Assassin's Creed is an open-world, action-adventure, and stealth game franchise published by Ubisoft and developed mainly by its studio Ubisoft Montreal using the game engine Anvil and its more advanced derivatives. Created by Patrice Désilets, Jade Raymond, and Corey May, the Assassin's Creed video game series depicts a fictional millennia-old struggle between the Order of Assassins, who fight for peace and free will, and the Knights Templar, who desire peace through order and control. The series features historical fiction, science fiction, and fictional characters intertwined with real-world historical events and historical figures. In most games, players control a historical Assassin while also playing as an Assassin Initiate or someone caught in the Assassin-Templar conflict in the present-day framing story. Considered a spiritual successor to the Prince of Persia series, Assassin's Creed took inspiration from the novel Alamut by the Slovenian writer Vladimir Bartol, based on the historical Hashashin sect of the medieval Middle East.

It almost feels like Ubisoft leaks these games intentionally just to see people's reactions and change their game's direction based on them. It's too sus at this point.
That’s what a lot of studios do. And you say that as though it wasn’t appreciated
Which is why we need to speak more against micro transactions
Yeah that's not really a hot take, it's probably exactly what's going on
@@danimmmmm I doubt that's going to do much at this point sadly. They introduced mtx literally a decade ago with Unity.
Besides, AC games have such a bloated budget now that they can't profit just from selling the game. So their solution is mtx in single player games. Doesn’t make it any less shitty. If the leaks about Red was any indication, it'll only get worse. Better buy their games used. That's what I'd do to not support such a shitty company.
yeah, but would you trust their own devs not to include wokeism and just trash nobody asked for? at least with our feedback they give us something we actually would want instead of trash like Legion literally nobody asked for
This is definitely Würzburg witch trials of 1625-1631, which took place in the self-governing Catholic Prince-Bishopric of Würzburg in the Holy Roman Empire in present-day Germany, formed one of the biggest mass trials and mass executions ever seen in Europe, and one of the largest witch trials in history.
My bet is that Elsa discovered an Apple of Eden by accident. The local village, upon seeing what the Apple of Eden can do, accused her of being a witch. However, it's not her; it's the apple itself. So, all supernatural occurrences must have come from that apple. I like if the game takes place in a never-ending night, just like batman akram
No, it will be in 16 century
@@MrSpawn229 Not everyone uses this system where you call the century after the number it leads into.
@@carno.5911 tf? so you live in the 20th century?
If Assassin’s Creed go dark it becomes masterpiece 👾
Especially because it would add to the ambience and mystery of the world.
Remember unity, rogue, black flag and AC 2? They showed dark stories are good asf
Agreed valhalla was quite dark and it was amazing
@@adarshsridhar6051 AC Ezio Trilogy cultists attacking this comment in 3, 2, 1…
If it's grounded, sure. If it's all supernatural bs, hard pass. Shouldn't even be called assassins creed at that point.
A return to Central Europe (especially around the time or shortly after Ezio) is exactly what I want from AC at the moment, and we need a solo female protagonist in a game about the witch trials, it’s a great setting. I wouldn’t particularly be excited about the character having “supernatural” abilities though unless they were explained with a piece of Eden
I mean it's not really a return if we haven't ever been to Central Europe, but I do agree the franchise as been ignoring the possibilities a solo female protagonist could bring to the story and gameplay, (like aveline's disguise system).
Finally, I agree, if the "supernatural" abilities come from a piece of Eden it could work.
I'm imagining a "obelix falling into a cauldron of magic potion" situation, but with Elsa instead of Obelix and an Apple of Eden (which we've seen control people's minds so animals wouldn't that much of a stretch) instead of a cauldron of magic potion
Even then, I’m not sure I’d enjoy the supernatural elements too much. Pieces of eden have just become plot devices to break realism whenever they want instead of the unique set pieces and rare objects you don’t see until the end of the game like they used to be
Protagonists in these games have always had supernatural abilities bro. Eagle vision isn’t real.
It's funny how ac Jade is just completely forgotten tho it's still not released. It's like it was ready and then simply canceled
Honestly very few people give a damn about a mobile game in this franchise (I'm not among those people.)
Lmao no. It's coming out after hex.
People don’t like it because it is like playing Chinese character with Roman setting
@@demon6937 lmao what
@@spaceboye9343 did you see the trailer? The main boss there are Roman generals, mostly is Roman like place but I do see few Chinese setting. The Chinese guy is holding a spear.
The "easily scared" bit has me intrigued because I find myself often playing AC games late at night so if I'm walking around a dark and creepy forest and start to hear something mysterious or strange lurking in the forest with me I think that'd be a pretty interesting dynamic since no previous AC game has had something like that. The closest, in my opinion, being in the AC titles featuring wildlife that you can hunt (wolves, bears, etc.) and you might not see them but you'll hear them start to growl. Jumpscared me a few times ngl.
I take it you're a fan of horror
I hope assassins creeds gonna redeem themselves with these new games fingers crossed 🤞
They redeemed themselves with mirage I’d say but hopefully they can do a big rpg right this time. Odyssey was good but didn’t feel like assassins creed and Valhalla wasn’t that great imo
Redeem themselves? Every ac game so far has been great. Valhalla, personally, in terms of game design was the best so far in the series. Sure, the latest games aren’t exact copies of the originals but that’s what makes them unique. They’re still fun expansive worlds with ac-esque gameplay and my favorite stealth action games in terms of gameplay.
@@adarshsridhar6051 I agree with you they never needed to redeem themselves. Valhalla was just my least favorite personally but it was by no means a bad game. And you are right that it was made them unique the series needed change it couldn’t just keep doing the same thing
@@adarshsridhar6051 I mean redeem themselves as Ac games
@@mrhunter2154 Yeah, I believe what made them change the formula a bit was when the main criticism for the series was that the games were all too similar
Hasn't every AC protagonist had some form of supernatural power? Even if it gets called "Isu DNA" or whatever, the last four games have had the ability to control at least one Animal (the Eagle/Raven). This really doesn't seem that off.
Yeah. Eagle Vision, drone birds, etc.
this is probably something else
she can throw lightning or something (please tell me you cant do that in the last 4 games)
Connor had bear, wolf and eagle powers in Tyranny of King Washington
For us yes but the real assassins didn’t. We get to see thru walls and eagle vision etc via animus because we’re reliving what they actually did. Up until the rpg trilogy, players would be transported back to the animus loading blank white matrix after each death to signify that this is a simulation. So hexe will be the first time the protagonist will be having powers to pass onto whoever is using the animus.
@@idontgetscaredEagle Vision was an actual thing all the Assassin's we play as could do. It wasn't the Animus.
Considering you're playing as a supposed witch in a witch trial, Hexe could have a heavy emphasis on stealth, especially social stealth.
About her supernatural abilities, her animal control might be explained via some kind of variant of the Eagle Vision, like the RPG protagonists' ability to connect with their birds. Maybe she got exposed to a Piece of Eden. Maybe some of her other abilities can be explained via alchemy or just plain science that the people of that time couldn't understand.
I am quite intrigued by it. I love the idea of a more dark fantasy/ grimdark take on the franchise, hopefully with a gothic horror aesthetic to the world
imagine playing the game for the 1st time, then a trial is just happing in the plaza and then someone is atached to a pole then is bieng incinerated, just as the folklore says...
That will be dope no lie show us how dark it was back then
they did burn Jacque de Molay in Unity - bringing an end to the Crusades
And someone yelling: "Radovid sucks flaccid cock"
Eagle vision, jumping form ridiculously tall structures and surviving without not even a scratch, the mirage “teleport”.
Somewhat videogame characters have some supernatural skills. And Assasins Creed will work really well with this setting. I’m really excited for Hexe!
This ☝️
I refuse to believe that the assassin focus from mirage is just "basim moving too fast for the animus to keep up with". There's no way a normal human can move so fast that he can literally move somewhere else in the middle of a free fall.
@@Ash-Winchester He's not a normal human tho he's loki
@@theshadowsamurai07 I know, but other people in the AC community are basically allergic to anything superhuman/mystical, which is why they bought the whole "he's just moving really fast" bs.
@@Ash-Winchester which is crazy considering the game is literally Fiction which it clearly states at the start of every game😂 this whole it's not realistic enough and other stuff they say is straight bs it's a f***ing Video game they are just using excuses to complain every thing they say isn't valid at all
I feel like animal control would only work if Elsa had a piece of Eden in her possession that could control animal lifeforms
Fr some form of isu tech needs to be involved over genuine witchcraft
Like i could fuck with her being a sage and doing it somehow not her actually being a witch
We’ve seen countless times that certain ac protagonists dont need a piece of Eden to use their powers
From the line "Mephisto avenge house/family" I have a small theory. I think this will be a revenge game pretty much like they did in AC2. I think Elsa will be a witch referred as Mephisto/Demon and because of this her family gets killed. It's pretty early to come with theories because we have such small amounts of info. Can't wait to get new informations about this game and especially the story, I think Hexe has so much potential!
To make the supernatural abilities work, it can’t be something like going invisible or teleporting, but I feel like if it’s something simple like speed (not super speed, just speedier) or jumping higher it could work out
I find this a pretty good turn for the series, a dark theme would be really fitting for assassin’s creed
I think the abilities may be tied into combat… like imbuing magic with a sword or bow. Definitely something magic related because it’s set during the witch trials
Assassin’s Creed is a series that has had supernatural artifacts through out. Her having a piece of Eden explains her having supernatural abilities.
Also, Watch Dogs Legion did have a protagonist. You just didn’t play as him.
The one thing i really expect to be added on hexe is improved tree parkour like it's even obvious on the hexe trailer
There’s actually a debate in a discord server that I’m a part of saying that the system could be similar to Ghost of Tsushima, with most of the supernatural abilities and fear being a result of gear and reputation-with the more overtly supernatural abilities being the result of a PoE.
Damn... Ubisoft went from saying a AC game set in Japan would be generic. To making a AC game set in Japan because of a Stealth/Action game doing just that and being extremely popular along with the lifting elements from said game for a different entry of the AC series huh?
Eternal grifters these Frenchmen.
@@Sivrn-Val I personally think it’s more of them learning to not judge a book by its premise
Hexe is the one I’m looking forward to most, I am a bit skeptical about the magic powers described but you were able to control a bird in the last three games. Maybe they’ll expand the lore with this ability.
I love assassin creed man. If they just stick with me being an assassin I am happy!
That and also not having super sayian abilities
There is a voice file in ac rouge in the real world computer that speaks about 17th century Germany and a piece of Eden that can bring the dead back to life
I don't understand stand AAA game haters
Like they will say there is no innovation in the series and it is just copy paste of the last game
And then complaint on why there the new games are so different
As a side note I bought my gaming PC 6 months ago so I am very new to this hobby
Well think of it like this. The Assassin's Creed series went from being a semi-historically accurate series about Assassin's and Templars to completely jumping the shark.
Not a bad thing in some aspects sure. But there's also the fact that three of the recent entries have been filled to the brim with micro transactions and probably the worst assassination mechanic ever..
Though, I'm very skeptical of Ubisoft games, this game's theme looks kind of different. At least they are wanting to have some change.
the setting alone makes me super excited for this
If they do this right, this has potential to be the game of the year.
Yes really
No 😂 it only become success if they added bith witch & wizards 😂real AC fans don't like to play AC games as a famale character it's boring 😂i wish it comes with wizard too

Although not from a mainline AC, there was also Aveline de Grandpré from AC Liberation
A social stealth focused AC game with horror elements playing as a witch, possibly with magical powers coming from your possession of an apple of eden...
Sounds baller. I honestly wouldn't mind if they introduce more supernatural isu stuff in guise of traditional pagan magic irl, possibly even cryptids of some sort sense theyve increasingly increased the fantastical themes since AC Odyssey which imo makes the settings and overall story way more interesting. I think im actually excited for Hexe
I've been so excited for these next few ubi games, I really hope they're good. The supernatural powers are a bit worrying, I'm hoping it might be less super super natural and more just nature twisted to do what you want, plus I'm excited to see the first mainline game with a sole fem protagonist.
Great video as always 🤘
You were fast reporting these😂. Love your vids man
Your community post on the cat ability had me feeling very skeptical, but this video has made me feel optimistic about the game. I think the linear narrative and going away from the RPG shows that company is paying attention to the majority of the AC community. I’m curious how it will feel as a protagonist with magical powers, but optimistically curious. Great video man!
Considering the hefty sales number of all of ac’s RPG games and their review scores I wouldn’t say that the majority of people would like a return to form, it’s just that ubisoft is getting wise not to over saturate and fatigue their audience from their huge games. So breaking up their epic sized games with smaller ones inbetween is a perfect marketing strategy. I personally loved the last 4 games from them and I know many others who do.
I haven't really paid any attention to this game, but I'm intrigued now. I'm gonna keep an eye out for this one
If the horror elements are any close to what was happening in Wrath of Druids DLC to Valhalla then I'm very interested. The fights in hallucinogenic mist gave me shivers each time
Im getting plague tale: innocence vibes from this. The stealth where shadows play a big part and being able to use rats to distract and take down enemies. Probably not exactly the same but at least we have an idea.
I’m gonna predict we’re playing a character who possesses a piece of Eden for her powers, avenging some wrong brought against her family/house. And maybe it’s her continuous use of the piece of Eden escalates the events of the witch hunts, and maybe causes psychological problems for the user, hence the introduction of a horror aspect.
Most likely she sells her soul to the devil Mephisto, and does his dirty work throught the game to avenge her family.
Mephisto is not part of "germanic" folklore. That implies a tie to gods like Odin or Thor.
It's from a more time specific legend abought an actual person: Doctor Johannes Faustus, who was believed by some people to be a sorcerer, have a pact with a demon and things like that. It was basicly yellow press, but with lots of superstition on occult magic and was spread by professional entertainers in the early modern period/renaissance (kinda like "bards" performing at fairs and the like).
This is not a singular occurence a lot of people with somewhat interesting lives where sensationalised as witches or sorcerers, etc.
Thats because a big part of the population did believe firmly in the whole supernatural: good from god, angels, saints and evil from the devil, demons, witches, etc.
Love you bro
I'm pumped for this one. My family is from Germany so I'm hopeful that it's around there.
I’m pretty interested in this game, the time period is cool
I hope we hear more official stuff about it soon
I just did a huge school project on witchcraft, and now this, I am so pumped
These leaks lowkey increased my hype for the game. I'm kinda excited for hexe now.
A pentacle/pentagramm is a star with five points (its a ancient greek term and "penta" means five).
What we see in the teaser is a seven pointed star: a "heptagramm".
Nitpick: the background of the AC logo is not a pentacle -- as 'penta' means 5, thus it would be a 5-pointed star. What we see here is an inverted 7-pointed star, or septagram.
I really love the concept and the news so far! I don't mind the mythological layers or supernatural elements but I just need there to be grounding in the setting and story so far. I can roll with hybrids being demigods/super-human, just so long as it is explained in the setting and doesn't contradict what has come before. It would be interesting if Elsa is somehow a projection of a temple AI or like a free-roaming Alethia hologram who thinks she's human, something like that. So she's really using an Object of Eden to do all of this supernatural stuff but have it come to a head in the story and have her deal with that.
Maybe the “super natural powers” they spoke of might be related to the isu artifacts and or ones we have not seen yet.
Think about it, alchemy experiments done on isu artifacts would fit in that time period.
I really want social stealth to return in this game, it would work so well in this setting 🙏🏻
Just give me good historical city to Parkour if bundled with good story can't ask more lol
as a german I’m quit sure that your translation from the ac logo need to be „Wir Arbeiten in der Dunkelheit um den Licht zu dienen“ this would be the right writing
Another W vid from the goat, dang I really wish Assassin's creed went back to its root, I have an idea remake tge Assassin's creed games and rewrite the storys a bit like for example having ac1, 2, brotherhood, and Revelations be the same story wise but not have Lucy die, and make all of the gameplay just better, and have ac3 be the same just the story be different to not have desond die, and as the games go on and desmonds story comes to and end in one last gane a modern day assassin's creed game, and they could still make games just not have a modern day.
Bros just changing the entire point of ac 😂
@@dexfrancolini4734 what ?
its probably gonna be like $90 for the base edition
A dark assassins creed in medieval Germany sounds cool, I don’t really want play as a female , especially in that setting. I would much rather play a grim male assassin who is either hunting or protecting a witch like female character
very interesting if u come from germany like me i hope i can identify much of the upcomming leaks
Nicest way to start my day
ever since they announced this new wave of upcoming AC games, this one has piqued my interest the most, far more than Red. I can't wait to see how it turns out and I really REALLY hope they don't mess it up..
In AC3 the6 mention how the focused attention of people could change reality. That is Ac Canon magic. It's just never been explored, but that idea is the basis for Mage: the Ascension. Or, a real world example, Thelma.
I am curious to see if they pull the trigger on that old nugget.
also worried that the powers may be FAR too outlandish. The question is also how this will be bestowed upon her. Another thing I'm worried about is the lack of mention of the actual assassins brotherhood. I don't know if they have mentioned it, but I know I badly want the brotherhood to play an active role in AC Hexe. Also you mentioned they are going a whole other direction with this game, which is also worrying, because the fans have repeatedly demanded something similar to the original titles from AC2 to AC Unity(In terms of story progression and overarching themes). I'm excited for it, because of the interesting setting but also anxious of the direction they might take and whether or not it will appeal to fans of the franchise.
Horror AC game, where the MC screws up the mission, becoming the only one who survived and strangles in the village full of crazy cults trying to find the way out or giving warning to other AC members about the place.
Thanks!
I wonder if Ubisoft will go all in on the grimdark theme or if they will pussyfoot about like with Valhalla.
cool thought story is if this is the introduction to The Instrument's of the first will cult being the main antagonist seeking those with Isu blood to commune with Juno and do her bidding's , but the Templars and their power and goals at the time is the reason the witch hunt trials are happening for whatever templar gain, apples of eden, hidden temples heavely involved hopefully, interactions with Juno that we didn't know about. introduce some Isu correlations something new and fresh I wanna steer away from the Aesir Reincarnation arc we gotta bring in some stuff like in the canon comics, what's up with Desmond's son Elijah after Juno's Assassination type stuff
I am hoping that it’s not too heavy on the stealth aspect as mirage was. Just because stealth SHOULD be a large aspect in any AC game, doesn’t mean that it should be the only aspect of it, with mirage it seemed like the game was difficult unless you stick to stealth, and it shouldn’t be that way IMO in order to connect with more playstyles
I'm super curious about this Assassins Creed, because i like when games push its formula to something else.
Keep the same narrative and gameplay but different stories, I'm curious 😅
Im excited for Ubisoft experimenting with themes like this, since they have already taken a rather mythological route, a supernatural protagonist could be interesting! But it kind of sucks that they arent making it open world because Witch games are essentially perfect open world games...Exploring regions of high spiritual power, Excorcising strong demons, discovering ancient texts and rituals, this is the PERFECT game to make an rpg. Adding an explorative side to this game would also create a different level of immersion, I instantly think of the AC3 underground with its air of creepiness as you explored it with a lantern...imagine walking in the woods with a lantern while demons watch and attack from the shadows, The underground in AC3 always gave me the creeps with its air of mystery and this game also has the potential to do so.
Looking at where theyve gone. This could actuslly be a really cool use of the weird choices that the rpg trilogy made about mythology. German folklore is pretty dark, so this could be a really cool concept
If they do this right then this should be a banger imo
4:50 theres actually Aveline from AC Liberation who was the first sole female MC I think
Im not opposed to powers since its witches. The leaks said she's still an Assassin so that's all I need lol.
Btw the e at the end of hexe is silent but this game I am excited for I mean red seems interesting but I love the supernatural so Im excited and IDC about the whole having powers thing since little mister schizo has a teleporting power in mirage and bare in mind basim isn't in the Animus this is actually his life we played through
Do you guys think there will be an Assassin's Creed game placed around Dubrovnik?
The “supernatural abilities" makes me think ov ISU tech.
Conner has the ability to channel spirit animals with no ISU tech
@@spaceboye9343 pretty sure the DLC was inside of Connors head.
As someone born near the Pendal witch trials of 1612 and grew up on the stories I’m super excited about this !
You were born near 1612? So you're over 400 years old?
All in all, this project really intrigues me. Deviating from the norm seems like a healthy choice for a franchise as long as AC and with no intentions to stop any time soon.
The powers seem like an interesting concept. I hope they’re not as intrusive as the ones in that weird AC3 DLC, but maybe just strategical advantages as the one described with the cat luring guards away. No doubt whatever those powers are, they’re bound to be tied to the first civilization in some form, so I can see them working within the lore (though that hardly seems to matter anymore).
Actually, Kassandra is the canon protagonist. So she was the first female protagonists in the main line (and the most important character in the whole saga). And Evie is a CO-PROTAGONIST, so yeah, She is also a female protagonist in the main line
With the animal powers Elsa seem to have, I think it might be an expansion lore wise of the elder tree spirit in the AC3 DLC storyline, The Tyranny of King Washington, and while that whole story is in an alternate reality projected by an Apple, there are canon elements in there. In that DLC story, Connor gets his animal spirit powers from drinking a tea from the elder tree that lets him see the animal spirits where when helping them, he gets the animals' powers in return. I get the feeling that Elsa gets her supernatural powers in a similar way, but her animal related powers are different from Connor's where instead of taking on the animal spirits' powers, she controls the animals and manipulates them. Perhaps with this, it might come with the return of that gameplay mechanic from the AC3 DLC where using her supernatural powers will actually drain her health. This is all just a speculation from me of course, but it would still be cool if Hexe were to make that connection with AC3.
This has a very good potential to be a game with a dark setting like Bloodbourne etc. hope they do not fail with the storyline!
That's exactly what I'm thinking.
2024 and he is still my fav AC youtuber. :)
also your channel is almost 10 years old
10 years??? You mean 1 haha also thanks dude
Question: isn’t there a beast tamer ability in Odyssey? If that’s the case then how is Elsa’s ability to control animals any different?
Assassin's Creed Hexe = Frozen 3
So looking how Ac moved away from being atleast semi realistic (being demigods and actual reincarnations of them) going full in on it might not be a bad idea. Granted first we're getting Red and Hexe is probably crawling right now but if leaks say it will be completely different from any other ac? Hey I'm in, why not have a horror ac or perhaps something...I dunno Dishonored like? As you mentioned possessing animals that was my first thought ^^
Ngl I don’t have a huge problem with the supernatural stuff as long as it’s done right and we aren’t the only ones who use it. Like some of the enemies can use them too
I think if they can execute the supernatural powers well they’ll be awesome.
I'm not sure about this type of "abilities", need to see it in action and the way it's implemented and explained. However, I really doubt that Darby would return to Ubisoft just so he could turn AC supernatural.
I find it funny that you say that you feel uneasy about the protagonist having 'supernatural' abilities, when pretty much every Assassin's Creed character has Eagle Vision and can see through walls etc. Or has the ability to see through the eyes of a bird in the sky, or even talk to said bird, have it mark enemies on the map for you, and some how you now know what it did. That seems pretty supernatural to me...
Oh heck yes. Everything about this makes me want to play it more: the setting, witch protag, animal powers, linearity, horror, the aesthetic. I thought I wasn't going to buy any more AC games but if this one is indeed what they're advertising then I'll eat my words and come back for the first solo mainline woman assassin protag.
I wonder if there will be a bad occult group that influences society against the good occult group. And our protagonist is being hunted by both society and the bad occult group. Possibly the occult hunters are the horror aspect but the society hunters are most return to form assassins creed gameplay
I can't wait it going dark like horror assassin's creed
While the part about being able to control animals intrigues me it does worry me a bit. Other than that the game sounds pretty decent.
intresting consept about hexe
I hope that there will be Ubisoft- Microtransactions!
im intrigued by the fear system if its like jackie ripperman
Can’t wait till AC does an Aztec Empire version with the Spanish Conquistadores
This is the Assassins Creed game I have been most exited for in a long time

Would be good to see Slavic mythological vail in Isu! :)
If this is going to take place in Germany, Elsa is a really weird name, since it's a Scandinavian name (Sweden/Norway/Denmark). Maybe she is Swedish (Sweden also had A LOT of witch trials and executions in the 1600's) who fled Sweden for Germany? Or maybe she went from Sweden to aid the German witches or something? Would still be cool if Sweden (my home country) is represented in some way 😊I'm also so happy we get our first female only main character!
