Nice. But I'd like it if the presenter fussed with the steering wheel, seat controls and trunk like in the old days.
that's for the road test!
Gotta get those old seriel killer leather gloves too
@@senseicorey9979 lol
Even I got one of those gloves back in the day, but didn't wear it after once or twice thinking others would think it be funny considering I was driving an econobox after I got my licence. :)))
This coupe is done to perfection as a GT. The interior might be the best that I’ve seen yet. The green with gold wheels is about perfect.
Wow that white spec is beautiful.
The presenter? Indeed.
Id like those bronze dipped alloys that are on that interesting sea green model put on that beautiful white model in the beginning. Fantastic looking vehicle imo
Edit: my finger fumbling spelling lol
Living in Naples Florida I see DB's,rolls, Bentleys everywhere, the most millionaires per square mile in the USA
Aston Martin is my dream car but they kind of lost me the last few models. This seems like a return to form. The ultimate grand touring company.
I used to own a DB9 Volante. Build quality and long-term reliability is atrocious.
@@ThomasFerrugia Having the means to buy one is only half the battle I would suspect, maintaining it is a whole other beast. Maybe along the lines of never meet your heroes I guess! Still drop dead sexy though and I'm in no danger of needing to fix one anytime soon.
I think all thoes people with there phones and cameras out were looking at Stephanie. 🥰
Tough when Top Gear drops their review in the same hour.
i think it was an embargo
Wow!
This is a wonderful review of a beautiful car, thank you!!
STEPHANIE looks like she belongs there! Like a COUNTESS.
Doormat
No kidding. Wearing plenty of bling to complete the look.
Less background music (noise) and more car sounds!
The beautiful French Rivera. Nice smog.
While not the best looking Aston Martin ever made compared to all the SUV’s, SUV’s, and more SUV’s being put out today it looks absolutely beautiful.
lol You have a point until you take into the equation the price, the low hp, the slow 3.5 secs and the sound which you can get from many trucks. I'm not sold. Yeah it's an Aston but many competition making this dull.
@KenanTurkiye well I mean aston martin cars are more grand touring cars than supercars
@@KenanTurkiye also since when was 671 hp and a 3.5 sec 0-60 slow?
@@nathanwood3860 Umm like since the past 10 or so years? ok maybe 7, let's agree with the last five years. But let's admit you'll be buying brand new we can certainly say NOW.
@@nathanwood3860 Yes you certainly are right about them been a GT. GT's were deemed necessary when the rich would need such cars to travel from their summer house to winter house in uncrowded roads in comfort in top speeds, because of their ''vip'' status.
Read like 40-70 years ago.
Roads are clogged, artificially speed monitored, there are much higher fines, besides many cars are faster than a GT, so them trying to be that ''vip status flying spur'' on the highways/autobahns would be answered by a faster car without much hassle.
Basically I think the true concept of the GT is not the same. And so I do find your comment accurate hence why I'm shooting it down. : ))
Take care.
The retro review driving the upcoming 1990 ZR-1 through Europe was edited far nicer. Much more action and fast paced. Perfect for an exotic beating Corvette. Take a look and consider dropping the slow and blissful nature that made this Aston Martin feature feel like an elevator music track overlaid on top of a lethargic backdrop of fish swimming in an aquarium. I love MotorWeek but as with cars, they just don't make 'em like they used to. There was one very brief stint of exhaust sound that was incredible. As with a shooting star, its glory and beauty quickly faded giving way to darkness.
Yea their “retro” reviews are so much so much better, especially the ones with Jon Davis
I think you have just nailed the new DB12 with a review that is one of the best I have ever heard, and the yellow dress add class and style unmatched by any other reviewer.! Watching a Young women enter what had been a field dominated by men and excel and getting to watch you grow into the spectacular automobile journalist.
Spoken from a true automotive authority.
How does one distinguish the DB12 from its predecessors? In my town, I know of at least one Aston Martin plying around - could be anything from a DB7 and up, but has enough of a wow factor.
Stunning! (Both car and driver!)
I'll take the green spec, but $245K is just an insane amount.
Such a fun review!
V12?
4.0 AMG V8 turbo. Blame government emissions regulations for lack of v12.
@@inomad no, V8 as bad as V12
Gone.
They might bring the V12 back as a performance trim later on in the model year.
That's some James Bond type sh*t there. Stephanie looking awesome too. New Bond girl? 😊
It only took 20 years to make a beautiful interior
Stunning improvement over the outgoing model.
Guess this means the end of the V12. I'm not surprised. In the end, Ferrari and Lamborghini may be the only brands left that will be selling V12 engines.
Besides Ferrari and Lamborghini, you still have Pagani that offers V12 or Bugatti for W16 engines. Or better yet, you can still get a NA V12 with a stick from GMA. Just buy a T50 or T33 for around the same price of those DB12.
@@lordmaster5522 Bugatti will soon go all electric. The W16 engine will be gone. How long before Pagani does the same?
@@johnnymason2460 the next Bugatti will be a hybrid with a turbo V8.
I just love Aston Martins
Beautiful car!
Well done.
I think it should have more horsepower.....but I can't wait to try those Pilot Sport 5s tires for my Cadillac CTS-V3
Those rear tires are huge.
Why did the format change? Where's John Davis?!
The thing she said in 0:41 to 0:44 it’s just right. Amazing car
sounds good
Beautiful from every angle (not just her 😅), sporty, exclusive, powerful, and that interior 😮 like a mix of Bentley and Porsche Taycan. Imo. Nice.
I think the SLR McLaren can be considered the first SuperTourer, but it’s a great class for this car
Yup, but the Aston marketing team claimed the term and she bought it.
The next Bond car!!!
2023 Big Lottery Win Kinda Car. I Can Dream, Can't I? (smile)
Best thing about it….. it still looks like an Aston Martin
The days when "econoboxes" that common folk could afford, and were test driven by Motorweek are long gone.
Beautiful car but that back end looks a lot like the new Elantra N.
I prefer if she was driving around in Los Vegas.
Wow
0-60 or 1/4mile!?
It said 0-60 3.5 seconds.
@@moejr1974 thank u
Absolutely stunning!👌😎👍James Bond your car is ready!” “Q”
bad ass
Steph looked smashing…and the car was alright too.
James Bond's new ride
The tires were special ? 😂
I'd rather have a V8 Vantage X-pack or similar. No turbos to interrupt that glorious V8 sound.
The prepared statements from Aston Martin are so painful.
"...made me feel good... and grounded." LOL.
"I felt like I'm important... not just sitting in a regional PBS station in Maryland reading out an emailed script... I felt like a real journalist"
I want her job❤.
Thank god it's not electric
Nice to see Aston Martin still alive and well in 2023. I recall when Ford Motor Company owned Aston in the 1990s and Chrysler owned Lamborghini! Lamborghini now owned by Volkswagen. Aston now owned by Mercedes Benz...
I believe the Saudis are pumping lots of cash into Aston now. Just like the Saudis are keeping Lucid in Arizona going with billions of dollars....
Glad to see Aston Martin and Lamborghini are still brands with financial backing!
I'll take an Aston Martin DB9.. or the new gb12 over any other car in the world ten times over
5:18 they don't look like car people :)
....rather ritz 'n glitz people, and anything THERE will look like that to them. sorry. lol
...instead of this Aston, I'd save up (yes I know the price diff) and buy a Jaguar XJ220
and show them proper ritz and glitz. The XJ220 is ONE of the best (sensualy) designed cars in all car history. Pure class.
Looks like a Lexus RC
I keep laughing at the idea of every car manufacturer going full electric. Is it worth it to lose the enthusist market?
Enthusist market is dwindling fast. Young kids don't really care about cars as much anymore
Young kids rightly don't appreciate the noise+pollution blurting out of the back of this thing. They prefer silence... it's more classy. ICE enthusiasts are dying out
For every "ICE enthusiast" you lose, there are two BEV enthusiasts waiting to buy your cars. And BEVs are more profitable than ICE cars... once you have worked out how to make them.
Stephanie did an excellent job with this review. Look forward for more .
Wonderfully produced video, but she sounds so robotic in this monologue. She should try to speak more conversationally to gain credibility as a car journalist, as she is clearly knowledgeable.
Thanks for finally hiring a reviewer with personality! Other than the legendary John that is. Nice video. Nice car. (will not watch EV video's though, as they are not cars).

👨🏿💻🍿
A hilarious attempt at a commercial masquerading as journalism. Dreadful script
Still not as pretty as the DB9 and not as muscular as the original Vanquish. For the price of this you can have both of them and about $150k in walking around money.
I am not being mean, but the presenter sounds like a small town news lady that is just getting her career started. Put some enthusiasm in it. It sounded like a female Bonzi Buddy from 2001 reading every single word from a script that someone else wrote. I have noticed that everyone on this channel sounds that way. But this one was so bad that I had to force myself to finish watching it. I am sorry, but I couldn't even hardly focus on the car because it felt like a news caster!! Geeeeeeze
It's a PBS channel and they don't buy the cars they're reviewing... it's the other way around. Care companies and dealerships pay Motorweek to read out these scripts. It ain't journalism
Ferrari F12 over this all day, every day.
….812 gts.
🤮
812 Superfast !
3.5 seconds? Not fast enough. The acura NSX does it in 2.9 seconds for a lot less money and more reliable and more exotic.
But it doesn't have the snob appeal of an Aston Martin.
@jaydibernardo4320 that could be true. The aston maritn is spectacular.
If you want acelleration, buy a used race car, no radio, no heat or AC, brutally uncomfortable, but you get a 0-60 times that looks good on paper.
Apples and oranges. 🤷🏼♂️
Even though I didn't like this Aston, and I am in the process of saving up to buying 7 first gen NSX's for each day of the week, all red (I don't know how many decades it'll take me :P ).
I can say no NSX is exotic next to an Aston, although this Aston is very very bland.
Where’s John Davis?
Why is she holding the steering wheel like she was driving a truck?
Who approved this?
Great car, lousy review. The presenter was just robotically reading off AM’s press release and spec sheet. What happened to MW describing their actual, genuine impressions of a car?
I thought this was a car video. The very definition of a weird video.🤨
To be honest, that Aston Martin DB12 is very ugly, the grille is too big, and the whole design is very terrible, and plain looking. I would say the older Aston Martins from the 2000's and 2010's are much better looking than that new one.
Any old truck can sound like that 0:32
and 3.5 seconds? mehh
245k? the British are losing.
weighs a ton.
@@moejr1974 GT's do, all the luxurious leather and whatnot.
So much time wasted here on flowery words rather than conveying information. "The more I drove DB12 the more I felt connected to Aston Martin's Rich history which made me feel good. And grounded." WTF what does that even mean? What do you actually know about their history? The tires felt "special?" Can we get a professional in here?
This is a really boring report. The presenter has a terrible, reedy, irritating voice.
The car is very beautiful but I have lost interest in Aston Martin as a marque since they started using Mercedes engines
Starts at 245000 bucks🤔 Why I will take two with all the bells and whistles 😂
Utter marketing gobbledegook unexplained.
