@@DeBerti ya man also you are 1 of my favorite RUclipsrs and are living out my dream job so if you have any tips on how I can get there that would be amazing
Im glad that someone is finally doing this, for 35 years or so Ive been scratching my head knowing there was so much un-used space with vehicles, specially truck beds. I thought about a lot of designs but never had the tools to make it happen. Im always making minor mods to my vehicles stealing a bit of space for this or that. or designing a speaker-box partial cutout to "borrow" room of the poorly designed gaps in vehicle bodies. I hear "it wont fit anywhere" a lot, my reply has always been "watch me".
This has got to be one of the coolest things I've seen for a truck in a long time. I've always thought it would be cool to have compartments hidden but to build a production add on is huge! You have every right to be proud of this. Congratulations.
From a safety stand point you may want to look at relocating the spare tire release to the passenger side so that the driver is not next to the flow of traffic when changing out a tire. I like the placement, the extra storage and the simplicity of the design. I'd like one for my new Chevy TrailBoss.
Bravo gentlemen ! I had the side boxes idea over 30 years ago but I didn't have the money, expertise or shop to pull it off. I'm happy someone finally realized all of the empty spaces that can be utilized on a truck.
Love this kind of stuff! Can't wait until the transformer truck boxes are a package you can just order straight from you guys to bolt on and turn any regular bed F-250/350 into a hidden box bed work truck! If you guys did kits for 2000 F-250/350s and up I would love to figure out some kind of sales/distribution & installation partnership with you guys to bring this stuff to my home state. God bless from Florida the last bastion of freedom.
The manufacturers wish they had that patent, it's genius. Imagine having that with a deckd system in the bed. It's a rolling garage with every tool. Nice!
I’m so stoked for you and Dad I think this thing is going to takeoff big-time hopefully it’ll be your golden ticket to go racing The transformer truck at Sema was just genius hope you guys make a ton of money Keep inventing cool stuff and more videos wanna see you racing again give them hell congrats on the Patent pending
As a now retired wildland firefighter I can see many uses for this and the transformer truck. Talk to some local wildland firefighters and pick their brains as to what they can use in the field. I put a pull out bed platform in my F-150 so I can get to tools etc. and to sleep on during a deployment. Great job!
Nothing beats good old fashioned american ingenuity! Way to go guys, wish you all the success in the world on something every guy or gal will want as a useful and genius add on to pickup trucks! Go Transformers! Go USA! 🇺🇸

I can think of a million things to use this for as a gc/home builder. Would be nice to have a little deeper drawer even if it means not having a spare at all.
That's really cool. I was just saying to one of my customers to look up this install on Sunday. He has a huge box on his Fir F350 and was looking to get all the tools out of the way so he can use the rear window and bed again with the bed.
I would love to see this for the F150 as well. I would assume it wouldn't take too much adaptation to get that done. Any ideas for a locking mechanism? I feel that is the only thing missing in the design and would be great to see from you instead of trying to figure something out on the consumer side. Thanks for the video and the awesome stuff you guys are doing.
I love your dad, I would like to hear his inspiration from his dad possibly. I would like to share my story as a kid who now is a 48 yr man, when I was a child my father (deceased) had a fleet of vans that had all kinds of hidden drawers and containers to transport contraband, like guns, jewelry or drugs, and yes he was an outlaw, but one that was inventive and never got caught, because his visions of compartments was way ahead of the day. In that respect I tip my hat, because you guys are legit and it makes my heart good that you are making money from just the designs of you brilliance
Love that bumper box guys! That is way cool. I remember when you guys built that Transformer Truck. You fold everything up and it looks just like a regular truck but then you pop the fenders loose and you have a fully stocked service wagon. Great ideas all of them!!!!!! Keep up the great work.
Hey boss! Excited to see this coming to market! Just curious though, would it fit on the Ford Lightning? I can imagine quite an amazing worktruck with this kind of storage and utility added to a truck with access to so many standard outlets and enough power to run welders and other power tools. I'd love to see a Lightning with the full transformer setup from your original truck!
Super cool! Does it affect the bumpers ability to do what the bumper is supposed to do? Obviously tow points on the bumper are out but what about impact from a collison?
My thoughts exactly. Completely ruins the bumper's function as a bumper, turns bumper into a glorified drawer handle, and for what... a rather pointless little drawer.
Ford used to use shear bolts on the lower holes of the bumper mount so it would fold under in a rear impact. You’d have to find a way to replicate that.
How well does this hold up when you get rear ended (most common vehicle accident) and what kind of changes would you see with the stock bumper vs with this not to mention how well the drawer keeps items protected in such a case.
Probably about as well as a regular truck with a huge toolbox in the bed or a bed cover. Most people just toss stuff in them and lock it. They are using the crash and crumple zone space for storage space. Just like modding your car/truck you are using the safety and reliability % that manufactures have to design into their vehicles for longevity and warranty and various mandated vehicle laws. Get rear-ended in a regular car or truck and you will be replacing a lot of panels, brackets and 1 use only crash features like crumple pillars, foam and seemingly useless plastic parts. Guess where all those parts are on a stock truck.... Guess what you need to replace if you have these mods in a similar crash... Example. I built a rear cross shock tower bar to square up my rear end for track day fun. It worked perfectly. Few years later a lady hit my car. If it was stock all the damage would have remained on the left side. Since the aftermarket bar was there it sheared off all the bolts on the other tower as well and the lower welded part dented the bottom tower. It's all about give and take. I honestly don't think there is much you could do outside of making a tank that would keep all those mods square and 100% perfect after a crash. It's a I had all this awesome convenience in my truck for 5 years then got into an accident and had to replace it. One of those well that sucks but it was worth it mods.
Van lifers and off road Enthusiast would love that transformer truck! Have a large Lipo Battery source for off grid living on one side, Solor panel on the inside of the Part of the truck that you raised up. and a fold out kitchen for the other. And your bed is still left for a tent. Camp Anywhere!! Anyway just a thought...
I liked the idea of the extra storage, especially hidden and out of site. Unlikely to see to see a kit for my 3rd gen Ram long bed. I may need to start hacking and building my own transformer truck.
I can honestly see this as a dealer option on all F150's, 450s, whatever. What a cleaver design, no modification to the truck, bolts right ton, looks like it can be done in my garage! KUDOs to you, hope it takes off!
Hi guys, great idea, want one for my F150. But I ask hopefully one simple change. Can you move the spare tire connection under truck to passenger side? Thinking might be a dangerous situation being on traffic side if pulled off on shoulder. Just a thought. Keep up the genius ideas!
I also didn't like seeing how that's on the driver side, making it dangerous if you're on the shoulder of the road during an emergency..... Passenger side usage is definitely preferred!

I can appreciate the work these guys put into this stuff. My first impression is how many rattles after a few thousand potholes? Second, is how much structural integrity is lost at the rear bumper? The two corners of the rear bumper have no gussets to the frame, I would think the corners will fold more easily into the corners of the body. Although maybe they didn’t have any to begin with, most my past Ford & GM trucks had them. Great design & fab, I love all the stealth the compartments have.

It’s literally a bolt in part, inside the hitch area. How would that affect ANY crash test numbers that would be of concern? If nothing else, it adds metal…… please stop making things more complicated than they need to be!
Hey Brad! Awesome bumper concept. Has this bumper been crash tested? What happens to the contents if you were to be rear-ended? Where does the impact load go - to the frame or to the slides?
Great stuff, I use a pickup for work and organized storage is difficult. The problem I would have will your systems is that I live in the north east. We get snow. Road salt is a killer. I wash the under carriage of my truck after every snowstorm and I still get tons of rust. I could see salt/rust causing operating problems with your systems. Even if you use some stainless steel the salt creates rapid dissimilar metal corrosion. Terrific product. Keep up the great work.

I built one of those on a 1990 chevy in 1995. Not quite as nice, but fully hidden. The bumper was a perfect and intuitive place to do it. We had to find a decent suburban fuel tank to make the drawer box (perfect for the hidden drawer) and if you didn't know it was there, you never would even notice.

You guys are awesome. I’ve often thought that a heater tucked between the outer skin and inner skin of the box side. That way with a topper or tonneau cover you could have a heated space for tools or luggage.

Good lord that is the coolest truck ive seen. Im a landscaper so i appreciate extra storage and easy access. My f 250 & 350 needs done!
Nice job. Great innovation
This is awesome for all truck owners and a killer business. Like the guy that invented the toothe pick so simple but practical❤
Just love the you guy utilizing the free space in the truck. I would put it on a Toyota Tundra.
Just stumbles onto your Chanel. Am ordering a 2023 F350 as soon as I can order one. Would love to purchase on of these boxes too.
Do you expect to offer the sides that lift as well? Maybe as an exchange bed? I did subscribe. Thanks
drj Westfield Wisconsin how about an electric motor to let down the spare tire? PS when can we see you swamping the frame on your dad's 2023 GMC that you got at the auction? Love your videos keep up the good work.
OMG!!! Absolutley 100% genius! Have so many friends with trucks and need your inventions. :D
Bravo that's the best invention since chocolate chip cookies you guys are about to be billionaires I would definitely buy that truck from you guys
One of the coolest and most exciting truck inventions ever. I don't want one I need one.
Totally bad ass, from the military aspect to even a grocery getter.
You gentlemen have nailed it. This should be standard on every pickup sold
As a gas fitter, I could easily use this space for the less commonly used 1-1/4” and 1-1/2” piping and fittings. Although I’d have to ensure I could still use some airbags in the rear. Already squatting as it is.
I know this might not be as cool as what ya do. But what about a small closet behind back seat for when ya need to change after work into dress clothes? Love what ya do!
Nice! Why has it taken so long for anyone except you of course to utilize all that empty space on a Truck? Nicely done guys! Smart design!
I’d love the side tool boxes for my Ram 3500 dually. There is so much wasted space in the fenders.
Love the bumper box . I'd take out the foam and put hvac parts in it. For work
You guys are awesome.
I’ve often thought that a heater tucked between the outer skin and inner skin of the box side. That way with a topper or tonneau cover you could have a heated space for tools or luggage.
I just watched your video. All I can say is kick butt great job. Glad you came up with it I thought it a long time ago Same with the full size toolboxes underneath the quarter panels.. I thought that back in high school. I always thought it was wasted space. So again great job
What about along with the extending bumper, make the bed telescoping so the whole bed can be much longer for hauling...
Nice idea, but one thing to take note of is that in some states "hidden compartments" that are not from the factory are illegal.
So? 😆
Dude I think that's awesome and it is useful. I think out of everything the bumper is the best
Imagine going to US customs then they discover all the drawers and bed sides that flip up to reveal tool boxes 😂
AWSOME!!! Plus, you got a pretty cool Dad!
I could have used this while I had my remodeling business. Retired now. But, what a thoughtful design. Congratulations! Hope you sell thousands.
Y'all r gonna kill with this... Very sharp!! Congratulations on the patent! That's big news!!
Great job guys !! If you can imagine it, someone will make it. Build it and someone will buy it. If they can put a man on the moon & build the pyramids........anything is possible.
Ford should be writing you guys a check and give you innovative jobs in their company. Awesome stuff!
All cool ideas! They just have to be affordable!! This would be sick on a vintage truck from the 50-60s bad ass vintage work truck
Have an 03' Dodge 4x4 non dually.
Do you have a kit for me???
I would replace the whole box with your kit....not just the bumper!
This is something amazing that adds same day value to anyone period end of sentence. Many things built today add convenience and to a certain point that’s great but to add many types of value puts this on a total different platform.
Imagine doing an SUV. Like my Jeep Grand Cherokee… that would be sick. It’ll be perfect for overlanding.
Good to see West Coast Customs is still doing good 11 years later I remember the first tundra like this in 2011
What an absolutely fantastic idea !!!
When it takes off, I could really use this on my '95 OBS...
for all the ideas ive seen to make trucks more useful, this is the most inventive and awesome idea i have ever seen. both the bumper drawer and the fenders
Awesome idea! I saw another truck with two motorized arms tucked into each sdie of the bed that flips out toward the back, able to lift a motorcycle up into the truck bed with ease.
This is why people like you have imagination and make vehicle modifications amazing. Thanks
