Your enthusiasm is infectious Rob. How can anyone with a soul not love a camper van. With the lack of holidays abroad this year again I would imagine this will fetch a good price this year. Just showing my 2 girls and they said it's well cool.

Rob , I watch your videos because your joy pours out of the screen , you 2 are lovely blokes and you do a fine job , but your enthusiasm is what sells the channel to me 👍
These Talbots have survived so well. There’s hardly any vans left but you can go to a camp site at summer and see at least a dozen Talbot Express vans there. They’re everywhere. They look really good and you’ve made this one look a great buy for someone.
Yesssss now were talking, really nice camper, with a good shell for the age of it, would be just a bit worried about the electrics on it with the age, e.g leisure batteries, fuses, and so on, i know yourself and chris would have checked all that cant get over how well the inside is for a 27 year old camper and the bodywork is so clean with just surface rust cant wait to see more on the project
Looks like a decent buy. I had a similar model Talbot Express ‘Rhapsody’ by Auto Sleepers. It was a 1990 H reg 2.5 diesel and was a solid motor home.we had holidays to Italy, France, Wales and Scotland and loved it. We only sold it because we were both working full time and it wasn’t being used much. That reg plate L154 HVN looks like Lisa Heaven.
I'm a 60 year old ( female ) petrol head and I love watching you revamp these MH/CVs as we live in ours. I love the skills you all have and the fact that a little bit of rust doesn't phase you at all. watching with interest.
Great to see your enthusiasm for this Talbot. It will be good to see you get it fixed up and fly through its MOT. It will be great for you and Claire to get a few days use out of it, but you may not want to let it go. Looking forward to seeing the next part when Chris and you work your magic.
Look forward to the next episode. A camper van that size is so much better than a small one with a pop up roof, yet still easy to find a parking space for. A conversion of a Peugeot Boxer to a camper was the most enjoyable DIY project I ever did. Hope you and Claire get a good time away in it, but the ladies always want a bigger van with more features.
All ready are. My brother has just spent a month trying to buy a motor home. Finally got one, now has to wait two weeks for the dealer to prep it because they are so busy.
I brought a van about 4 years ago as a project and converted It into a campervan, so me and my son can go away on trips. Long story short, two after I purchased I ended up moving into it. Working and travelling the last two years have been epic, even through this pandemic. For anyone thinking about getting a motor home or campervan I highly recommend it. Even if it's to get away for a weekend here and there.
Puts my MOT failure today on 2 front tyres into perspective! I was a bit suspect when I saw the outside but it has definitely been looked after on the inside and quite a good design as well. Love your enthusiasm for motorhomes. Great stuff!
I sold mine last year. Nice find, this one isn't too rotten. Repairing the front arches and scuttle panel is a nightmare though! The exhaust manifold leak makes it really down on power and is absolutely worth fixing. Usually its because the manifold is rusted away. Sometimes you can get it resurfaced.
From Rob if anyone missed it...(about the situation) "I must have forgot to mention it someone else was there who was viewing after me but got rude and said he was having it and told me to go home although the lady told him via text message I was coming First 👍"

I have dealt and represented different Motor home brands at Various Motor shows. Auto-sleeper is one of the best quality made campers in the UK. . You have done well .
These older AutoSleepers models were nice conversions and well built with good quality materials. I had one with the same layout on a Mk 6 Transit and loved it. You're right, they are great fun. Park up, plug in and get the kettle on while watching caravanners faff about for ages setting up :)
As an ex resident of Cornwall, I can recommend Cambrose caravan and camping site near Redruth to try out the camper van. I think I'm going to sell my caravan and buy a Camper. You've got me all excited.

Absolutely brilliant content for the channel Rob! Even the cleaning up of this motorhome will be worth watching! Nice, I dig your old farmer backhand inside wheel grab at 6:15. Reminds me of my dad. You know it is nearly impossible to reverse the direction of your turn while you are doing that.
What a great little van, and really well equipped for it's age and size. Hot and cold water, plus a shower, and it's obvious it's been well cared for, because if those old Talbot vans weren't looked after, they just disintegrated.

Love it mate! The main issues with Talbots is rust, but seems like you've got a good one there (and you guys will be on top of the remaining bits). I must admit, I may have been one of the subscribers that has mentioned you boys getting another camper van. Not dissapointed 👌🏻
I've got the same van Rob but its a 1993 Talbot express symphony. Put a new sill on from coastal motorhomes, sorted light problems out and other bits of welding and now she's motd with no advisories. I paid £700 for her😁. Good little motorhomes and run for ever its my second one. PS most of the electrical problems on these are down to corroded brittle wires or bad earths. Also my dim lights turned out to be just bad bulbs. Cheers Andy

If it’s any consolation, I’m excited as you are.
That's definitely a keeper I'm actually surprised it's in such good condition for the age, my 10plate honda has more rust underneath 😂, I'm definitely looking forward to the results and would be cool with some nice upgrades, you should treat it to a good service would be good to watch every detail with this one, definitely don't rush it lol 👍👍👍
Looks excellent! We have an identical model on a J reg and they’re fantastic vans treated right, great to see you’re taking on the project.
I love this, miss my camper so much, but have realised will never be able to afford another, but maybe when you have finished playing ? enjoy !
Love it mate! The main issues with Talbots is rust, but seems like you've got a good one there (and you guys will be on top of the remaining bits). I must admit, I may have been one of the subscribers that has mentioned you boys getting another camper van. Not dissapointed 👌🏻
👌👍
I've got the same van Rob but its a 1993 Talbot express symphony. Put a new sill on from coastal motorhomes, sorted light problems out and other bits of welding and now she's motd with no advisories. I paid £700 for her😁. Good little motorhomes and run for ever its my second one. PS most of the electrical problems on these are down to corroded brittle wires or bad earths. Also my dim lights turned out to be just bad bulbs. Cheers Andy
