrong in their marriage though. That's on the people involved in the marriage.
Sadly true. Both Clay and Bloberta are miserable people and if it wasn't Stopframe, there probably would have been some other inciting incident that would have been Clay and Bloberta's downfall. But with that said, that doesn't really make it okay for Stopframe to just swoop in and be a homewrecker and deadbeat father. There is literally no excuse for him to try to be taking advantage of people the way he does.
While it's probably smth else, id like to point out that it's possible something very major and tragic happened in Stopframe's life (possibly what happened to his sister) that made him that way. I've seen firsthand how someone who used to be and caring person be traumatized enough to where they never trust or think about others again and juust persue what they want. Not that it excuses his actions in the least bit
Would certainly give that throwaway line he made in Waste, "Because I know for a fact that praying to god doesn't help this much," some context at least.
Considering he's Nurse Bendy's older brother, I fully believe this is the case. No way he was just spared from any sort of abuse or mistreatment growing up
You know, Stopframe resembles me of Richard from Allen Gregory. He did similar actions like Stopframe does like latching on to a guy he barely know who already have a wife and kid and broken that family in order to have that guy all to himself. The only differences are that Stopframe is (or was) going to have to face his consequences of his actions, he decided to break things off with Clay, and the whole situation is played for drama(for the most part). While Richard doesn't have to face his consequences, can keep his "partner", and the whole situation is played up for comedy. Yikes.😨😰
sometimes i feel like danielle's love for clay is like (if you know you know) griffith's love for guts. except griffith knew guts was a good person, stopframe was just horny
I saw Stopframe as the worst of the worst in Moralton and not because of his sexual preferences. He essentially single handedly tore a family apart simply because he was going after Clay. He was at it for years on end until for some reason he has his own sense of betrayal. He spent years manipulating and betraying other people but when it finally happened to him in his own mind, he has an issue.
As much as I absolutely adore this video God I hope they never include that scene of Ms Censordall eating again, that was genuinely fucking disgusting to see.
But danielle said he was with bloberta to get close to clay, not as a part of a plan to ruin his family. Clay doesn't even like his family and eveything we have seen of his relationship with danielle was in public
Not trying to excuse his actions, but i think that he latched onto Clay so strongly because he grew up in such an intolerant town. The prospect of another queer man in town must have piqued his interest a ton. I dont think he didnt realize what a bad person Clay was because he never bothered searching deeper, but rather that he had been too obsessed to see it. He was definitely in love with Clay, or at the very least he thought he was. There were many times in the show where he was being shown as depressed or upset because Clay wouldnt take the leap and be with him. Obviously hes still a bad person, i just think theres genuine reasons for choosing to do what he did.
Not sure if anyone else noticed, but in the episode Help when Bloberta's friend is getting married they say the groom is Couch Stopframe but the groom himself doesn't look anything like Danielle. So did he take the place of the original Stopframe and get rid of the wife? Cause we never see her in other episodes.
If I recall correctly, Help is the flashback episode that shows Principal Fakey's wedding to his wife Millie. Censordoll calls Fakey "Coach Fakey." She wasn't talking about Stopframe. Fakey used to be the coach before becoming principal.
I meet a person who act like Daniella like their name was Dave and they also had a friend called Alex. And they made my life miserable after I’ve been stopped friends with them and I tried to redeem myself but they ended up not. Approving. They’re actually people just like Danielle.
Finally! The last video with this April Fool's name!
I love the name! 😂 Definitely one of the better April Fool's jokes this year and it actually did catch me off guard at first
a simple way to define his character is a homewrecker who changes beliefs like clothes
I don't think Stopframe knows how "pleasant" Clay really is.
fr he switches between christianity and worshipping satan like its as minor as choosing what socks to wear
I never realized just how utterly destructive Stopframe was to the Puppington family, and how nigh irredeemable he is. Excellent character quest!
“He found someone who’s attractive and pleasant to be around.”
Seems like his definition of “pleasant to be around” is far different from others.
To be fair, Clay puts on quite the face. He’s a good actor when he wants something.

Censordoll. The devourer of moralton. The demon in sheep's clothing. The faustian librarian.
