  • In this video we take the Motorhome project to Copart Sandwich facility and enter it into one of the salvage auctions. We film as much as possible of the process and follow the actual auction a week later.
Thanks to all the staff at Copart for there help and allowing us to film the process of entering a vehicle into one of the Copart auctions.
As Rob mentions in both this and a previous video we don't think the Motorhome is good enough to Retail or sell to a subscriber so have decided to sell it back into the trade via the auction.
Just to clarify we are in no way sponsored by Copart and have not received any payment or fee for making this video. We simply asked that if we entered the Fiat into a Copart auction, could we film the final part of the Motorhome series to complete the story and kindly Copart agreed.
Working at our fully equipped workshop in Kent we carry out tasks including Panel beating, Body work, Mig Welding, Sheet metal Spot Welding, Fabrication, Chassis Repairs, Sand Blasting, Engine and Mechanical repairs, Reconditioning, Restoration and Structural repairs on the Celette Jig Dozer frame machine.
We do hope you enjoy this video and Check out our other videos on all kinds of vehicles including Barn finds, Quick flips, First wash, Repairs, Salvage, Restorations, Will it run, Accident damaged, Cat S, Cat N, Cat X Copart Auction bargains, Non Runner and anything else that arrives at the #Salvagerebuildsuk workshop. #RobandChris
We do receive quite a few questions regarding tools and equipment that we use for various jobs. Unfortunately there is too many to list but some of the brands we use include Snap-on, Blue-point, Makita, Sealey, Clark, Esab and Sykes-Pickavant.
If you are interested in a specific tool, please put your question in the comments section of the relevant video.

I bought the Motorhome from Copart! I had no idea it was famous till a guy came to my workshop and recognised it. It’s been great watching the work being done on it and so pleased with it. One thing I will say is you guys are lucky you didn’t have to brake suddenly when driving it to Copart as the front to rear brake pipe is really bad. Will be watching from now on great work guys.

Love how you guys are still keeping it real. Showing all the elements of how it works and running through the numbers. It’s a shame more are not as honest and transparent as you are. It’s refreshing to see your still excited about doing these jobs and your never asking for massive rewards or returns. £2500 return on this is brilliant for the effort you’ve both put in. You both have a business to run and bills to pay like the rest of us. Pleased for you both. On to the next project can’t wait.

Your honesty and integrity is something you should be proud of. You weren’t happy to retail it because it didn’t meet your standards. Putting it through auction was also a risk with a £5k reserve. It could very easily been sold at a loss to you. Thankfully you’ve come out with a decent profit. Excellent video as always. 👍

Thoroughly enjoyed the whole motor home series, thank you for putting all the time in to it as well which often goes forgotten about in the assumed ‘value/cost’ other make, content takes time and effort to put together which costs too. The explanation of the maths at the end was spot on, without people able to go on foreign holidays it has skyrocketed all staycation options including motor homes. All told this was a cracking mini series.

Most of us here are not in the trade, the comments about leaving something for the next man (or woman, it is 2020 after all) is spot on. All of us who buy a vehicle off someone "in the trade" need to remember that everyone is making a living. When you buy a car, bike, motorhome or whatever look the trader in the eye, talk to them. Yes make a cheeky bid but remember they don't have to sell to you and they, just like you, have to make a living. Keep it up Rob and Chris, this was great and the guys at Copart (never heard of them beofre stumbiling upon you) treated you right.

Glad to see the risk paid off for you, and it was nice of Copart to let you film in there and the process so thanks to them. I was thinking back to our days buying machines from other trade dealers. There was a couple about we talked to a few times, I'd ask are they making a good profit. As I'd figured out if they were their wasn't anything on the bone for us, at what they wanted to sell for.
They were about 300 from full retail and need to spend a 1000 to get it right before thinking profit, if we could of ever found the mug to pay the price we'd need out of it .
There's a saying where there's one mug there's always another, some days we weren't money ahead with a no sale. But atleast we weren't the first mug in the que either, buying something we couldn't get even a small profit out of and loosing. Thanks for the video,Take care guys

I have owned four Campervans and paid £10k from a private car dealer 6 yrs ago for a Peugeot Compass Advantgarde 2003 excellent condition 80k miles. I bought it in December always good to buy in winter ! It is probably still worth around that price now. I saw a similar one 5 months ago for £9k low mileage 2004 I should have bought it as worth £15k in these mad staycation times.
