Smart idea on using that square piece to hold the round-rod straight while you welded it in place. Just another reason why I find a lot of value in your videos. Thanks Justin.
This is the first video of yours I ever watched...and probably the 3rd or 4th time I've come back and watched it all over again. Love the design and execution, as well as the pro-quality editing.
Wow, this is truly amazing. This is the best example of “MADE IN AMERICA!” This blew my mind how you got this done! Now I want to go build something badass.
A very well done and narrated instructional video! Wished I would have seen something like this way back in 2003 when I had my shop. Makes me want to get another shop and build something.
I've watched this 4 or 5 times over the last year. All I can say is well done. And this coming from a guy who literally modifies everything. So nice to have something custom built to your needs And I mean no disrespect but that's probably the least amount of tools I've even seen on a work truck.
I am still attempting to figure out why anyone would click that they did not like this. What a great idea. Very inspiring. Not easy to do but then again, if it were easy anyone would do it. Guess the ones that want everything handed to them on a platter were the ones that clicked the do not like button. lol Thanks for taking the time to share this. Peace, Reese
That is exactly why I am scrolled down this far looking the comments over. There are 12500 thumbs and 2% are negative. For What? Welding purists? Physicists who realize it will need to bolt down? Safety guys wanting to see the box bolt into the bed of the pickup? Where in this video is there actually a real need for correction? extension? or observation of an omission?
Two things: FIRST: in my last comment I called you Drew, sorry about that JUSTIN. SECOND: Heres is another example of your amazing designs and Skill of fabrication. What a Great Idea for a toolbox. I know many workers like me would have loved to have had an organized toolbox like that one. Luckily I'm retired, been there, done that. but still to see what you do is really refreshing compared to the youth out there today. BRAVO Justin. Great Work and as always great video work too.
I am so glad I found this channel. So relaxing watching and listening to you. I am a Sheetmetal Worker, by trade. Your metal work skills are refreshing. I love people that just get off their ass and get stuff done.
And I thought fastening my socket holders from Hazard Fraught was a clever idea... this is inspiring. I like the Frank Howarth style of narrating and stop motion presentation too.
I love what you did I know exactly what you mean when running from house to the work sight on the property and not having the tool you needed and being so unorganized
12:51 is the moment where I spend usually a lot of time just looking at what I have just done :D and then the other day too, and some random day again. Not that much time anymore but still a minute or two just to see it all again.... Usually people ask me where I get the time for all that. It is simple. If you work with your tools you have to have some days designated just for tools. Organize them, build something for your work area and stuff like that. It pays off. And it makes you feel good too.
Great work. I set up my roll around tray is a similar way and then one of my daughters helped me make flat trays for my wrenches in my tool box drawers. We made those with Masonite and dowel rods and they have lasted for over 25 years of use and are a bit smaller than the drawers in my new 51" roll around combo. I just made some boxes to go around the wrench tray to hold even more wrenches of different types. The dowels hold 3 wrenches of each size that I have, 12 pt., 6 pt., and ratchet style. We went back later and made the same setup for Metric sizes in another drawer. It was fun getting my daughter interested in the work. jack
I love how this video has gotten 135 thumbs down. I'm guessing its because they're not the fabricating type and have to pay someone to do the work for them and are jealous. Loved watching your video. Fantastic project man and great break down on the steps you took to get to your end results. I'm sure once you've used it in the field a while, you'll think of other ways to tweak it and make it even more convenient.
Good job but no matter how many tools you carry with you out to the field, you'll get out there and realize you forgot your coffee cup on the bench and have to go back to the shop anyway then discover when you go to unlock the door of the shop you forgot the keys to the shop in the tractor back out in the field so you go back to the field to get the keys for the shop from the tractor and realize you locked the door for the tractor with the keys inside so you go to the tractor dealership to get a new key cut and when you come out from the dealership you realize you parked in a no parking zone so you cab it to the police impound lot to get your truck which they towed away and you realize you don't have your insurance and registration in the truck so you cab it back to your house to get the documentation you need to free your truck from the clutches of the authorities only to catch your wife cheating on you with your black neighbor, Bubba, which is great because now Bubba can give you a ride back to the police impound lot instead of paying a taxi cab and since Bubba feels guilty about the cheating thing with your wife he buys you lunch so my advice to you is to keep up the good work as it could somehow turn in to a free lunch or does that only happen to me???
Okay, so i'm 1:20 into the video, and this guy has already earned my subscription. The little short introduction was pretty funny, considering I always do the same thing. And his actual into that features several videos was pretty cool and straight to the point. So, subscription earned!
I have always hated these type tool boxes just for this reason. (seemed to fill up in a unusable fashion) you have a nice idea and your video was very good, thank you for taking the time to do it... Good job!
I built one similar to this and honestly sockets and wrenches stay put for the most part but you do hit the occasional pot hole and wrenches come off the hook never any sockets though
Bloody impressive. Have a look at theses tools Metrinch 71 Piece Socket & Spanner Tools Set 1/4" 3/8" 1/2" Drive. Equivalent to a 174 piece conventional set. A nut or a bolt has flats and corners. The corners are more easily damaged and do not offer the optimum grip for a tool. In developing the Metrinch tool system Jozef Ruzicka had the aim to design sockets and spanners, which would not only have longer effective life, but would also ensure minimal damage to the fasteners on which they are used. I think they are made in the USA, but I could be wrong. All the best. Great JOB. Ken Clements Sydney Australia
Stumbled across this when looking for some info on tool boxes and ended up watching the entire video, even though I will probably never do a project like this (I have no metal working tools). Great video, nice project and workmanship. Very clear, concise and articulate.
Great vid on how to organize your tools and equipment! My pop's farm pick up was organized but never this well. Two enduring lessons I learned were that every tool is suppose to be put back in its place and never lay a tool on the running board or bed rail. Your mods really make it easy to find what you need!
You have inspired me!!! I won’t actually do this but I will dream about it and make plans to do this. Eventually I’ll move on to something else but for now I will sleep peacefully
Just watched this video. Your attention to detail is unbelievable.I see you have over 2 million views. Looking forward watching some of your past videos. : )
I really enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing your talent as well. A couple of times I believe that you thought outside the box to fix a problem in the box. Great job young man!! Rodney
I don't have a truck or a toolbox and yet I just watched this 13 min video about it just because it was so well done. Good job dude.
Haha same here. No truck, no toolbox and no tools but this was so well done. Including the video itself. Amazing work!!!
Solid and well done!
Dude, you should get a truck with a toolbox.
Smart idea on using that square piece to hold the round-rod straight while you welded it in place.
Just another reason why I find a lot of value in your videos.
Thanks Justin.
Seriously... I don’t even get tired of re-watching these videos. 👍🏽
DUDE. Thanks for the video that was so well done. 1.Problem. 2. Easy step solutions without the long winded explanation of things. Very well done.
This is the first video of yours I ever watched...and probably the 3rd or 4th time I've come back and watched it all over again. Love the design and execution, as well as the pro-quality editing.
Think I’ve watched this 5 times myself over the past couple years lol
Same

You have a great, mechanical mind. I'm jealous of all the tools in your shop, but the real skill is knowing how to use them to create.
my ocd is so thankfull right now
Mine too :)
I love watching quality work and people who take care of their tools and organizing them. Great job 🇺🇸
I've watched this 4 or 5 times over the last year. All I can say is well done. And this coming from a guy who literally modifies everything. So nice to have something custom built to your needs

Mo Pieces because they're lazy POS w nothing else to contribute
There are no shortage of dumb, useless A-holes in life. The video production alone was worth a thumbs up.

Erik Dale They live in their parents basement & will never know what real work is.
because if your laying under something your going to want a case or a bag that crawling under over and over is a pain in the ass
buddy, this is the best thing I've seen since they came out with toolboxes.
Hell of a job! I LOLed at the shot of you in the tool box.
Great video. Love your dry humor.
same
You don't need to be funny. You need to be genuine and brother, you knock that out of the park. I wish I lived closer so I could have a shop buddy

Man what an excellent job organizing. Blown away how well this came together.
You, my man, are a total bad ass. Every man should have a shop like that. Great video...motivated me to go out to my garage and build something.
Amazing build ! Custom touch and feels good . Money can’t buy this kind of feeling of a job well done
Wow! This is the coolest tool organizer I have ever seen.
Nice work. Farm boys have the most creative minds and attitude.
Everyone else is just scared to work outside their comfort zones.
“Just give it a couple calculated sacks with a hammer” I love it man, great build😂
I fucking love this guy his creativity and attention to detail is therapy for someone with OCD.
What a great project, and video. Very relaxing to watch!
AMEN
R.P. and D.C., you both have a similar video style... cool to watch
I am so glad I found this channel. So relaxing watching and listening to you. I am a Sheetmetal Worker, by trade. Your metal work skills are refreshing. I love people that just get off their ass and get stuff done.
Fantastic clean job
Well done sir
Excellent. Very well thought out. Bet you could market this. Very good video.
And I thought fastening my socket holders from Hazard Fraught was a clever idea... this is inspiring. I like the Frank Howarth style of narrating and stop motion presentation too.
seanautube I'm sensing another subscriber to both Frank and AvE. :)
AVe reference ftw!

Very nice work ! I really need to learn welding it will open endless possibilities :).

Oddly specific...
Moral of the story......don't drink coffee.
Ha!! Nice to know I'M not the only one that has day's like that!! :) LOL!!
That's the kind of story you can't make up...
Lololololololololol
A lot of work, a great finished product. Congrats and thanks for showing your work.
Major kool job my friend - well thought up and engineered - and - lol - don't worry about your aluminum welding skills anymore.
I think this is the first video of your's I watched. Been watching your stuff since.
awesome job on the box. awesome job on the video and awesome job on the editing. keep up the good work brotha
@ the 6 minute mark. You made a great wind chime!!!! But seriously. I love this video. Great work !
Amazing work there Mr. Wow!!!! It must be so heavy.

Pretty clean job. Tool organization is important. I've worked on farms for many years. Having what you need on site is important.
Great video, great editing. *Congrats!* -- Saludos!
@Marlene Maestos ي
Nice set up. Truck to box to organization. Sweet rig. Doing it right, that’s for sure.
Freakin awesome man! Really really cool! I would pay for something like this for sure!
I am curious if when driving around especially on those farm roads if your sockets bounce out of the holds.
I built one similar to this and honestly sockets and wrenches stay put for the most part but you do hit the occasional pot hole and wrenches come off the hook never any sockets though

Amazing work! Easily accessible tools. I bet a similar "accessory kit" would cost 500 ~ 800 bucks
You did a great job building the tool box tool organizers, you will love them and you can tell at a glance if you are missing a tool !!!
Nice work man, cool project, cool results. Good editing, had a good pace, didnt feel like we missed anything...
love the trays. great work. wish the tool box makers would take notice.
After a few drives over rough terrain, did everything stay put?
Recommend Velcro straps. Anchor each end and cross them over the tools.
Rainfall Projects maybe you can use magnets to keep things in place?
Nice build, thanks for posting.
Put a rubber coating on the rods to help with durability while making it easier to grip the tools
Devin Reimers Thats what Plasti Dip was originally used for...Before ricers got ahold of it
a few powerfull magnets and ur set :)
Sir you did a awesome job on this tool organizer for your truck tool box
Will they stay in place when going over bumps?
first bumps and all tools mixing in the box.. JEJE
Bravo! Great artistic way of securing your hand tools. Ingenious... great video
I always enjoy your videos. And I'm posting this during the intro... If only you'd post more often.
Great video! This is the ONLY video specifically like this on RUclips! Thanks for sharing!
Ha! Closing the the lid on this project. You sly devil.
Nice set up. I'm a 4etired carpenter. Love an organized tool box.
Thank you for breaking my addiction to Casey Neistat's channel.
Damn dude this was a sweet diy project, useful and satisfying to watch! Thanks for the ideas!
Love these videos and your production quality is great. Do the trays, or tools, rattle a lot when you drive around?
As a shop-rat myself, very informative. Learned a few fabrication tricks. Thanks!!
i like it very much... nice work. try to organize my tool mess the same way... keep going.. by the way, wish you a merry christmas...
Lysergzwerg çcvvv
this project was amazing to watch, you are very handy and now very organized
And when you feel like cleaning your tools you pop the lid off and go through a car wash.
I know this video is a couple of yrs old. But very helpful to me. GREAT JOB. LOOKS FANTASTIC!!
One good bounce and that shit is going everywhere.........
Scott Garcia lmao and it’s a farm truck... fucker goes through farm fields that r bumpy
Always a skeptic...LOL
Lmfao 😂🤣😂
Let’s be real he’s going to be back to square one in a few weeks or like u said
🤣 wow such a vibe killer but true

Hows it working out? Stuff staying in place?
Depending on the material you could use magnets.
Or just a rod with rubber on it that is on a swivel of sorts... but hey regardless that is one awesome DIY project you did there Props to you!
Kevin Smith
you can use a big piece of sponge on top of them they will never make noise again
good video take care
thx
Rainfall Projects glue an old inner tube at the bottom. There easy to find on a farm and take care of the rattle.
Great job. Farmers I know can fix anything and you appear to be one of those.
Works good until you get some new tools 🤣 jokes aside looks super good man
I like this guy ha ha .. For this project ther are a ton of tools to build.good work good craft.
меня одного удивляет почему у него все пальцы и глаза на месте?
That’s Some good engineering u did , best work i ever seen on a toolbox
very clever idea and super clean job! If only I had the right tools to make myself a organizer!
Great job! You can't beat a well organised truck/van!
By far the best video on RUclips
You have inspired me!!! I won’t actually do this but I will dream about it and make plans to do this. Eventually I’ll move on to something else but for now I will sleep peacefully
Time is a luxury you can't waste on a farm. This is one efficient tool box.
Wow! So simple and so efficient! Nicely done!! 👍
Wow I won't to organise my tool today after seeing that lovely project of your. Great job 👍
Just watched this video. Your attention to detail is unbelievable.I see you have over 2 million views. Looking forward watching some of your past videos. : )
Man, I wish I had a garage like that. So much space. So many tools.
Great build and organization thanks! enjoyed watching.
Feet up, face down, throwing wrenches. Love it.
Awesome. I’ve been going to do something like that for years! Very well done!
Niiice! Makes me feel like a lazy slouch! I'm motivated now though. Thanks!
NICE, Better than any box ive ever seen!!.. BRAVO!!
Wonderful job, that's one heck of a set up you did an excellent job at organizing everything. I'm very impressed at the detail you put into this.
This project turned out awesome! Good work man!
I really enjoyed your video. Thank you for sharing your talent as well. A couple of times I believe that you thought outside the box to fix a problem in the box. Great job young man!! Rodney
Great idea and a good execution. Thanks for sharing.
Such a good idea thanks for posting! Man that plasma cutter rips
Justin, your RUclips vids and story-telling are great. keep it up.
You guys were right, great video. I just watched it 5 times in a row.
