What's interesting is when performing land navigation, there's a "lateral drift" that happens when walking in a straight line over a few hundred meters. In your last video, it was pretty obvious you were drifting and traveled in a near complete circle. Happens to alot of people who travel through the forest in what they believe to be a straight line.
Can confirm. Also, you start drifting in response to terrain. Some terrain is more accessible, leaving you believing that you walk "a simpler path", but you drift ever so slightly.

What I love about the game is it forces you to keep moving to advance time, meaning you have to think about moving which leaves you less mentally prepared for the jumpscares
Strangely enough, it's actually really easy for me to not react to the scares, since usually in horror games what puts me on edge and more prone to scares is the threat of dying/getting a game over knowing that in this you can just do literally whatever and there are no consequences really takes out a lot of the pressure

If being an elderly at the age of late 30's, I feel really old right now. But seriously though, it's definitely a welcoming change when he plays this game.
Love the style of game, I think it could use more varied scares and styles of scares. Something like running into various cryptids 'staring' or 'stalking' you would be good. Having some unique location-based scares would be good. Keys & hidden 'lore' rooms would be fun, but I think some kind of mode where the timer starts short and is increased by finding items would be pretty fun. The game lacks a way for the player to willingly increase the difficulty.
I've always wanted to do a haunted trail/house where the participants are given flashlights that could be remotely made to flutter, change colors or shut off. I used to do huge haunted trails with a team of like minded horror fan friends when I was younger, where at the time the tech existed to do so but it was beyond my paygrade an skills.
Beware was fantastic. This is as well in its own right. Will be interesting when they get it further along. The "hyper-realistic" camera view works really well. Really does give you the feeling of looking through an old VHS camcorder, when they had that itty-bitty CRT in the viewfinder, though those tended to be in black and white.

I think it would be nice for a night or day option. A jumpscare in a bright place like that one scene in Insidous was good. A quiet ambiance or "no sound" jumpscare maybe? Or gameplay where you can choose gameplay time, and as IGP said, hidden gameplay time.
The boat thing is really cool. I wonder if you will find something like that for each different thing it says at the start of the run. When you found the boat the words "The Lost Ship" was on screen at the start of that run. Maybe its the same for others like a couple last time. I don't know, but it seems worth checking out

what this game needs is a few scripted events where something chases you for a while and you have to run away or you die. for now the scare effect is kinda tame because nothing can really hurt you unless you make a noise and as long as you keep that in mind, the game really isnt that scary.
When our mind is focusing and really occupied with something else like, reading, listing to a story (on tape or so), solving a puzzle, or something like that, a jump scare at such a moment will let you scream. But jump scares when just walking, you get use to it very fast.
This game has a lot of potential and I really like the atmosphere. I hope when they update it, though that the scares aren't as frequent. I personally find it annoying that there's a scare like every 30 seconds. I also hope they change it up a lot because they rely on sound to scare you which is great, but then jump scares are just..eh. That's the most basic way to try and scare people. The scariest thing is the $100million price-tag on those space suits; suits are expensive but their mobility-rig back-pack triples that cost; I think we're looking at between $200 to $500-million-dollars worth of NASA equipment, on the floor between the astronauts with their recordings and data.
The problem with jump scares, is that the more often they happen the less affect they have. At the end they happen more and more often which gets rid of the entire point, a sudden scare. Amazing concept overall and really cool game, but with how often these jump scares happen towards the end, I feel like it really loses its shock value.

When she turned the corner, she saw the image of a lady in a very old dress sitting at the machine, and working it as if she were sewing. When the family member accidentally stepped on a creaky floorboard, the apparition turned, gasped, and then disappeared. The supposed ghost was never seen again. I don't know why but all the broken-down old aircraft, space pod, and the cargo ship it so out of place. It feels like the Bermuda Triangle story where aircraft and ship gone missing and maybe end up in this pocket dimension full of evil entity. :O

I absolutly HATE when the headless woman walks towards you like that naked and calling for help its just to f*cked up for me it is the thing that most freaks me out it wouldn't make me scream but it would make me go completely serious the first time i saw it gave goosebumps and made the back of my head feel weird and not many things have done that and i have tried so i love it and hate its just so f*cked up its perfect
i am really amazed with this game, i also really like open world exploration games where you just uncover stuff and this game just hits the right spot. But i also agree that being able to explore the cool locations, maybe finding some keys and artefacts there or something would add a lot to it and its replayability. I would love to be able to puzzle together a story for what happened to the astronauts and why they or the ship ended up in that forest. Maybe a story tapping into lovecraftian territory that maybe there are portals between worlds opening and ending up teleporting people and creatures and boats into this forest, that would even explain why you get teleportet as a player sometimes. like something in that direction would just be great for this game.

I think it really would be cool if there were objectives or achievements to try and get while going through all the places in the area. like with the tape players/black boxes from the other video, or the vending machines that are randomly scattered around. having an inventory would also be useful. it would give a little bit more to focus on while wandering around, especially since you have to keep moving to have the timer count down

Some new locations that would be great: Abandoned Amusement Park. Abandoned cottage. Ponds. Mining tunnels, caves. Treeforts. Bunkers. Shed. Butcher's workshop, ritual circle, burned home, burned car.

TBH the best jumpscare i've seen people playing this game is definitely IGP's inside the plane one, that was perfectly timed

Very awesome graphics. So real. It's like your in a nightmare and the goal is to not scare yourself awake by screaming or reacting to the horror. This allows you to explore the world within your dream. Kudos to the dev team. Awesome job.
I would love to just be able to look at the map during the daytime and admire how crazy the POI are like the stranded ship and how far the plane wreckage spreads
You’re invincible unless you make noise. It would better if there were things that still could kill you. Like a stealth horror. After the first jump scare it’s no longer intriguing. You’re Superman.

I don't know why but all the broken-down old aircraft, space pod, and the cargo ship it so out of place. It feels like the Bermuda Triangle story where aircraft and ship gone missing and maybe end up in this pocket dimension full of evil entity. :O

I watched your first video and honestly. Only a couple got me but throughout your first and now this video every time something happened I would just laugh. lol I’d either laugh at specific ones then be super annoyed when the jump scares popped up one after another after another in like a span of 1 min.

I absolutly HATE when the headless woman walks towards you like that naked and calling for help its just to f*cked up for me it is the thing that most freaks me out it wouldn't make me scream but it would make me go completely serious the first time i saw it gave goosebumps and made the back of my head feel weird and not many things have done that and i have tried so i love it and hate its just so f*cked up its perfect

i am really amazed with this game, i also really like open world exploration games where you just uncover stuff and this game just hits the right spot. But i also agree that being able to explore the cool locations, maybe finding some keys and artefacts there or something would add a lot to it and its replayability. I would love to be able to puzzle together a story for what happened to the astronauts and why they or the ship ended up in that forest. Maybe a story tapping into lovecraftian territory that maybe there are portals between worlds opening and ending up teleporting people and creatures and boats into this forest, that would even explain why you get teleportet as a player sometimes. like something in that direction would just be great for this game.
this game was just how many jump scares can we fit in exemplified. IGP was fun to watch tho.

I think it really would be cool if there were objectives or achievements to try and get while going through all the places in the area. like with the tape players/black boxes from the other video, or the vending machines that are randomly scattered around. having an inventory would also be useful. it would give a little bit more to focus on while wandering around, especially since you have to keep moving to have the timer count down
