I have similar condition just 2weeks ago. Ive been diagnosed with spine deterioration 2years ago. And I've since been doing my stretches and yoga everyday to build cire muscles. When this last attach took place 2 weeks ago, I am almost all the time lieing down on my stomach and arch my back. And I keep doing side tilts.

And I don't stay still in a particular position for too long. every 2hours I'm trying to fire up my back to break down the tightness. My initial condition was I couldn't even move a bit forward o brush my teeth, difficulty to wear my pants, get off the bed, needle poking into buttocks feeling, numbers in leg.... I was able to improve to full recovery. ... And I'm back to able to do my yoga full down dog pose without bending knees

Hey 39knights, hip joint replacements don't just 'pop' out. There's lots of evidence to say you should treat it like a normal joint following the surgery, including hip flexion and external rotation. Without assessing you I can't say for sure, but I would recommend using pain as your guide

This won’t work during acute stage as you will do harm than good. This should be done before to prevent it.Most sciatica relieves with mzkenzie positions and no straight leg raise. There are other ways to stretch it..buti if you dont have shooting pain do this but I can’t imagine thhis during flare up.
