- Have you seen this truck work? I finally got around to making a video explaining everything about the Transformer Truck. Excited to show everyone the Transformer truck and how it works! This truck took us 90 long days to build. Shoot us a comment on what make/model we should try to build next!

When the truck looks better and more functional than the factory you know your doing something right
The fender tool boxes, and bumper slide out is unbelievable incredible.
This could work for construction, roadside assistance, fire and rescue, police road crews. Ingenious.
You should be making these for truck box company and a factory option.
this build is 100X more custom and creative than any mile high rig on forces.

I hope you guys get the opportunity to license out your patent with maybe one of the big 3 automakers (GM, Ford, Chrysler), or all of them for that matter. You guys just designed and engineered something I believe will one day become a standard option in trucks and you deserve the big bucks for that! Such a simple concept and incredibly well executed. Cracking a beer for yah now..Cheers Fellas!
First it would have to be their idea, all they did wa copy from a tv show, I'm wonder why they didn't give credit to the guys who they copy from

This is the most amazing truck build I have ever seen! I had some ideas for tool storage in the bedsides while it still looking factory but this is 100X better than anything I imagined!!
This would make an awesome shooting truck for traveling to different places and different states.

@@davidgould4870 nor is that rear bumper secure enough to bump..
Taillights just have to be fixed while the vehicle is in motion. Otherwise roll off trucks would be illegal
@@vsmgarage no roll off ive seen has tail lights mounted to the movable part, usualy the frame right below. the clearance lights are another story those can be mounted everywhere
@@radishtrader5591 well the five axle roll off trailers we have the lights are attached to a bar that moves with the rails. So I believe as long as the lights are attached to a fixed surface while the vehicle is on the road there should not be an issue. Also tow trucks put portable taillights on vehicles while towing
Straight pipes are illegal too...only if you get caught though
Ford should have this as an option for there trucks 🔩🔧

@@brandonm6052 laws wnot allow the tail ;ights to be moving the lights will have to be muonted stationary THEN it will pass safety laws

Vehicle lighting cannot be mounted to moving parts of the vehicle unless they are secondary lights like the 3rd brake light on suv tailgates. The tail lights will have to mount onto the truck in such a way they cannot be moved along with body panels or doors unless they are not the main set of lighting.

Just stumbled across this whole going down the RUclips truck rabbit hole. Man that truck is amazing!!! If I could “commission and actually pay” you to do the same thing to my truck I would. I hope you have pursued and the OE had made you a ridiculous money-aire
Also I think the real deal thing here is that your wife, who is a smaller framed and height woman, no offense to you or her...was easily able to lift the bed sides. Pretty awesome man

The single best thing I've ever seen in a truck. My only question is, do the sides lock that activate the panels from releasing? This is incredible, I need this now.

You planning on doing a bolt on bed or fitting shop. In the UK we have to buy old work vans nothing like this.

I’m glad that y’all did this build I have been wanting to do this to my truck ever since DC shoes sponsored the ultimate motocross truck build. Just don’t have access to all the fabrication tools to do it and wasn’t sure how else to go about it. But now I know how I want to build mine. Only difference mine is a 2009 Chevy Silverado 2500hd ltz with 6.6 duramax.
I so wish you guys would put together a diy builders kit. I know it’s way easier said than done but as a mobile mechanic myself I would totally rock this setup on my 99 super duty for side jobs

Daaaamn that’s sick! I remember seeing Doug’s first 6 door Ford driving around Bakersfield when I was at Chuey’s. Now everyone is building them. I’m thinking that was the first ever built at the time.
Only one upgrade that can totally be done, motorized panels via remote control push a button on your remote the fender opend for the tool box. Or bumper slides out . Closes via remote control also.
Locks and unlocks with the cab, is also hooked up to the alarm system.
100 times better then a big silver or black over the rails tool box it takes 3 min or less to break into.
And this is tottaly stealth. No one would know it there, options might be a tailgate work table that holds a compound miter saw with long board supports. Folds up and fits in the bumper trunk. Outlets for 120 volts to run power tools. Small propane generator spot. For off grid jobs. That uses gas grill tanks.
Or even a cook out special with grill and fridge for football games and tailgate party.

I dont typically work anymore, now I'm a project manager and superintendent. I would have ran one of these for sure.
Now my custom work vehicle is my 45' class A luxury RV with 2 slide outs that's been converted to an office in addition to sleeping. Nice having an office on site that isn't a fucking shitty trailer from the 70's that smells like cheap paneling and ball sacks. Hell every Friday morning for the meeting I cook breakfast for my subs. I really appreciate a perfectly customized for the job vehicle. Good show sir

I built compartments in the dead spaces in my current box but this design would allow me to move my onboard compressors so they are out of the winter elements being up in Canada.
I can see someone spending decent money on this, just genius.
