How to Solve ASUS Notebook Black Screen after BIOS Update? | ASUS SUPPORT

- During the BIOS update process, it is important to let the system successfully complete the BIOS update before shutting down.
Manually shutting down the computer while the BIOS is updating may cause the computer failing to power on or will boot to a black screen. If your laptop powers on (power LED indicator is on) and boots to a black screen after the BIOS update, please try the steps to see if the issue can be resolved.
If you encounter other troubles with the laptop cannot power on and shows a black screen, please refer the below FAQ.

Such a weird bug, one day about a two months ago my FX53VD just up and starts getting stuck on the asus screen, no biggie. I get windows to update and restart (just kind of happened eventually) at this point my keyboard is backlit, and noticeably responsive. Being that my warranty is void and all that, I take it apart to pull the CMOS Battery on the BACK of the motherboard (pain in the ass). Have rebuilt this about 10 times the last two days and the only progress was when I put in connected a fresh CMOS battery. ""Progress" being, hdd light is responsive to keyboard inputs(lightbulb and airplanemode indicators are on and capslock is on off boot.), and when hard restarting the keyboard lights up for a second. I would say the boards done but its reading the drives fine, and you can see a very dim light when powering on, so LCD is probably okay. I'm to attempt to manually flash he bios(If i can find the firmware) as well as swap out the display connection coord. If it works ill bring word!

May I ask if you are talking about rebooting after updating the BIOS?
If so, according to different devices and different BIOS versions, the time consumed for each person is different, but basically, restarting after a BIOS update will take more time than general booting.

Technically, we can't open laptop to disconnect battery by ourselves because of warranty issue. So I will suggest to let laptop drain by itself. You could check power indicatior will go out to make sure it's really no power , than plug AC in again to boot it on.
Does not work for BIOS updates on the FA707XI laptops after updating to BIOS 307, now trying to update to 308 or downgrading to an earlier one no longer works, just a black screen all the time unless you hard reset and never try to update the bios again, really needs fixing.

My asus tuf a15 keeps entering the ez flash 3 utility when I turn it on, telling me to update bios. I prefer not to, is there anyway I can stop my laptop from doing this everytime I turn it on? I could exit bios each time it happens but its annoying

It seems that the BIOS file is downloaded through windows update. If the BIOS file is uploaded to windows update, it means the version is important, so I suggest update the BIOS.

If the light flashes for five seconds and turns into a solid light, this means that the BIOS FlashBack™ is not operating properly.
1. Is the format of the USB flash drive FAT16 / 32 and the BIOS file and name of the motherboard model correct?
2. Re-execute the USB BIOS FlashBack™ operation steps. If the problem still persists, please contact your local ASUS service center.

If "a black screen occurs after bios update" (0:10), how, at 0:48 will the post screen occur? You showed one power on sequence leads to black screen and the second power on sequence leads to post.

My ASUS PRIME Z690M-PLUS D4 shows following message.
"BIOS is updating LED firmware. Do not shut down or reset the system to prevent system bootup failure." The screen turns off after about 5 seconds, and the power does not turn off even after 9 hours. and turned off the power.

Hi, based on your issue, it's possible that the BIOS update process got stuck or encountered an issue.
You can try unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and wait for about 10-15 minutes. Then, plug it back in and try turning on the system again. This may help to reset the motherboard and allow it to boot properly.

Yeah no nothing works on this asus a15 fa507r I have a white light but it won't turn on, it died when I was setting it up in my car on my lunch break. Do you have to wait forever for it to power on or something after it dies?

Is it stuck in BIOS or black screen? If it is in BIOS, Please set default and save. If it is black screen , Please try to press power key over 40 seconds to restart again, and press F2 to enter BIOS than set default and save.
