If you want to see how I made the shirt I am wearing (also from fabric scraps), here's the video - ruclips.net/video/pXIl5uJzgFI/видео.html
Thank you so much! This is by far the best and easiest method I have tried for sewing scrunchies. No fiddling - just straight seams, love it! A tip for those whose fingers are a bit arthritic like mine: attach a safety pin to each end of the elastic when you are threading it through, then if you lose your grip, it's easy to find either lost end. Best wishes and thank you for your very helpful tutorials. ❤
I made some of these with a different technique, the burrito method. I used flower and veggie fabric remnants from the thrift store and made “Sprinkler Scrunchies” or “Faucet Friends.”
Now when I turn on the water I wear the scrunchie around my wrist so I don’t forget the watering, and then return it back to the faucet where it stays until next time. I’m so proud of my little idea and our house sitter loved it too!
Very good tutorial
Your videos are always so informative and I appreciate them always!
Glad you like them and thank you for a sweet comment! I always try to do my best with the videos and give my all so that more people can enjoy sewing :)
Thank you I have so much scrap fabric and now I have time to use it. Thank you.
Same here! I am overflowing with fabric scraps I made these for project "Dress A Girl" to put in the pockets of the dresses. Scraps used - check, scrunchies made for little girls - check :)
I've been watching your videos before I even got a sewing machine and now that I have one I'm completely overwhelmed with project ideas! I tend to get over ambitious with ideas as a beginner, so it was nice to wake up to a simple and useful project. Thanks for sharing!
I totally understand you! It can, for sure, get very overwhelming when excitement and creativity take over. I have a perfect video for you, it starts with very simple projects to build your sewing and pattern skills and I explain why and how :) here it is - ruclips.net/video/qr6gXhevWw8/видео.html
@@ThoughtfulCreativity I'll definitely check it out soon! Thank you!
Thank you very much, Alisa! For people with hair long enough to put in a ponytail, having a scrunchie to go with our new garment is icing on the cake. I want to try that wider style now!
Love this method. Thank you for sharing❤
This is the best scrunchie video I've seen! Thank you!
Yay! Thank you!
It’s nice to see you do small more manageable projects. Sometimes sewing bigger items can be overwhelming 😅😅.
Scraps scraps scraps. 🎉🎉
Last year I took on an online sewing course and thanks to your channel, I was able to pass! Thank you
I love this idea!! To have a scrunchie that works for my think hair would be amazing! Thank you so much for sharing.
Thank you, dear. I have thick, fine strand hair. I bet this will be peachy for me and my niece!
Oh yes, also choose smooth fabric, like silk or silk like, and then you will be able to slide scrunchie out of your hair without much damage to the hair!
@@ThoughtfulCreativity Good tip, sunshine
Lovely tutorial. Thank you ❤
Thank YOU for watching! 😊
Thank you for this video
My pleasure!
Thanks for this great video, can't wait to make these. New Subscriber.
I like this method. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching, Terie! :)
Very gooooood❤❤
I so want to make these, Thxs sis🧵✅
How do you stop the elastic from twisting when you insert it, or do you not have to worry about that? Thanks for the easy-to-follow video.
Hmm... I don't really have a problem with it, I just untwist it if needed and then continue with the steps. But it only happens once in a while. Thank you, I hope you make some for yourself :)
Do you use braided or knit elastic? Which do you find to be most durable? Is there a certain brand you prefer? Thanks!
I am watching your videos religiously and learning so much. I am new to this field trying to learn sewing by myself. I have seen your drafting bodice block with dart video. Tried myself. But my shoulder seam of front and back bodice is not matching length wise. Please help me with this. How can adjust this? Or I have taken any measurements wrong? Please help.
Hello there! I would say you have 2 options: 1) go back, retrace your steps and see if you have taken wrong measurements or drafted something slightly off or 2) you can match one of the shoulder seams to the other (so extend, or shorten) and then make a mock up and you will see pretty clearly if something is off.
Qual a medida do tecido pra fazer a scrunchie?
Please dear I didn't get the length of fabric used to make the scrunchie
Do you still really like your Bernadette 38? If so, what are the names of the missing feet that your Singer has that the Bernadette 38 does not have? Thank You
Hello there :) I do! You can see in every video which sewing machine I use :) and here's the comparison of the two and my thoughts on which one is better - ruclips.net/video/ynkUdCA6eSI/видео.html
You are so sweet. Thank you so much ❤
Is it 15 or 50 inches you said
It is 50 inches
Please dear I didn't get the length of fabric used to make the scrunchie
