@@NotchesSewing I just bought scrunchies WITH A SMALL BUILT IN ZIPPER for my middle school granddaughters, to put keys, money, cards in. They were a hit and I would sure like to make some using their school uniform material. Tutorial?
I am a newbie to sewing and I didn't understand the burrito method but I followed along and VOILA I had a scrunchie in a few minutes. My daughter was very impressed.
That’s just great! You literally saved yourself from wasting time making the tube way and threading elastic through a long channel and not a nice finish along the short seam. Good on ya! Please check out some of my other videos. Have a great day😊
Good day Angela!! Absolutely LOVE your sewing vids. You are so super talented! Is there a particular sewing machine please you would highly recommend? I have a wonderful, kind friend who lent me her sewing machine so I could sew masks. I been looking since January this year, but can't seem to find the one. I need a straight stitch one that's heavy duty and can sew fast. Thank you ever so kindly! Appreciate you. 😃 😊
Sorry I missed your comment. An industrial machine will always be the best if you want heavy duty. If you don’t have the room or budget for it, consider a semi industrial machine
Wonderful! Threading things is what I like least about sewing and I love how quickly this can be done. Please have a look at my video on making tube turners. That saves a lot of time too. Cheers!
I made 2 scrunchies from leftover fabric from a little girl's dress. It was such a good method and looks really professional especially if you use high quality fabric. Thanks!
Thank you for this simple and straight forward tutorial. I sewed 7 scrunchies in 30 minutes last night using your method. So sew easy and quick!!!! Will only sew scrunchies this way from now on!

This is "SEW" EASY!!!! I made 2 in less than 15 min. And that was just to figure out how to make them after watching your tutorial! My plan is to cut out and sew several scrunchies in Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas themed material. Then Give them to my granddaughters to sell to make my money for their class trip next Spring. Thank you so much!!!!
Watched this today and decided to use it to learn how to use a sewing machine. I have now made three scrunchies. This is a very informative, easy to watch video. Perfect length and pacing. Works really well. I am wearing my first scrunchie right now (used it to tie my hair back while I made more).
Loved it. After seeing this method in your last video, my mind was blown away. I always do the burrito method, flip the tube through the hole and put the elastic. This is way faster. Will try the new method. Thank you for the tutorial.
That’s great! Yes sewing it will save you elastic. I just show it as knotted to save time and also to make beginner friendly. Sewing skinny elastic is tricky for some people. Thanks for watching🙏

They really aren't complex. This method will save you having to thread in the elastic. For anyone producing these to sell, it saves a lot of time. These really can be made in minutes once cut. Hope you give it a try. Cheers!

These scrunchies are fabulous! So much easier than other methods I’ve tried. I’ve found that about 8” elastic works for my hair, and I sew mine instead of tying ( because my knots tend to come undone)
Thank you. Your knots shouldn’t come undone if tied this way. It just saves a bit of time if you are bulk sewing. Please have a look on my channel for more methods to make scrunchies etc…😊

Thank you ❤😊
You're welcome 😊
What a super easy, straight to the point tutorial. I bought that thingy-majig for the elastic. Wasnt sure what it was stored it in the back of my drawer. So happy I remember where it was! Made my 1st scrunchy....Yay!!! Thank you!!!!!
Fantastic! Please have a look at my other methods to make scrunchies. You may get a head start on the gift giving😊
Mama Mia that burrito method is just great !
Yes it is! Hope you try it.
I have just made one... within 15 minutes! Unbelievable. I am assembling 50 presents for a friend who turns 50 next year - and this is a perfect gift to go in that basket of 50 gifts. Thanks so much for this great tutorial, Angela!
Fantastic! You will be making them in less than 5 minutes in no time! Make sure to batch sew the 50.
Hahaha... there's going to be 50 DIFFERENT presents in that basket; not 50 scrunchies 😄
Ah sorry my mistake.😬. Happy Holidays!
