SINCE 2016, CASTROL GTX has secretly changed their GTX 5w20 & 5w30 oils over to a SYNTHETIC BLEND now under the GTX Ultraclean named brand, which is different than plane ol Castrol GTX.....and they did not update the label. They are only slowly changing the labels now between 2019-2020. Otherwise Castrol GTX 10w30, 10w40, 20w50 will stay Conventional.
To to Clarify: Castrol GTX (Conventional) 10w30, 10w40, 20w50 / Castrol GTX Ultraclean (synthetic blend) 5w20&5w30 but doesnt say synthetic blend on most labels as of March 2020.

Also this change has basically caused every major retailer in North America to have falsely advertised their product and commit fraud (unknowingly) as they all advertise GTX Ultraclean 5w20 & 5w30 as Conventional.

I almost fell for this ad if Irv Gordon didnt mention he changed his oil every 3000 miles (5000 kilometers) - most cheap oils in Walmart would get you to a million miles if you change them that frequently. His mechanic i think said he did capital repair on his engine atleast twice, and i read in some forums he even did engine overhauls every 300k miles even if its not needed, which could be true, could be false. But it did make me less impressed with him, it just means he spend most of his money on the car. There's taxy drivers in my country that did a million miles, and thats honestly more impressive considering they do entirely city driving which wears out the car 10 times more than highway cruising. They also drive cheaper crappier cars, and they try to spend as less money as possible on the car doing only mandatory maintenance. Still cool what Gordon did, he deserves the world record place - after all he'd have alot more rivals if most drivers in America atleast tried to change their oil more frequently than their cars. XD

Less then 500 views... I dont think this was as a successful ad campaign as hoped. Especially after paying for all those celebrity endorsements.
