There needs to be more games with In-Game microphone integration. It adds such a terrifying layer to the game, especially if it pauses when you mute your mic.
Agreed, it doesn't even need to be horror. There's an old space shooter game I still play and it has a community mod that adds voice commands and voice acted replies to your commands. Immersion skyrockets when I can just yell into my mic for delta wing to cover me and alpha wing to commence bombing run on my target.

They are scary yeah, but the games where the monster does not have a set roaming pattern and will instead roam at random in the facility is so much worse. Unpredictability makes it harder to know where the monster is, and any lack of knowledge makes the experience more scary.
So if you recall, early on it mentions that "it spreads infection to everything it touches," implying that if it ever encountered the dog even once, it was going to be infected. So maybe it's possible if you're super fast? But likely, you can never save them.
Yeah. We can’t save the dog. And we can’t leave either. What kind of annoying game is this? We didn’t get anything good out of this. All we got was pain. Honestly, I didn’t like this game just because there is no leaving or saving the dog option. I will be honest. This game sucks.

For example, most horror game include a leave option these days, just so that the audience can enjoy having that little window of option. Even Nier Automata has that option, and even Masoleon has it. In this game through. You don’t have the LEAVE option, nor can you save the dog after going through so many horrific experiences. I think that the players won’t like it. Because they worked hard to solve all those riddles, and in return they got nothing but pain. I like to think that including at least 1 safe endings, creates a better story
Not all games need a "good" ending to be good or satisfying, look at games like don't starve or Amnesia. The thing that satisfy's you should be the end, that you made it through the good/bad of the game.

They are left unanswered, and such things are here to stay in your head. Or take SOMA, i don't know why, but i had the endings reversed in my playthrough in comparison with IGPs. I had the bad ending first, and then, if you didn't wait long enough at the credits, you wouldn't even see the "good" one. Was on PS3, maybe they changed it for PC. Can we get IGPs facecam back btw??? He looked quite the same as me, i would love to see how we diverged since then! It just comes down to taste in the end. In Silence was pretty much like a quiet place because the monster sprints at any noise it hears. If there were multiple monsters in that game, it would he much more similar and difficult just ro survive.

I saw the intro and I was like "oooh I might want to skip this video and play it myself" but the minute you said it was the same dev as Trenches I knew I was too much of a baby to play it myself.
Steel Krill really knocked it put of the park with this one, it’s got to be the most terrifying one he’s made yet. That skin stealing monster was supremely terrifying in its own right. Like a mix between some kind of skinwalker and demon.

God i have such great memories with your channel. From what i beleive to be my absolute favorite video from yours of all time, good ol signal simulator, and then trenches. Those two videos have so many memories attached juat because of everything that happened while attempting to watch your videos.

Actually- there are three AI being used for the alien in alien isolation which is why its so dynamic. There is a "overlord" AI that knows exactly where you are at all times- and it drops hints to the control AI, and the control AI has to search for you using the hints dropped from the overlord AI and then there is a 3rd that monitors a hidden meter that measures how much you progress and move around freely- which allows the "overlord" to drop more hints and faster to the control AI. The games terrifying for sure. but I've yet to see a enemy that is as dynamic as the Alien- and honestly I want a sequel to that game.
Reminds me of that game with the kid looking for his dog that went missing. The kid soon learns the dog was taken to be experimented on to become human-like and is searching for the kid in the lab facility. Not sure what its called.

IGP is mainly known for playing indie games unlike Mark and Sean, who sometimes search for not well known games but they also have different interests. That’s the whole fun in watching different youtubers imo 😌

This guy knows how to scare! Trenches had me taut with nerves by the end and the one right at the end of the first play I flinched so badly I had to stop watching my phone for a while. This was definitely similar skill, and the ending just as f'ed up! Bravo!

I feel like those cheap jump-scare can serve a bigger purpose because of the in-game mic. Imagine you scream just to be forced to run somewhere to hide as a consequence for jumpscared
I feel like for your not wanting to leave safe areas, you could get scared once on purpose to see what its like and that might help you be less scared. Of course some things dont work for everyone but its worth a shot.

In my opinion, a really good ending could've been if the guy didn't die. The skin stealer being as smart as it was could've just simply stayed in Roy's body. Doing so, it could've escaped to the surface. And yes, I understand it could've just stole the guy's skin and did it the other way, but still, good game either way.
I watch a lot of your videos, for some reason I really enjoy watching YOU play videogames =p, and this is my new favorite. Don't get me wrong, I love your commentary, but watching you have to stay quiet and as a result be MORE invested in the game was really fun. This game is ingenious and really terrifying, and I love your content dude. This game seems to have a blink mechanic, but unlike SCP where you find out right at the start why you shouldn't blink, thus you keep your eyes open as long as possible, this one hasn't said anything. So, why is it so long between blinks? A person normally blinks every couple seconds.

This is a creepy maze underground thing. I don’t know what the monster is, but looks terrifying. Now it’s mimicking alien isolation now said you got something terrifying in there😅
I remember the first time playing Bioshock, you finally reached Rapture only to be met with the sounds of the Splicers yelling and screaming, running all over the place...the groans and creaks of the city. I remember my first time playing DeadSpace and you first land on the Ishimura...only to be met with the sounds of a semi derelict spaceship, the crawling and slithering sounds of the Necromorphs. There is a a powerful distinct dB range and low dB's that really REALLY bring life and context to these worlds..ambience and atmosphere etc etc. This is one of those games where I can visually see that. But I can't hear it. Either way some of those visual subtle scares were well done, the hand wrapped around the corner(thankfully could hear those sounds) the shadow on the wall(reminds me of mike oldfield) anyways thanks for the video it is always fun watching something like this from you. EDIT: the 23:00 minute mark is such a good scene..I mean the groaning doesnt have alot of like detail to it but those damned floating corpses. REALLY remins me of that one scene in FEAR 2 where Alma is in the school hallway in the corner moving around.
What a weird game concept. I mean, horror sewers, sure - whatever - but man, you must *really* love your damn doggo. I’ve had a doggo. I loved him very much. I would - and did - put myself at risk when he did dumb things that endangered him. But I would turn back about five, ten minutes into that search… and come back with an armed mob, if I really cared that much.
That's what I'm saying, this feels more like a fuck it, let's roll with it kinda game, cause damn the MC is dumb ASF😂, like CreepyPasta levels of dumb😂💀

Hey IGP, I watch you on mobile device often and most of the time the video is too dark. Maybe turn the brightness or contrast up just a hair? Also, your commentary is easily the best part of the vid, but with these mic games you get quiet or silent. Maybe tune the sensitivity so you can talk or murmur to us a bit more? Fun fakt: in alien Isolation, the IA enemy is adapting to your hiding places and actively learning so at some point, you can't really hide/have to change often hiding places, because it will find you. Idk if, when you turn easy mode, if it will "disable" the feature :3 Have a nice day
At 9:02 I laughed so hard. You literally yelling at the body "Roy" and then realizing that wouldn't make any sense. It would've been such a short game.
So its basicly a mix of Amnesia and Lost in Vivo with a microphone gameplay mechanic, intergrated. I love the idea yet I'm also terrified by it. I'm the guy that could only play silent hill 1 during the day when it came out back in the day. Also that blinking effect.
I love these games and I actually have an idea for a part two I want the man to have a son who comes looking for him and tries to find him and then as to fight and kill the monster or he calls for the police then maybe some kind of organization comes for the beast and take it or kills it this really got me think I loved how it ended and I kind of want a part two but I'm js suggesting it would sound kind of cool

The games terrifying for sure. but I've yet to see a enemy that is as dynamic as the Alien- and honestly I want a sequel to that game.

Reminds me of that game with the kid looking for his dog that went missing. The kid soon learns the dog was taken to be experimented on to become human-like and is searching for the kid in the lab facility.

This guy knows how to scare! Trenches had me taut with nerves by the end and the one right at the end of the first play I flinched so badly I had to stop watching my phone for a while.

I feel like those cheap jump-scare can serve a bigger purpose because of the in-game mic. Imagine you scream just to be forced to run somewhere to hide as a consequence for jumpscared

I feel like for your not wanting to leave safe areas, you could get scared once on purpose to see what its like and that might help you be less scared. Of course some things dont work for everyone but its worth a shot.

In my opinion, a really good ending could've been if the guy didn't die. The skin stealer being as smart as it was could've just simply stayed in Roy's body. Doing so, it could've escaped to the surface. And yes, I understand it could've just stole the guy's skin and did it the other way, but still, good game either way.
I watch a lot of your videos, for some reason I really enjoy watching YOU play videogames =p, and this is my new favorite. Don't get me wrong, I love your commentary, but watching you have to stay quiet and as a result be MORE invested in the game was really fun. This game is ingenious and really terrifying, and I love your content dude. Keep doing what you're doing and maybe try to do more of these types of games, or at least in your solo horror plays try to comment a little less and role play a little more. This game seems to have a blink mechanic, but unlike SCP where you find out right at the start why you shouldn't blink, thus you keep your eyes open as long as possible, this one hasn't said anything. So, why is it so long between blinks? A person normally blinks every couple seconds.

I remember the first time playing Bioshock, you finally reached Rapture only to be met with the sounds of the Splicers yelling and screaming, running all over the place...the groans and creaks of the city. I remember my first time playing DeadSpace and you first land on the Ishimura...only to be met with the sounds of a semi derelict spaceship, the crawling and slithering sounds of the Necromorphs. There is a a powerful distinct dB range and low dB's that really REALLY bring life and context to these worlds..ambience and atmosphere etc etc. This is one of those games where I can visually see that. But I can't hear it. Either way some of those visual subtle scares were well done, the hand wrapped around the corner(thankfully could hear those sounds) the shadow on the wall(reminds me of mike oldfield) anyways thanks for the video it is always fun watching something like this from you. EDIT: the 23:00 minute mark is such a good scene..I mean the groaning doesnt have alot of like detail to it but those damned floating corpses. REALLY remins me of that one scene in FEAR 2 where Alma is in the school hallway in the corner moving around.

I’ve had a doggo. I loved him very much. I would - and did - put myself at risk when he did dumb things that endangered him.
But I would turn back about five, ten minutes into that search… and come back with an armed mob, if I really cared that much.
That's what I'm saying, this feels more like a fuck it, let's roll with it kinda game, cause damn the MC is dumb ASF😂, like CreepyPasta levels of dumb😂💀

I love games like these in which you go to completely degenerated places that should not exist in underground tunnels like of course LIV and other one that comes to mind was Adam: Lost Memories, especially that one, it was such a freaking creepy af game.

Hey IGP, I watch you on mobile device often and most of the time the video is too dark. Maybe turn the brightness or contrast up just a hair? Also, your commentary is easily the best part of the vid, but with these mic games you get quiet or silent. Maybe tune the sensitivity so you can talk or murmur to us a bit more? Fun fakt: in alien Isolation, the IA enemy is adapting to your hiding places and actively learning so at some point, you can't really hide/have to change often hiding places, because it will find you. Idk if, when you turn easy mode, if it will "disable" the feature :3

So its basicly a mix of Amnesia and Lost in Vivo with a microphone gameplay mechanic, intergrated. I love the idea yet I'm also terrified by it. I'm the guy that could only play silent hill 1 during the day when it came out back in the day. Also that blinking effect.
