Yes but we have a moral duty to support our local rescues who do the same good job but without all this money. I like also Animal Aid India but North-East Chine Rescue needs more help as they are alone, very small and poor and the only rescue in this part of China. They do a lot of education against cruelty and rehome puppies and kittens

I reunited a cat that had been missing for 18 months. He kept coming to my workplace - I worked nightshift at the time and I befriended him. One weekend we had a storm forecast (it was winter) so I took him home with me. Popped him up to my vet to get scanned and there was a beep. His owners had kept his details up-to-date and were both astonished and delighted he'd been found. They thought he'd been killed. Had he not had owners I would have given him a home. He was a lovely cat. That was 5 years ago and I still often think of him.

I live in the UK and I'm exempt from wearing a mask but if I had to crawl into a tight space like that I would wear a mask simply because of the amount of dust there would be. The dust would trigger my asthma.

Most people do okay. But some people can get really sick. I know/knew (unsure of the grammar/tense in this case, neither sounds right, my knowledge is here, but the people are gone) several people that have died.
It's very sad this cat had previously been spayed and released. Obviously, she's not feral and wanted to be in a home. Thank you for rescuing her and giving her a happy ending this time.
That was exactly what I thought...that cat wanted to be an indoor cat. I have a feral cat living indoors with me. She was an outdoor, feral barn cat from birth to two years. Circumstances dictated that she needed to come in or she probably wouldn't survive, so last July I brought her inside. She has NEVER asked to go outside. She made friends with two of my older cats and she is happy. Not quite as tame as this Siamese, but she is happy healthy and safe. Feral cats can be rehab'ed. But I do agree with you, that beautiful Siamese was never feral, just abandoned.
Yes, it is sad but with so many shelters full, the only other thing that can be done with strays, even if not feral is to spay/neuter and release them. You just have to decide which is better. Some feel that euthanizing strays is better while others believe that even a few more months or years of life, even if there is danger is better than being euthanized.
It's not sad - it's a GREAT thing she was spayed so she wasn't reproducing. Sometimes all the resources people have when TNRing is fixing & releasing. Sometimes the only other alternative is euthanasia. It's sad to put down the person who took the time to make sure she wasn't producing on the streets.
Valentina is gorgeous..lucky lucky pusscat!!.. that was a hard rescue i honestly have never seen a cat in such a tight situation..but we knew eldad and his team wouldn't stop until they got her. God bless them all..

Nice job with the rescue, I work as a after hours emergency animal control tech for Multnomah county Oregon and its a tough job as far as all the heart breaking stuff I see and feels good when I can save the animals life, far to may times it does not work out and its tough on ones soul.

It reminds me of all the open pits of all manner of origin all over India that so many living creatures tumble into and get stuck. What a horrible way to die. Thanks for all you do guys.

Yesterday, We found a big *kitten* and it was meowing so loud but it had a bell. Since I’m a cat person I really wanted to shelter it and look after it but my mother said it already has an owner. We gave it a little box and some dry food, and I sneeked in some treats, but it was quite windy so I think later on in the night it got blown away. When my step dad when to work at 4 A.M., the kitten jumped in our front porch so for the rest of the night, it stayed there. It did a little kitten 💩. When I went to school we left the door open so the kitten could go as s/he pleased and right now it isn’t here. however, it might come back because we fed him/her and sheltered him/her... I will update if people want to know any updates about the cat...
Is the cat fur are clean? Is the cat body weight are okay when you found it? I kinda worried that the kitten might be abandoned if you found it not very healthy in the first place.
