Not many people are aware of this, but Zorro used to be the Hong Kong Division of Ronson. No wonder Zorro lighters are very well-made with lots of variety to choose from just as Ronson had.
Zorro is a brand, not a zippo copy as some say,it makes its own type of zippo style but there's clearly differences, and i used to like zippo but nowadays i only buy zorro because they make a wider variety of lighters not just zippo styles and zorro is a much better quality also to me than zippo
Right. Zippo is a great lighter and their warranty and costumer service is the reason why they're still a great choice. But if we're comparing a lighter, I'll choose zorro. They just make it better overall, almost every issue of zippo is fixed by zorro

I could put 5-6 grams of fluid into original zippo insert, in case of Zorro i could put only 4,9 grams. Maybe i need to replace or reorganize cotton inside it, but for now it seems it holds less fluid. Anyway i love this insert. I prefer smaller flame but i think u can make it bigger if u replace wick for zippo one.
This insert does hold a little less than a traditional Zippo insert because its walls are thicker making less space on the inside. Repacking the insert should help. Zippo Fanatic 77 Outdoors has some really good videos on repacking: ruclips.net/video/QKHgsNUFzOw/видео.html And ruclips.net/video/u9j-DBGKL94/видео.html
@@theproffessorsgarage Yep, i think thicker walls is one thing and u also got that part that holds bottom openings spring in it. That also takes some space. But i am testing my zippo and Zorro inserts i got butane and fluid inserts to test. Original Zippo last for me 7-11(most often 8,9) days. Zorro insert with orings and cap already lasted 7 days and still working. I smoke one pack of cigarettes per day.
@@dandyer8351 Yes, Zorro lasts me for a minimum of 6 days and a maximum of 27 days. Most often it was about 10 days. I smoke at least 20 cigarettes a day and sometimes use my lighter for other purposes. 27 days was the maximum when I mainly used another lighter. If you ask me, I'm happy with the zorro insert, it also makes my lighter a little heavier so it's harder for me to lose it, and also improves the quality and appearance of the lighter. I put 2 flints in the hole where I refuel so that I have a spare :)
I am interested in purchasing a fox insert, in a copper finish, the same one shown in the video, but I have a big question, is it actually copper coating or just paint?
So the ones I ordered came today. They sides have the humps on the sides like the zippo inserts. So Idk if they changed the design or if I got counterfeits lol. Have to fill them and see how they work haven't decided if I'm gonna reroute the wicks yet.

Got to say I have also moved away from the Zippo lighters and have been purchasing Zorro and Chief lighters. Very well made and cool designs and I think the Zorro insert is actually better.
They're not good for fidgeting. Thr cams plunger snapped. It's really thin. I broke it about 2 months in. The pinging used to annoy the shit out of my ex and our son!
@francor2263 I'm glad your didn't. My second one the spring got jammed. Had to stretch it out. But keep in mind I got mine a few years back. They've been slightly redesigned.
can u share the link pls?

I don't think it's actually copper.
At best it is copper plated, and then it seems to have a lacquer as the final layer.
Would look great with a copper insert
Have brass looking ones coming , estimated delivery June 5th. Hoping it's not that long. How long did yours take to arrive?
About twelve days from when I received the email saying it had shipped for all but my most recent order.
@@theproffessorsgarage are you in the u.s and do they always give an estimate so far out? This is my first time ordering from aliexpress. Thanks
Yes, I live in the northwest. As far as I know they always give long delivery times.
@@theproffessorsgarage thanks. I'm hoping it'll be sooner than they're saying.

How do you open the bottom part of the insert to access the wick and cotton for replacing?
Unscrew and remove the flint screw and the bottom will come off.
