Also, in that mountainous wooded area like it looks like the game takes place in, it would very much echo like that with how close the peaks of the mountains are and how much woods are in the area, not many people know this, but things like forests and wooded areas, can, up to a distance, act like an echo chamber, where every little noise anything makes, especially if it gets very quiet, echos like crazy. This can lead to the feeling of being stalked, watched, hearing things that aren't there, and even, under rare and extreme cases, hallucinations.
No, it would not sound like you are in a gymnasium. I literally live in an area like that, sure things echo, but the way that echo sounds is not like in a room. 3:05, would it really echo like this? For walking on grass?? No, it would probably echo like that for louder things, and there's no sound of a forest either.

Credit to @SpringySpringy04 for info Its not, the rendering is a bit different, so is the camera smoothing. The developer may have used the SFX from Gmod/HL2/HL1 So its not a source mod, the developer just used Gmod SFX.
signal simulator started a trend/genre that found its niche rather quickly and now it's a matter of time to see who can make the best game in that genre
Maybe make it like your both in different radio stations MILES away from each other and you have to communicate through either radios (duh), broadcast's and etc. and something can interrupt that broadcast so messages can be changed to something alien-like and unregconisable.
I haven't even watched past the intro yet, but I love that games are starting to take a dive into the genre of extra terrestrial horror themes. Edit: I know there are probably dozens of games with extraterrestrial themes but it's nice to see more as most of them don't really see much light, and are overshadowed by all the other genres with 10x as many games. It's just nice to see a genre gaining more interest.
@@UFC_Buffalo There really aren't that many, considering all of the new horror games being released. It's all supernatural stuff. The few promising looking games about extra-terrestrials that are coming out are still demos. So yeah, that's definitely a start of possibly a new trend.

I think the scariest part about all of this is that you feel alone but you're being stalked at the same time being forced to leave the base in order to fix the satellites is terrifying because you're vulnerable out there. Getting the message saying there is a gun in the garage gives you a bit of hope that you'll be able to protect yourself. And then you look for it you find out it's not there. I love slow burner horror games like these.

It's crazy how much range the source engine has, I immediately knew it with that flashlight click sound. Also the sounds are just so great in this game!
@@ultraseisthat’s done intentionally the dev made the game feel as close to source as possible while still being ue4 the dev originally wanted this to be done entirely with in source but some of his goals the engine struggled with so he made the game in ue4 but purposely added source jank

Those types ofstructures are said that can be created and have the name of "Dyson sphear" (you can find more info on RUclips) they usually come in different styles but are told that they whould be created for obtaining the energy from most of the time, the sun but I think that it can be use as well for a black whole.
@@arinagudumac1804 Stellaris has a mod that adds something called a Penrose Sphere (amongst many other things) which is basically a Dyson Sphere for black holes. It's description is basically a shell made of mirrors and way to draw energy from the radiation from the black hole.
The black hole looks like it's surrounded by Dyson rings- the same things sci-fi writers like to put around stars. It's theoretically possible to harvest energy from a black hole.
Kurzgesagt made a video talking about that. basically you'd build a highly reflective sphere around a blackhole just before the event horizon and then shoot a beam of light at juuuust the right angle so that the gravity well of the blackhole puts the light into an orbit around it that slams into the sides of the sphere and harvest energy from it by cracking it open every once in a while. Or. Keep it sealed shut until it builds up so much power it explodes into the Grandmother of all Bombs

Did you know that there are many of huge satellites which are built so precisely that they move to only a few centre meters off of the ground. The ones in Parks Australia can do it and they were built and used for the first moon landing. It’s crazy the engineering that goes into them

Did you ever check the trash again after you cleaned it up? Seems a good way to measure outside activity while you are asleep, away, or just swapping hard drives. Do it enough times and you might find a pattern of outside activity. Imagine that all the creepy stuff is happening while you are sleeping. Imagine cleaning it up, going inside, come back out 3 minutes later to find something WAS JUST THERE…

sept 15 2023 the demo has updated to 0.6.2 it added fishing to the game oh and power systems to appliances and scrap crafting specifically for making money if you somehow manage to automate your work

You can actually get on top of your base by throwing your bike on top while trying to ride it, then you can get the 2 props on top like the astronaut and the satellite with an Easter egg file, I'll let you have a listen to that 😅 Ps: just watch the whole thing on my Xbox but uh. That astronaut one reminds me of the song Major Tom, it's about a man getting flinged out into space never to be seen again. It's rumored to be real, sense two different people, one from the U.S.A (I think) then a German, wrote songs that didn't know each other. They have different lyrics if I remember correctly, but they both have the line "Give my wife my love, then nothing more." I would definitely go check out the song!

It's not made with Source, it's an Unreal 4 game. The only source/valve related thing are most of the sound effects being from HL/HL2/etc...

The black hole looks like it's surrounded by Dyson rings- the same things sci-fi writers like to put around stars. It's theoretically possible to harvest energy from a black hole.

Why would you do that when stars are still around? Or rather why would someone in the past do that, when even more stars were around?
Kurzgesagt made a video talking about that. basically you'd build a highly reflective sphere around a blackhole just before the event horizon and then shoot a beam of light at juuuust the right angle so that the gravity well of the blackhole puts the light into an orbit around it that slams into the sides of the sphere and harvest energy from it by cracking it open every once in a while.

Keep it sealed shut until it builds up so much power it explodes into the Grandmother of all Bombs
Look up and read about the Penrose Engine (or Penrose Process). Basically turns a black hole into a simple engine

The structure around the "Black Hole" looks a lot like a Dyson Sphere. Essentially a stellar sized energy harvester.
Which is a structure that would also make sense around a black hole, so the scale of way off, the image is somewhat plausible.

Did you know that there are many of huge satellites which are built so precisely that they move to only a few centre meters off of the ground. The ones in Parks Australia can do it and they were built and used for the first moon landing. It’s crazy the engineering that goes into them

Hmmm, I don't think that this was made in GMod, the rendering is a little different and also the camera smoothing... maybe the developer just used the sound effects from gmod/hl2? Then again I'm only a few minutes into the video so I'm likely wrong
The physics and sound effects remind me of the source engine (the engine Gmod uses) but I don't think it's in Gmod.

Did you ever check the trash again after you cleaned it up? Seems a good way to measure outside activity while you are asleep, away, or just swapping hard drives. Do it enough times and you might find a pattern of outside activity. Imagine that all the creepy stuff is happening while you are sleeping. Imagine cleaning it up, going inside, come back out 3 minutes later to find something WAS JUST THERE…

That astronaut one reminds me of the song Major Tom, it's about a man getting flinged out into space never to be seen again. It's rumored to be real, sense two different people, one from the U.S.A (I think) then a German, wrote songs that didn't know each other. They have different lyrics if I remember correctly, but they both have the line "Give my wife my love, then nothing more." I would definitely go check out the song!
