  • “So what about 2.5 hours of approach, biviing up Brevent in order to be the first ones on the super popular and apparently amazing Frison Roche Route” excited cheers “ANDIAMO!” We set off at 20:30 with our heavy backpacks with 9km and 1600m of elevation ahead. We got to our bivi spot at 00:30 (sorry dutch guys for waking you up).
Sleeping and freezing for barely 5 hours the next morning we jumped up excited for the climb ahead. 15min walk down, we stashed our bags underneath the field of boulders at the bottom of the climb and off we went… We were the first ones on the wall and saw the flood of people coming down from the cable car. What to say about the route? It was indeed amazing like everybody told us it would be. Each pitch had its own little characteristic, it’s well bolted and we are able to free it which is always a plus. By 11am we were at top of the route and now we just had allll 1600m down to go. Quick ice cream break at Plan Praz 2000m and serious consideration of getting a lift down but why? We already made it that far… so there we went another 1000m down to Chamonix.
