My audiologist prescribed me hearing aids and I just got them, she gave me oticon intent 2 minirite, I have mild low level hearing loss, is this ok for me or should I try and get the intent 1? I’ve only had them for yesterday and today and so far they’re amazing! I CAN FINALLY HEAR STUFF PROPERLY
I would definitely say to live with the intent 2 for now and see if they are checking all your boxes. If so, congrats! The highest tech level is not always necessary for every person. i have a pretty calm lifestyle, i occasionally go to outings/conserts but for the most part i stay at home (with the occasional appointment/exe), witch tech level would you recommend for my lifestyle?
The recommended tech level isn't necessarily determined by one's lifestyle, but it can definitely be a factor. The heightened tech level is going to perform better in noise (restaurants, public settings, background noise, etc). So, if that is a big part of your hearing loss, getting a higher tech level would be to your benefit. I would certainly talk to your audiologist about this as well! This is an RIC or RITE style device, the main portion of the hearing does sit behind the ear, but it is not truly a BTE device. Thanks for watching and be sure to subscribe for more! ruclips.net/user/Ziphearing?sub_confirmaton=1
