This channel is fast becoming my favorite detailing channel. Thank you so much for all your high quality content and for making detailing something that I have confidence in trying.
That's honestly made my day. Thank you so much. Didn't think anyone watched my older videos. Absolutely love it if anyone takes something positive from them
So pleased to have selected this video, my estate car has been used for dog transporting for 8 years and I had considered buying all new carpets and side trim, after watching this I went to my garage and cut up a window squeegee…….it was like a miracle, it worked brilliantly, the hair was so thick on the carpet you could not see what the original colour, I didn’t even move in one direction, I went back on forth and clumps of hair were removed..well chuffed…..
You just saved me!! I have a mountain cur who's always in my car with me.... I spent 2 hrs trying to figure something out for myself and gave up and came to RUclips. Wish I'd done this first 🤦🏼♀️ Thank you! Subscribing and appreciate your shared knowledge! ❤️
Absolutely genius! I have a corgi and it's absolutely impossible to get the dog hair up... well, until now!!! Best truck clean I've ever done! Thanks mate!
Great idea; another good way is to buy heavy duty cloth gardening gloves with the rubber palm and finger inserts. More pressure and you can work faster.
Brilliant Dave your sense of humour got Me tickled again....Your absolutely bang on With the rubber blade My Mum showed Me this trick years ago and I’ve used one ever since
You have no idea how WELL this worked for me today, it was insane. A Mercedes GLC, LOADED/BLASTERED with sand and dog hairs, from a wolfshound or something (F****** huge it was.) I was hoping my just newly bought €900 vacuum would do the trick, but it didn,'t... I then proceeded to pull out my wisherwasher from my shower and BOOM!!! That worked freaking wonders!! Thank you so, so, SO MUCH! Love the channel and you are awesome! Amazing advice and tricks 👍👍👍
this is Amazing! - my husky basically recarpeted my jeep interior with hair and this method just pulled it right out - made me so happy :-). The word Hack gets greatly overused on the internet, but this is it in it's proper sense. Thank you!!
I've hoovered my car today and my hoover with brush didn't touch my staffies hair in my boots carpeted walls. Her fur is so sharp, it in beds into the carpet. Will your squeegee method work for this? Or can you offer me any more tips for my issue?
Sooo glad I found your channel. I’m not a detailer and have just started out “washing it properly”. I like to keep my car nice. At the moment, I’m confused as to whether I need to add wax after a polish. See, toldyou I’m a beginner 😮
I lightly mist the carpet with either water or if i happen to have the glass gleaner in hand, then you can use the the squeegee or I'll use the black nitrile gloves as I'll usually already have them on.
Just got a jeep from a buddy who used it for his husky for years and never cleaned it. There is sooo much dog hair I want to clean it up to sell thats why I'm here. Thank you sir.
We have 2 labs and a golden and our boot is lined but after a trip down the ocean, somehow, those sneaky dog hairs manage to get absolutely everywhere. I usually vacuum and then put on rubber gloves which takes ages but this wiper hack seems so much easier. We have a Geely Coolray sport model car (unfortunately not available in the UK but check it out, it's unbelievable value for a Chinese car) and they didn't spend a lot on carpeting, I suppose to keep the price down and the carpets are like dog hair magnets. I will definitely try this wiper method next time. Many thanks for the tip and all the other videos.
Another thing that works really well, especially for longer hair or fuzzy thin hairs like cat hair or undercoat is… (drumroll)… a damp sponge. The hair will form little rolls that felt together and get easily picked up by the vacuum cleaner. For those short, spiky little hairs (short-coated dogs) you will need the squeegee or a lily brush, or anything slightly stiff but rubbery.
Cheers for the tip Dave!....was testing out a few mitts etc but nothing gets them out properly. I will swipe my missus' window cleaner and test it out later ;)
£15.00 for a Lilly brush, I picked up a CarPet cube for £5 and it's awesome but I will be trying this hack to see which is better. knowing my luck it'll be the £1 special. I'm sensing a comparison test tomorrow?🤣
Brilliant video. Will be buying and trying. I did a car at the weekend that was a nightmare with the pet hairs. Took me aaages to get the carpet to a level I was happy with and that was with a Lily brush. I swear getting rid of the per hair added at least an hour and a half to the valet. It was soooo frustrating. Bloody 2005 Focus carpets. So yeah, will give the squidgy a go. Thanks again as always Dave for the tip and the video
