You did run into a few small bugs (thankfully they didn't seem to detract from the experience too much), all of which have now been patched (for example, your owner target locking onto you when you successfully escape a chase). I can also definitely see that you had some trouble figuring out what to do in Chapter 5 (the backyard chapter) which has also since been patched to make things more clear. I've also improved the clarity of objectives in the final chapter because it was pretty confusing where to go, and I will continue to add clarifying details to make things make more sense. Side note, I absolutely love how obsessed with the party everyone is! In the end, I cannot thank you enough for playing through the whole game and all of your kind words and support through development and launch mean the world to me! P.S. the owner growling really makes sense. When people get mad at their dogs they see it as being growled at. This game is really sad, as this is a lot of dogs lives.
That is why whenever my dog starts to bark, I don't get mad at her unless I have given her ages to stop, but normally I will go outside or on the deck and sit beside her, giving her belly rubs or scratches behind the ear. I tell her that it is ok and that I can't see anything that is a potential threat to us. And the difference it makes! She will listen to me a lot better than if someone goes and shouts at her or makes growling noises to get her to stop. I always tell my older sister off if she yells at my dog.
This game reminded me of the time I saved a dog from a kid. I live in a nice neighborhood so stray dogs are rare, but there is a pitbull everyone calls Monon, and he has a specific relation with me, every day I walk he comes bounding down the street and trots alongside me. One day I come home from college and I did go on my daily walk and Monon was nowhere to be seen, I walk down the area where he joins me, and a kid is beating him with a cane, Monon sees me and bolts for me and he jumps into my arms with the kid chasing him, I couldn't outrun the kid since I was carrying a 70lbs pitbull in my arms so all I could do was brace for impact, I took five hits from the cane 3 on the head, and 2 on the leg. I had to set down Monon and the kid tried to hit Monon I grabbed the cane and threw it into a tree and I told the kid to get lost before I call the police for animal abuse, the kid bolted back home knowing I wasn't playing any games. I later took Monon to the vet, and he made a healthy recovery, and he still walks with me. In the end, I received stitches in leg and on my head.
Dang, you handled the situation better than I would've. I can't handle animal abusers, so I would either end up in jail for retaliating or forced them to take me to their parents to tell them what their child had been doing.
@@Nicostuffz Thank you, but here's the kicker, the vet who looked at Monon did a DNA test, and they found DNA traces similar to that of my sister's pitbull rescue Acadia, so I believe Monon and Acadia are half-siblings

It’s honestly unreal how game developers can just construct ideas like this. Animals probably see the world so much differently than people do. So, just getting an inside look of what they see is such a neat concept.

Jack Russell terrier. They tend to have those perfectly heart shaped folded ears that perk just above the head + the size and prey drive. Had one that looked almost exactly like this one but black where there was brown as a kid.
If the dog on the thumbnail is the same it is in the game then it’s a jack terrier russel and they are very communicative, anxious dogs so they’re the perfect pick for a game like this in my opinion

I wanna become a dog trainer and sometimes when I watch other dog trainer's videos and see how the owners treat their dogs I honestly just wonder why they got a dog in the first place. some dogs would be better off on the streets than with some humans... they are way too pure and good hearted to be treated like that!
It's because of objectification. People who think like this have pets because "it's popular" or "it makes me look good" or some other bs having to do with image or material wealth, and because they see pets as nothing more than an item, they get pissy when said "item" misbehaves or doesn't do what they want "it" to do. Basically it's the pet equivalent of a trophy wife: nothing more than an object for the sake of ownership.
I can honestly say that this is the most terrifying horror game I've ever encountered. You hit it right on the money when you said that the implications of this poor creatures situations makes it all feel more real, and therefore more horrifying. This is truley a wonderful game, thank you IGP for making this playthrough! :0

Pedigree went through exactly what the fake brand Dex-o did a few years back. They ended up being investigated because their food was making dogs severely Ill and sometimes killed them. Tbh I don’t think many people know about this now. But anyways, this is a pretty cool game.
Yeah that's one of the reasons I'm considering cooking my own pet food! A lot of the commercial brands look so artificial and unhealthy. I remember this one cat food commercial that promoted this "gravy" substance that they got from God knows where. I know this definitely isn't true for all pet brands, but a lot of them honestly feel like junk food for animals, but nastier.
@@pantherbeastly3934 I think the cat food brand you're referring to is Purina cat food, the gravy contained some unknown substances that actually was making cats sick. I may be wrong on the brand but I know exactly what you're referring to. As for the home made pet food, I 100% recommend doing this. I do it for my cats and I can tell you they're so much healthier, Their coats are a lot shiner and my elderly cat acts full of energy. She doesn't even act like she's 8. It's really beneficial for your pets to eat raw/ home made foods because you can control what goes in them and what nutrients your pets get.

@@puppydogs68 yes it’s true. It happened a long time ago, maybe over a decade? I remember it being a huge topic and deal when I was younger. But you can definitely search up the articles on it if you’re curious. Lots of news coverage happened when it went down. If I remember correctly, animals were also having seizures and dying from the chemicals they had in the food? I might be blowing it out of proportion but it was something pretty messed up at the time.
I think the most disturbing part about this game is that after a while of playing and failing, you start to get into the mindset of this dog, or atleast I did. In this mindset, you start to actually fell how much fear this dog does, and actively look for a way to hide. I've only had a couple of games do this for me. Most that put me in this mindset involved your characters size, and the environment around it. This idea paired with a dog in a VERY suggested home definitely put me on edge and I'm just a viewer
It would be even cooler if we got to see the literal vision of the dog as red/green color-blind. They can see blue and yellow really well, but an apple (green or red) would be a yellowish or greyish color.
What an incredible game that pulls on your heartstrings. I bought it immediately after watching this because it was so well done. I really hope to see more from this developer and am going to drop a steam review as well, just to get this out there more, so this person can keep doing what they love. Passion like this is missed in a lot of recent AAA titles I feel.
I watch a lot of your horror game videos and enjoy them so much. I don't get scared much by most of them but enjoy the humor in your fear and screams while playing. This game though, hit me different. I think its because I love my dogs so much and understand the stress they go through with strange surroundings and abandonment. Love your videos.

I would love to see a sequel of this where the dog is in a shelter or a puppy farm. Both places are extremely traumatic for a dog and it could really encourage people to adopt more
@@yippeeflowers …what? No…Adopt from shelters INSTEAD of buying puppies from puppy farms. And either way, a lot of rescues in shelters come from puppy farms to begin with. Trust me I work with dogs so it hits home watching games like this, but if it spreads awareness and makes an impact then by all means I’m down for it
It's said that game has 3 endings. Maybe there is a good ending for doggo? This game is sad as hell, but man thinking about it (abused dog, the game etc.) while the credits music played.... I cried.
This is the type of game that I aspire to make, as this is a game that portrays a story that is original yet sadly common, I truly hope that this video reaches people who consider pets as toys to be abused and creatures that don't feel emotions nor pain, fear or hunger. WHY could this not have a happy ending?! 😢 😢IGP was absolutely right saying you would probably break down crying at least twice! I did so in the beginning when I heard it was about an abused pup, and if there's anything I CANNOT stand, it's animal cruelty... And then the pupper didn't even get a good ending 😢 Complete heartbreak... Yes it's a game! But this sh*t actually happens irl, far too often!
Whew... I have a little rescue who was abused and neglected by the previous owners. I literally love her so much, and our 7 year bond is untouchable. Watching this is actually pretty difficult for me, I won't lie. Great game though 💜

Was that part of this experiment i heard about from various movies where scientists tested to see if a adult parent animal could tell when it's child was in pain or in danger without seeing or being near it? For example i think it was "Silence of the lambs" that showed a scientist about to put a lite cigarette against a kitten to see if the mom would react.

Don't know what to say, there are way to many thoughts circling in my Head after watching the Game. Not in a bad Way, although you may say it's kinda disturbing. But the way how the Game concept, the Events, the View and the Story are implemented makes me want to Play it myself. Even more because of the topic, it makes you thinking. Sometime in the 2000's there was a mass contamination of pet food that ended up poisoning and killing, like, thousands of pets, and as someone who eventually ended up losing his brother(He might have been a cat, but he was still my brother) to complications we're pretty sure originated from it, as much as it sounds weird to say, I appreciate this ending. This stuff really does happen.
the horror games that really get me are the ones that are based in reality, nothing will scare me more than real life situations that people do/can experience, so the implications of something as real as abuse is what really makes this horrific and scary (it puts you in a situation thats plausible, it doesnt play out exactly like a "game" it's a walkthrough)
I actually like this. It slowly becomes an open world horror game and it’s pretty realistic. In graphics and the story line. Which makes it even more terrifying
This so so sad. What makes it even worse is that dogs, even other animals go through this kind of abuse and are forced to experience such torturous hardships.

This horror game is brilliant. It really makes you wonder what perspective dogs go through. This poor dog clearly saw normal human things (loud noises) as scary and nightmarish. Can you imagine how terrified of shock collars they are? It’s so sad!
I volunteered at animal shelters 10-13 and I have been in reptile shelters, Standard shelters, and I’ve helped out in Animal Sanctuary shelters. I have been around Atleast 20 dogs, pups, Cats, Kittens, Snakes even, Ferrets, Even a turtle and ect.. These animals are very scared and afraid, but it’s shocking what a week or month or a year with other people can do to an animal, One time a snake was very aggressive and a part of it was from being reduced from a crack house where it was abused and tested on, it had cigarette burns as well. After resting and healing we found a good family who has rescued many animals from the shelter I volunteer most at, and not a week later, she called us and sent us images and pictures of the snake, and it was interacting amazingly with her kids, and other snakes, (It’s not venomous and it was defanged WITHOUT PROPER CARE by the abuser.)
Watched this, immediately turned to my cats, hugged them, and gave them a treat. I'm never getting a dog because of how many rejections I faced with shelters, but I'm gonna love my cats extra much right now.
The dog's pov when there are fireworks made me remember my dog who's always scared every new years, he would always hide under the tables on the very far corner of our house. Seeing this, made me realized how super scared he really was.

It makes me so sad when I start to think about my current dog, who was originally in a kill shelter, and still has instinctual reactions to certain types of people. I wonder what she could've gone through before, and who could have not wanted her?

actually as someone with autism i always said we are more similar to dog than human and this game show a lot of thing the way i used to see and percieve thing, especially with loud sound. i didn't cry but i related a lot

I think that dog is either a Jack Russell or maybe a Beagle. Probably the Jack Russell because of its bark and size aswell. I could be wrong though. I think they have floppy ears 🤔

I wanna become a dog trainer and sometimes when I watch other dog trainer's videos and see how the owners treat their dogs I honestly just wonder why they got a dog in the first place. some dogs would be better off on the streets than with some humans... they are way too pure and good hearted to be treated like that!
It's because of objectification. People who think like this have pets because "it's popular" or "it makes me look good" or some other bs having to do with image or material wealth, and because they see pets as nothing more than an item, they get pissy when said "item" misbehaves or doesn't do what they want "it" to do. Basically it's the pet equivalent of a trophy wife: nothing more than an object for the sake of ownership.
I can honestly say that this is the most terrifying horror game I've ever encountered.
You hit it right on the money when you said that the implications of this poor creatures situations makes it all feel more real, and therefore more horrifying. This is truley a wonderful game, thank you IGP for making this playthrough! :0

Yeah that's one of the reasons I'm considering cooking my own pet food! A lot of the commercial brands look so artificial and unhealthy. I remember this one cat food commercial that promoted this "gravy" substance that they got from God knows where. I know this definitely isn't true for all pet brands, but a lot of them honestly feel like junk food for animals, but nastier.
@@pantherbeastly3934 I think the cat food brand you're referring to is Purina cat food, the gravy contained some unknown substances that actually was making cats sick. I may be wrong on the brand but I know exactly what you're referring to.
As for the home made pet food, I 100% recommend doing this. I do it for my cats and I can tell you they're so much healthier, Their coats are a lot shiner and my elderly cat acts full of energy. She doesn't even act like she's 8. It's really beneficial for your pets to eat raw/ home made foods because you can control what goes in them and what nutrients your pets get.

If I remember correctly, animals were also having seizures and dying from the chemicals they had in the food? I might be blowing it out of proportion but it was something pretty messed up at the time.
I think the most disturbing part about this game is that after a while of playing and failing, you start to get into the mindset of this dog, or atleast I did. In this mindset, you start to actually fell how much fear this dog does, and actively look for a way to hide.
I've only had a couple of games do this for me. Most that put me in this mindset involved your characters size, and the environment around it. This idea paired with a dog in a VERY suggested home definitely put me on edge and I'm just a viewer
It would be even cooler if we got to see the literal vision of the dog as red/green color-blind. They can see blue and yellow really well, but an apple (green or red) would be a yellowish or greyish color.
What an incredible game that pulls on your heartstrings. I bought it immediately after watching this because it was so well done. I really hope to see more from this developer and am going to drop a steam review as well, just to get this out there more, so this person can keep doing what they love. Passion like this is missed in a lot of recent AAA titles I feel.

I watch a lot of your horror game videos and enjoy them so much. I don't get scared much by most of them but enjoy the humor in your fear and screams while playing. This game though, hit me different. I think its because I love my dogs so much and understand the stress they go through with strange surroundings and abandonment. Love your videos.

I would love to see a sequel of this where the dog is in a shelter or a puppy farm. Both places are extremely traumatic for a dog and it could really encourage people to adopt more

Don't know what to say, there are way to many thoughts circling in my Head after watching the Game. Not in a bad Way, although you may say it's kinda disturbing. But the way how the Game concept, the Events, the View and the Story are implemented makes me want to Play it myself. Even more because of the topic, it makes you thinking. And wanting to find out what other ways, Twists and endings are possible.

Sometime in the 2000's there was a mass contamination of pet food that ended up poisoning and killing, like, thousands of pets, and as someone who eventually ended up losing his brother(He might have been a cat, but he was still my brother) to complications we're pretty sure originated from it, as much as it sounds weird to say, I appreciate this ending. This stuff really does happen.
This video makes me wanna leave work early, just to go home and hug my dog.
the horror games that really get me are the ones that are based in reality, nothing will scare me more than real life situations that people do/can experience, so the implications of something as real as abuse is what really makes this horrific and scary (it puts you in a situation thats plausible, it doesnt play out exactly like a "game" it's a walkthrough)
I actually like this. It slowly becomes an open world horror game and it’s pretty realistic. In graphics and the story line. Which makes it even more terrifying

When the dog gets terrified it’s feels like when I am having a ptsd episode. This game is nicely done
This horror game is brilliant. It really makes you wonder what perspective dogs go through. This poor dog clearly saw normal human things (loud noises) as scary and nightmarish. Can you imagine how terrified of shock collars they are? It’s so sad!
I volunteered at animal shelters 10-13 and I have been in reptile shelters, Standard shelters, and I’ve helped out in Animal Sanctuary shelters. I have been around Atleast 20 dogs, pups, Cats, Kittens, Snakes even, Ferrets, Even a turtle and ect.. These animals are very scared and afraid, but it’s shocking what a week or month or a year with other people can do to an animal, One time a snake was very aggressive and a part of it was from being reduced from a crack house where it was abused and tested on, it had cigarette burns as well. After resting and healing we found a good family who has rescued many animals from the shelter I volunteer most at, and not a week later, she called us and sent us images and pictures of the snake, and it was interacting amazingly with her kids, and other snakes, (It’s not venomous and it was defanged WITHOUT PROPER CARE by the abuser.)
Watched this, immediately turned to my cats, hugged them, and gave them a treat. I'm never getting a dog because of how many rejections I faced with shelters, but I'm gonna love my cats extra much right now.
The dog's pov when there are fireworks made me remember my dog who's always scared every new years, he would always hide under the tables on the very far corner of our house. Seeing this, made me realized how super scared he really was.
That poor little puppy, omg, as a dog mom, this hurts my heart, poor baby, what a game truly.
