IGP is like an indie horror game, so much time and effort put into bringing entertainment but sadly, many people don’t get to see it. I’ve noticed that IGP adds effects to his voice depending on the room. LOVE IT.

The only thing that really kind of makes me question the design is one of the reasons why IGP failed the mission. When the body distorts like it did at the end, it's supposed to be on the embalming table which makes it look like it's pointing at the hallway door. If you don't go through the hallway door towards the lobby, the game locks up and you can't interact with the cadaver anymore until the scripted scare is satisfied. To a first-timer player, I can absolutely see how this can be missed. I feel like the ending was stolen from IGP because of how the scripted scares require you to interact with them before you can do some things, seemingly at random: Place the mark, open your inventory, use the computer, touch the gurney, turn on lights, open doors... etc. Each scripted event requires satisfying before you can access the thing that was blocked and at times it feels like the game has bugged out since there's no obvious way to tell what to do unless you've seen it before. It's my only complaint about an otherwise awesomely atmospheric and satisfying horror experience.
Man that sucks. Well at least we got to see an ending where everything except the sigil was done; not even using one being the wrong one, so there's that I guess.
@@SevKast_7 Some of them are 'scripted' in the sense that they're not one of the dynamic, randomly occurring ones that come and go, but are tied into narrative events that deliver parts of the backstory, but in order to ensure that they can actually be explored and interacted with to get this story and you don't just blow through it by ignoring events, it kind of locks out everything else to make you have to go and follow through with the scene.
Holy shit the changes igp did to his voice. Like it bouncing in the body room at the start etc. So high quality stuff. Can't really find this kind of dedication to video editing in other places.

Damn this seems like a crazy game. I’m literally thinking "oh it’ll be ok to play this" but I know I would be too scared when immersed. So thank you. The idea that all games will be different is just awesome. I just subscribed in hope of seeing a second episode. P.S : you damn brave. It would really be too emotionally overwhelming for me to play. Also that creature that was squatting on the shelf and hide in a place it just couldn’t logically hide, that’s the kind of things that amaze me.

THOSE are the best playthroughs. Not these cut ones where they pretend they don't know where everything is but actually do
I swear this game unnerves the hell out of me and I'm not even the one playing it! The developers did a fantastic job creating the atmosphere of tension where it's not just cheap jumpscares, but the demons literally harassing you almost nonstop to creating perpetual tension. You don't know what they are going to do, you can't predict their next action, so the game does not become stale and predictable as you go. Which often is the leading crutch in any horror game, knowing how the demon, monster, ect is going to act and you then know how to prepare every time. You can't even stand around either because the demons have you on a clock; the more you piss around, the worse their harassment will get. I really hope the game creators follow this formula and build on it! They have a really good approach and I hope they expound upon this game and make more like this! (Also RUclips can piss off with their flagging policies. I'm glad I got to see the original)

Watching this for the first time as a student preparing to be a mortician and I have to say, setting is honestly perfect for a game like this. And about being dead inside, it kinda just becomes a normal job from what I understand. Doesn't change how you see death usually. Would still be shitting your pants like a normal person lmao Also fun fact, bodies can move a bit post-mortem due to releases of gasses and such and can even appear to breath at times. Freaky stuff.

I remember seeing this game’s demo a few years ago and have seen RUclipsrs do videos on it as the game grew. Haven’t seen or heard anything about it for a while and to see what it’s become is awe inspiring.

This feels like a game version of the tower of terror in Disney world, no ride is ever the same twice 😄 this game is amazing and I'm glad to see that it didn't differ significantly from the demo, which hyped up this game so much and so freaking well.
I'm usually not afraid of horror games in general (most of the "scares" are either cliché or just gross), somehow they got it just right with glimpsing something horrifying in your peripheral, or just looking away for a moment and having something suddenly there. This is good.

Glad I caught this. I would like to see more if YT doesn't do their bs again. Also, I'm 60% sure the sigils have to be put in order to match the demon's name as well as having the right body.
@@Soron661 not his fault his body got bugged and didn't reset back to normal position so he couldn't place the marker on it. One of many soft locking bugs you have reload to fix it.
@@oraeku regent is part of steps you have to do cant be skipped. There some bugs that soft lock one being the body not resetting to normal after the event finishes another you just get stuck in the void only able interact with the clipboard. IGP might been on the version before the patch was out that fixes some of these. Game was made by a singe dev so things life this are not surprising

Nice to hear how far The Mortuary Assistant has come. I watched it a while back when it first came out as a demo. Seriously, props to them for actually fleshing the game out instead of turning it into a lazy cashgrab.

The grandmother thing was by far the biggest brown pants moment for me. May it's the soft rain/atmosphere, but it gave me that deep chill feeling. Like looking at something that shouldn't exist.
I love how your gameplay is so different from icys. It's so interesting to see how other people's first experiences differ. Some more extreme, like yours. Others more subtle
I work for a funeral home. I started when I was 18 and now I’m 22. Kinda fell in to because my grandma works as the person who makes arrangements. I do it as a summer job when I’m out of school. With that being said, I still get the creeps when I’m in the funeral home alone… especially at night. Thanks IGP😂 If you ever see this comment, I would love to tell you some crazy stories lol!

It's got such great potential to be that game that finally puts the nail in your coffin 🙃 Really though, what a good horror game. My sole complaint is the fire graphics could look less rounded but other than that, perfect kind of indie game for your channel.

The game is like straight out of movie. I remember watching a movie of a police officer being a mortician while having possessed corpse from failed exorcism. I forgot the name of the movie but this one must be inspired by it

I am so glad you were able to repost. I think you had the right body but you had to place the mark on it. The reason you couldn't place the Mark is because the body was in the middle of a scripted event and you had to go down that other hallway to complete the event. The body would have returned to normal and then you could have placed the mark and then burned it. This happened to other streamers who did not realize they were stuck in events and couldn't figure out why they couldn't continue properly.
Quite late, but I have to say the editing quality if this video is top notch. I noticed a slight reverb and echo to your voice when you were at the long halls which is a nice addition that makes the gameplay feel more surreal (at 25:13 for reference). Love your videos, keep up the good work!
I’m so glad you played this again. I tried out the demo after you played it and even though the demo was like 5 mins long it was clear right away this game is special. It definitely has its own unique feel to it

I think what you missed was the special embalming fluid from the old cupboard, maybe you edited it out but I don't remember you using before trying to put the mark on the body. Glad I caught this. I would like to see more if YT doesn't do their bs again. Also, I'm 60% sure the sigils have to be put in order to match the demon's name as well as having the right body.

@@Soron661 not his fault his body got bugged and didn't reset back to normal position so he couldn't place the marker on it. One of many soft locking bugs you have reload to fix it.
I thought it was since he embalmed before marking and didn’t add the Reagant to anyone he couldn’t do it because it was out of order.
@@oraeku regent is part of steps you have to do cant be skipped. There some bugs that soft lock one being the body not resetting to normal after the event finishes another you just get stuck in the void only able interact with the clipboard. IGP might been on the version before the patch was out that fixes some of these. Game was made by a singe dev so things life this are not surprising

The grandmother thing was by far the biggest brown pants moment for me. May it's the soft rain/atmosphere, but it gave me that deep chill feeling. Like looking at something that shouldn't exist.
I love how your gameplay is so different from icys. It's so interesting to see how other people's first experiences differ. Some more extreme, like yours. Others more subtle
I work for a funeral home. I started when I was 18 and now I’m 22. Kinda fell in to because my grandma works as the person who makes arrangements. I do it as a summer job when I’m out of school. With that being said, I still get the creeps when I’m in the funeral home alone… especially at night. Thanks IGP😂

I'm guessing this is a re-upload cause YT is a garbage fire when it comes to age restricting videos. Welp, I said it last night and I'll say it again. Please keep playing this one. It's got such great potential to be that game that finally puts the nail in your coffin 🙃 Really though, what a good horror game. My sole complaint is the fire graphics could look less rounded but other than that, perfect kind of indie game for your channel.

The game is like straight out of movie. I remember watching a movie of a police officer being a mortician while having possessed corpse from failed exorcism. I forgot the name of the movie but this one must be inspired by it

I am so glad you were able to repost. I think you had the right body but you had to place the mark on it. The reason you couldn't place the Mark is because the body was in the middle of a scripted event and you had to go down that other hallway to complete the event. The body would have returned to normal and then you could have placed the mark and then burned it. This happened to other streamers who did not realize they were stuck in events and couldn't figure out why they couldn't continue properly.

Quite late, but I have to say the editing quality if this video is top notch. I noticed a slight reverb and echo to your voice when you were at the long halls which is a nice addition that makes the gameplay feel more surreal (at 25:13 for reference). Love your videos, keep up the good work!
