I have no idea what I don't know. There's a healthy attitude.
I was thinking the very same thing when he said that!
You'd think he never saw a tail dragger before. Crazy to see him go from looking like another Patey Pro Pilot to the new kid in class in one video.
Or altitude😂
Aside from the great flying you guys do, the friendship you gentlemen share is contagious! Hope I can fly with you all one day!
Got my license 2 weeks ago and Just flew my first hour in a cub and it was amazing thank you for all your inspirational videos🙏
@GracieM thank you man means alot
Love the quote at the end:
"I have no idea of what I don't know"
"I'm scared up this high. I see clouds and shit..." classic
“I have no idea what I don’t know”! Well put. I went all in when I started my PPL. End up buying a Cherokee 140 20 hours into training because I knew I didn’t want to be held back by having to rent something. I had no idea what I was getting into, but wouldn’t do it any differently. Well, maybe a couple things.
Yeah it was well put… i was right there with you… I was 8 hours into my ppl when I got my pacer… lol
Now all ya need is a BestTugs to move that BestTugs Carbon Cub! :D :P
Your videos inspired me to take back to the skies, just passed my private checkride yesterday. Thanks for getting me back into flying!
Great to see such a happy group of guys having a good time with so many smiles between you.
Nice! It would be awesome to see full video of Kevin teaching in the cub!
Hey, we used to smoke in the grocery stores!
I remember when doctors promoted cigarettes 🤣.
I remember when people would smoke in the hospital!
You guys are kids🤣🤣🤣
Funny video. These guys are cracking me up flying in a 182.
Well well well look who it is! Haha
@@hcr-motorworks I’m just here for planes and plane accessories.
LOVE that Skylane! Thanks for another great video Trent!
my first 40 hours were in a tail wheel and now I am finishing my training in a tricycle gear. Almost done with my private baby whoop whoop with tail wheel endorsed!
I have no idea what I don’t know.😂🤣😂
Very nice! I absolutely love that Carbon Cub with the maroon and white paint scheme.
Yay! More friends for you to fly with! Exciting!
Complaining about getting the Skylane in and out of the hanger, but you've got a Carbon Cub with 'Best Tugs" written all over it. Where's your Best Tugs tug???
Nice one, Ryan. I'm sure you're going to be having fun with the guys in no time. Never taxied, took off or landed a tail dragger, so you're one, or three, or four, up on me. Good luck, be safe and remember, you don't stop flying a tail dragger until the bartender pours the second drink! LOL
That's some great times! Rad first taxi!! congrats!!
That's a nice hanger. Lots of room to put stuff and heat too.
Oh wow now I’m envious. Great set of wings right there.
It was great to see you boyz. Ryan, you will love your new toy. LOL
Not old enough to remember flying with smoking sections but im old enough to remember when the vast majority of the planes were previously smoker planes when that was allowed.
I remember when we couldnt smoke, but the planes had the cigarette signs for smoking is okay or no smoking and seats had ash trays not just dinner trays.
Now to get Jonas back in the air. Maybe the flying cowboys should show up for a weekend. Do some fishing, sightseeing oh and avoid the hay bales
Its probably better if Jonas stays on the ground...
Stay on the ground? Cuz he had a miss hap..? If that's the case maybe Cory should stay put too seeing he flipped into the drink... Or maybe Mike should stick to building since he trashed an entire plane.. ??? Personally I can't wait to see him back in the air..
@@asiasmells71 I like Jonas' attitude. Just go for it! Now he's building a shed
@@IkeCoblentz Jonas is building a hanger at his house.
@@POSitiveSoftwareCo Thanks for that info! 😊 I think I watched a video on that just like you did. btw the only difference between a hanger and a shed is if you put an airplane in it.
So good to see him so excited!
I hope to see more of Ryan’s adventure into tail wheel flying. It’s a move that I’d also like to accomplish. Enjoy it Ryan!
Ohhh such a great communication with ATC
Love your content, always relaxing
A taildragger is like having a slow sports car! Beautiful plane! Way to go Ryan! Thanks Trent. Great adventure!
Loved the Skylane shots, identical to the one my grandfather owned from new, one that I did my 182 rating on brought back such good memories!
LOVE that Carbon Cub...Beautiful!
Another great video Trent!!👍🏻
My Brother-In-Law (of Genuine Aircraft Hardware) used to have a Cessna that he'd take us up in.
Seeing you all chatting as you fly reminded me of him.
He passed away a few years ago of Alzheimer's, his Dad's Cessna and the handbuilt-experimental he'd been working on all went to other hands.
I enjoy your channel and the flying I see, the planes and sights all bring back fond memories of hanging out at the Lompoc airport with him.
He lived right at the airport which was a pretty good spot for an A&P like him.
Congrats!
Love the video. Speaking of smoking on airplanes, I remember being on a DC-10 in the last row of nonsmoking with the row immediately behind me of course being beginning of smoking section. Just like a magic barrier, smoke stayed behind us non smokers…lol. Almost started a riot on a similar flight but that’s another story.
I always sat in the smoking section on jets in the '80s.
A good friend always forgets his wallet 😉
Man, I'm not even a flier & I am Super Pumped for Ryan. What a group of buddies to get into flying a new to him plane with.
More great content Trent... and a Patey cameo to boot!
Wow, that Carbon Cub looks fantastic! I only fly in PC simulators, so it was extremely interesting for me to see Quinn's head position in relation to the side window in the 182. You really have to duck down to see straight to the side ...
That's a fine machine, congrats!
I found it cool the tail numbers on Ryan's 182 are 333X and the new Cub is 111XC.
I was looking for the tug. Doesn't Patey throw in a BestTug everytime he sells and airplane? 😁
Congrats on the new plane. That was fun.
Amazing how far that smoke travels! Can't believe how socked in you guys were over there! We even got some of that way out here in MA about a month back or so! Crazy.
Man is that a beautiful aircraft! Would love to own one of those, among a few others. It was entertaining seeing you out of your element, Trent, WAY up in altitude there! :) Great stuff as always!
Your videos make me want to finish my PPL I started many years ago. Unfortunately, cancer and to many narcotics mean I’ll never pass my medical ever again. In the meantime I’ll continue flying vicariously through you guys and I’ll keep checking every day for a new video.
Have you looked into light sport/microlight aircraft? Youll be fairly limited but you might pass the less restrictive medicals.
@@yummypiee6981 good idea and thanks for the suggestion. I’m type 2 diabetic and about to start 9 weeks of radiation treatments 5 days a week for my cancer. I’ve got to many uncertainties right now to commit to something that I may not be able to follow through on.
First I’ve seen of Patey in a month.
Great video, love the comaraderi bull shoot going on, thanks for sharing.
I took two Texas uncles and a cousin moose hunting in my 182 once and shortly after take off one uncle lit up a cigar! Fun!
Time to activate the wind deflector 2000
I live in Kentucky and we had smoke from that Dixie fire here. Great video!
You need to hurry up and get your own hanger Trent. A nice big shed with a sealed apron to make things easier and nicer.
Mike is dissapointed that you aren't using a Best Tug.
Shame on you😂😂😉
You guys will be having so much fun when to smoke clears!.
Flying to Mike Patey and taking one of his nicest aircraft home must be a fun thing to do.
Love to see it!
Tell Quinn we should set up a STOL Drag on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Hello there👋, how are you?hope you’re having a good day?GOD BLESS you!!!❤️❤️
Ryan got hooked up! Would Love to have a Mike Patey airplane! Blue sky's and happy flying!
Just think about it. Everytime you land at a new airport all the people around would gather around the plane awaiting Mike or Mark to step out. Then you get to deplane and ruin their day. LOL.
Good show!
That’s awesome.
Fantastic to see Ryan in a Carbon Cub. I'm sure he will have many hours of enjoyment flying that one. Congratulations on the acquisition.
Ryan’s laugh is awesome 😂
Quinn is the coolest cat in the world! No better speaker for bush flying!
Sweet Swayy shirt @trentpalmer! Started that company back in college, glad to see a part of it still living on. Hope to get it going again someday!
P.s. sick birds!
So you're the guy that interrupted our HALO game sitting Alert and having to scramble.....:) Beautiful Carbon Cub.
Nice addition to the squadron Trent!
SO cool. I miss tail wheel flying, my flexwing is trike. Boohiss.
Hell yes you knows it going to be a good day when Trent post a video. Now on to the video !! Thanks for all you do for us brother. God Bless.
Bobby's Solar Homestead is a really cool name. Ive been living 100% solar pv power for the past five years and couldn't be happier. Cheers
@@anthonyrstrawbridge That ROCKS. I post videos on my solar. I am running 90% of my home 120 volt loads off-grid 24/7. I live in Charleston South Carolina. So we need AC 24/7. In the day I run 2 Ac's for free from the sun. At night after about 9 pm we go back on grid for the AC. The rest stays off-grid. We live in the woods so it's the best I can do for now. Worked in the renewable energy field for the beater part of 20 years. Was 100% off-grid for 10 years. All DC power loads. Them where the good old days LOL.
And i thought I was the only one who's buying a plane I've never flown, glad to know there are other nutters like me across the pond!
Did the same thing myself ..without a pilots license either
Beautiful wine red on that plane! Safe flying gents 💪🏼🙏🏼
An adventurous time ahead 👍🏻
Well done guys 👍💪👌
Sweet bird... Good job on the video!
Keeping the soul patch alive. 😃
Going to check out Square space!
I figured the fires where causing the lack of videos. Glad to see the Cub stayed in the 'family'. Hope the everyone is doing well. Prayers for everyone in the way of the fires. A friends cabin is a mile or so from a fire line in Washington state. Take care - be safe Spin
Well a Carbon Cub's no Ercoupe , but I'll bet he'll be happy with it !!!
The flying Cowboys are always fun to watch. It would be nice to see his first flight in the Cub.
thanks trent you make awesome videos
I love your honestly about not loving bumps. Feel like most agree on this fact.
RIGHT ON !
Great video!
Love these videos
Now there's an opportunity to go from 'Start -2- Finish' with the new Cub owner getting his tail wheel endorsement. Break out the Go-Pros and let's charge some batteries.
BANGER!!
I dig the new intro!
Trent’s ad transitions are legendary
Hello there👋, how are you?hope you’re having a good day?GOD BLESS you!!!❤️❤️
Love the intro!
that would be so much fun to live back in that area again.
Beautiful plane :)
Very jealous... Enjoy the new realm :)
oh man the smoking section of the airplane, so glad that went away. Puf monsters!
Shortest time on the flight line? The time between yelling "Clear!" and hitting starter. That was a bummer buy gas for two planes and not getting to PIC either
Great video! Congrats Ryan on becoming a TW owner! Where did you all eat in Elko? That's my old hometown. I worked 20 years at that firehouse at the approach end of 24 you can see when Kevin is on short final.
I’m really glad I’m not the only one that prefers to fly low and doesn’t like the bumps! Lol after 5000ft AGL I can really feel that fear of heights kicking in 🤣
You’ll find the higher you go, the smoother the air will be. There will actually be less bumps
@@the_dirtyrice732 thanks a ton! I just finished my instrument in SLC and we had to fly high to meet the MEAS which was smoother but still freaked me out a little 🤣
I see you don’t like turbulence and I’m guessing you have plenty of flying hours. Glad I’m not alone Trent lol. Thank you for awesome videos.
Right on 👍
I can remember smoking sections on commercial flights. Dang, that was another life ago.
Is there going to be enough space for everyone on the sand bars and Mesa’s you guys fly to👍👍
Great color on that CC. New build or just clearing some space for the next “project” ?
What are we doing with the intro(s)? LOL Keep up the great work!
I used to smoke when solo in a C152 while training, It was kinda of a reward for me, Some of the instructors would smoke, some would say no :) Times have certainly changed
Someone get that man a Best Tug!
