These compete well with each other since they're both fwd platforms. They don't really compete with rwd platform rigs like the GV80, X5 or GLE. I really like the value this MDX provides though! Acura did a great job!

The MDX is a strong choice in this segment. The Type-S is going to make it that much stronger against the GV80, X5, GLE and Q7. It may not be as luxurious as, say a GV80, but it's not meant to be. The MDX has always been more on the dynamic end of the driving experience. The MDX to the GV80 is like the X5 to the GLE. The big miss by Acura, to me, is the 2nd and row seats really should have been electrically activated. But maybe their market surveys didn't prove that that was a requirement of buyers, especialy considering the extra weight of the motors and the slowness of a lot of those systems.

It was interesting how those two were so similar on multiple points. But I think the SH-AWD from Acura still have the edge on Cadillac. Specially on bad weather days. Another point to is the space for families. The MDX looks a little more thoughtful on family space and practicality. For me the MDX would be the winner, but the Cadillac looks to be a great choice as well.

A couple things you missed.. The hidden rear wiper which doesn't get loaded up with snow in the Cadillac
The folding third row seats are electric up and down in the Cadillac. (Manual in the MDX (something I couldn't live with)
And for the last 10 years Cadillacs heated and vented seats have worked off of the climate control, there's no setting for them they just do it. If you remotely start the car your climate control can actually be turned off and it will go by the last temperature setting when you last drove and appropriately turns on the heat or AC, the vented or heated seats, and heated steering wheel if applicable, also overhead AC vents cools the car really quickly something a lot of three rows don't have including the Audi Q7 it will also lock the doors after 8 seconds when you walk away from the car so you never have to worry about if you locked it or not, if you go for the 360 camera it will automatically turn on if you get too close to something like in the Drive-Thru, You don't have to flip it on yourself
aside from the fact that it's just a classier looking vehicle it just seems like they do everything right. maybe it comes from being in the business so long..it happens to be the best car I ever owned and just ordered a new one. It just seems like they do everything right even to the fact that they don't constantly annoy you if you don't have your seatbelt on. it's just a light chime every 15 minutes.
And in fact it is not a money pit I have had zero problems with it and this is after buying Lexus, Toyota and Infiniti for years..

@@SamCarLegion i agree. But if you could do it or find a way to be able to give further information on how these cars would be like to live with that would be great for your viewers. It could also separate you from all other car reviewers. Most car reviews say the same thing all over again like engine, power, features, ride etc. Its almost like reading an old book again and again. If you could think outside the box of what the people would actually need to know in the real world about these cars then you make your review unique (in a good way) to those you actually watch these videos.
Being bias is one thing, i understand this is Car business but to tell the truth about these cars is another. For example a good question: after 5 years of ownership would i still like this car i picked rather than the other?
Or can i live with this car for the next 5 years of my life?
How much would i probably spend to keep it after warranty is over?
I think these things most people would want to know.
      Thanks for your replies tho.

@@savyshifts2744 here to chat and help. It’s very difficult to predict and almost impossible. Predictably of car reliability is like the stock market, almost impossible to predict. Which is why most car reviewers don’t both. I at least compare them, most don’t even do comparisons. I have done 4-5 comparisons per model! That’s a lot! I think that’s what separates me from others. You just can’t compare them in terms of reliability. I have tried to create a chart and talk about it, and i end up in tunnel vision because information is limited. Where do you get all the numbers? How can you cross check? How can people be guaranteed that they are truthful and fact check themselves? Honestly it’s almost impossible. Used cars is easy, hence what consumers reports uses.

X5 rated too high, those things fall apart after 60k and the interior decorated in extravagance is plain. I agree it’s an all around SUV but lacks interior style, storage
