I think government should think about this kind of concept for our large cities like Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru where regular line and rapid line facilities should available because we see our cities now a day too large that metro speed feels like so slow where 1.5-2 hour take for simple journey.

the actual project deadline is in june 2025 i think . the project was opened in sections . whats the problem in that ? all such major projects including the delhi metro have always opened in sections . its nothing new. the ticket prices can be reduced in the future to augment more passenger traffic. one needs a faster line to connect delhi with meerut via ghaziabad . normal metros running at 80ks with multiple stops wont cut the ice . thats the whole point of a faster regional rail system.
