I am currently playing this game, about 15hrs in. Absolutely love the game. And the climbing mechanics is a lot similar to the original Ac games, which we have not seen in the last couple of years so the final verdict is ❤
One thing I realize is that a lot of new games now as you complete it you don’t feel like you wanna play it again it’s sad the older games I’d replay them like a 100 times and still enjoy it I missed that
this game was amazing, one of my favorites actually. I would love to see a game that’s based off the assassins creed movie with aguilar. He was so badass in the movie and i want to see more of him considering the minor scenes we got to actually see of him as the movie was heavily on the modern day aspect and focused more on abstergo and the templars
Mirage was definitely an attempt to return to form for AC and for me it reminded me of the original titles. But I’m not gonna lie, as much hate as I get for saying it I freaking love Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla. But Mirage at least made me feel a little bit of my childhood nostalgia again
I’m watching this while doing the NG+, Permadeath, hardest difficulty run. So far so good. Also, in my opinion I think this game was really good and has been one of the best ac games in a LOONNNGGGGG while
Solid A tier and definitely a step in the right direction for assassins creed. The only things keeping it from being A+ or potentially S is the length and potentially the Valhalla tie in holding back its parkour. While Baghdad was an amazing city and Bordeaux did a fantastic job with what they had, I wonder how much more it couldve been elevated if they had the old parkour system and weren’t held back by Valhalla’s mechanics.
Mirage is a great game, in my opinion. Great stealth, solid story, and good parkour. My only complaint is the bad combat. Solid 8/10 game worth the money, in my opinion. It's better than Valhalla, but it doesn't beat Origins or Odyssey.
Great AC game in a long time, great value and length, extremely fun stealth mechanics. Obviously we have chain assassinations now, but I really miss double assassinations.
Having just completed it for the first time, I think my biggest criticism is that I wish the game was just a tad longer? 20 hours is a very good length, but I really enjoyed this setting and wish the story was about 25, maybe even 30 hours long instead.
@@Jake-vh6jp I loved the game. I just wish it was just a little longer because I feel once you're done with the story, you're kinda just done with the game as there's not much else besides collectibles.
This is what I wanted from the new engine. RPG elements while still holding true and feeling like an assassin. The combat could definitely use some work, even going back to the old style that wasn’t hard, but was entertaining. I played ac for the feeling of being an assassin. While Valhalla was a great Viking game, it never felt like an ac game to me. I hope they continue to build from this game and improve to bring us the best version of ac we will see. I even forgot about so many little elements like pulling posters off to lower notoriety because we haven’t had them in such a long time. Overall it definitely wasn’t the best ac game made, but compared to the previous 3, it was definitely a good blast to the past with a touch of modernism.
I'm literally playing the game right now on Permadeath mode at this moment lol. Then this notification popped up 😂 Can't believe it's ALREADY 6 months later🤯
Honestly i really liked the direction Ubisoft went with Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla but this one just didn't do it for me, hope they keep their horizon's open with the scope and depth of the previous games
I've got more hours in this than I do in Valhalla... Despite it being a MUCH shorter, smaller game. It's just more fun. It's the assassin fantasy. I played through the game normally, then highest difficulty with the Arabic dub (I highly recommend it, it's brilliant), then used that save in New Game+ when that update came out, and am replaying it again on the highest difficulty but with Permadeath It's parkour isn't groundbreaking, but it's satisfying, fluid and better than the RPG games. The world of Baghdad is phenomenal. It's breathtakingly beautiful, well designed for gameplay with good parkour pathing etc. The stealth is the best I think it's been in an AC game to date. The combat is... Meh not amazing, but not as terrible as people make it out to be. Overall a great package overall. An easy 8/10 game for me. I want to see a LOT more Assassins Creed games from the Bordeaux team. Imagine if they had Valhalla's budget and development time, just what they could've created!
Damn lol.if those are bad, the gameplay is ugly (in my opinion) , cutscenes are not good, parkor is not it...with all that said....i cant play it 🥲 lol
I finished it, then 100% it, then never touched it since, I’ve even gone back to playing Valhalla… if it was like 10-20 hours longer with a somewhat larger world and more quests/treasure hunts, it would’ve been perfect.
I wish we had gotten a bit more backstory for basim. Like to see how he lost his father or how/when he started seeing nehal. We don't really know much about his early life and i think that it would help the story a bit more
I just started playing it last week, and I love it. I do like the newer games' more combat-heavy style, but my playstyle within those games has still been more stealth-oriented, so Mirage is exactly what I like. I'm not ready to say if I like Mirage more than Origins, Unity, Revelations or Odyssey yet, but I do like it more than Valhalla, Black Flag, III, Brotherhood, Rogue & Syndicate. and I *really* like BF & Syndicate. I like the size of the game too. it's not too big and not too small, and the setting is a very a welcome changeup. I'd like more games set in Asia, Africa and Central/South America. I play games to experience new worlds, and I love the AC series for choosing interesting time periods. we have had enough games set in the US and Western Europe. it's for this reason that I'm very curious about AC Jade.
It’s crazy I thought that this game would top, AC ORIGINS. Boy was I wrong. I almost regret buying it. I don’t even play it anymore and still haven’t finished it.😕
@@BlueFusion2910 That’s your opinion and there’s nothing wrong w/ that. I didn’t enjoy it though. Hopefully the next large open-world AC(Red) will be better or as good as ACOrigins
BIG AC fanboy here, Mirage for me had the potential to be a masterpiece, sadly I found the story very unfulfilling, the combat system is just horrible, but I absolutely LOVED the city design & feel, stealth was suprisingly fun ( even with the very dumb AI ). Overall I would give it a 6/10, given that am already arab, experiencing the game fully in arabic felt great. Odessey & Origins are Still KING of this special franchise for me.
Honestly every AC game is dumb because all NPCs have the same climbing ability you do, effectively dismantling the entire point of training to become, or operating as, an assassin.
Dude in previous game like ezio even the regular thief do park our😂😂 have you even play the game no npc climb in mirage only the antagonist and they are assassins too😂😂😂 and even if that was the case you dont have to be trained to climb basim before training cant even kill or do leap of faith! I'm a big AC purist and I've been craving a return to the series roots for a long time. They claimed Mirage would be that, but it turns out to be a very half-assed attempt with so many missed opportunities.
I’ve played every AC game multiple times and I can honestly say that Mirage will be the first one that I will never play again. The only part I enjoyed about this game was how you had to take out certain guards before you could use your bird. That bit was an interesting addition.

I played it the month it dropped and I was so disappointed. Mirage felt nothing like a traditional AC game other than the setting. They just stripped the RPG elements leaving behind the terrible parkour and making the combat worse. The narrative dropped off a cliff halfway through and they kept the annoying mission structure. It’s a step in the right direction and better than Valhalla at least.

5/10 game at absolute best case Only things I liked about it is Timeline and where it’s set, Middle East especially during Medieval time is perfect setting for an AC game but that’s all they did good, Basim as a protagonist is bland af, most side characters are forgettable, dialogues and Voice acting is abysmal, facial features especially during cutscenes is even worse than voice acting, combat is very basic, not enough weapons, Parkour is decent that I would give them
I wna see a modern assassin creed game. Assassins Creed NYC or smt. Going around stealthy, climbing sky scrappers, having a gun for a bow but keep the wrist blades and everything else that makes AC, AC. I guess kinda like a Batman game but in the AC universe
Mirage is the worst out of the last few, I found the world to be boring and empty, the story was mediocre, and the gameplay - especially combat, was putrid.
I don’t understand how you can be satisfied with a game that’s nothing but a copy paste from the last 10 years. We are talking about a game that looks worse graphically than black flag on PS3
Copy Paste is just simply untrue, but okay Also looks worse than black flag lmao? Sure okay keep spewing the same talking points your favorite gaming “journalists” because it’s really showing all of us how much of a true individual you are
You are absolutely delusional if you think Black Flag looks better in any way, shape, or form. I just played both and while I love Black Flag, the Anvil Engine looks WORLDS better in Mirage. Also, this game was based on the core code of Valhalla, yet they managed to do significantly better with this game than with Valhalla.
For me the biggest problem with mirage was the price, $60+ for a game that has little to do after the story and what there is to do isn’t very rewarding. Also that they have no dlc plans is disappointing, with Valhalla and Odyssey I can justify $60+ because they have dlcs that u can get to further enjoy the game.
Years ago, I used to buy a linear games because they were very inexpensive and there was no such thing as open world what we have today. If I buy a game, that’s $80 or more I don’t want it to be linear. I wanted to be like Odyssey, you Ubisoft Quebec did a great job. I have never finished the storyline and I enjoy playing this game daily. This is the type of game that I buy. I feel that I got my money’s worth.
I picked Mirage up in a sale around Christmas and for the amount of money I paid I was pretty satisfied with what I received. It lived up to my expectations of what I saw in the reveal; a modest side project in the franchise that delivers a nostalgic experience, only with VERY impressive visuals and atmospheric environments. As an Arab, I was very pleased with this representation of our heritage as Muslims. (Not talking about the assassination part, of course, but about Baghdad and all the cultural details in the game) I was mostly thrilled by the main theme at the main menu, the unique codex, and the localization of the entire game. This is the first time I play a game with Arabic localization without having the itch to switch back to English voices and subtitles because of the horrible language localization. The gameplay was okay, but I didn't find myself very entertained by stealth or any other playstyle, for that matter, because once I upgraded that teleportation ability I abused it like no body's business. Same goes for the throwing knives that cause decay. The story was the part that disappointed me the most. I entered this game with the understanding that as a prequel it will provide CLEAR answers to Bassem's mystical condition in the sense that I wouldn't have to refer to AC Valhalla spoilers to explain what happened in the end, given that I haven't played the game to this day. But all in all, it was an enjoyable game for what it was and it definitely didn't make me want to peel my skin off my body the same way Odyssey did, so I was thankful.
Finishing it up the past couple of days I really like it, it's a vibe fasho I get nostalgia cause it gives me those same type feels the first couple ac titles do, I always end up end up admiring the scenery
For AC I keep on imagining a future where there is just one place Animus where people can access and play all of human history with overtime adding new cities, perhaps even same cities during different time periods. Including going back to the very beginning, ie. the First Civilization. Not playing it as a game but as a world to live in as multiple characters in the same setting.
To me, it's just a 7/10 game. Nothing groundbreaking. Just another addition to the franchise.

Blacklist, while narratively idiotic, is an incredible stealth game, replaying it now. It holds up superbly, depite being more than 10 years old.
One of my favourite AC games in years.
In my opinion best Ac games 💯 and it was
Damn I thought it was bad … this the first ac game I never bought
@@jordanmarazzi what made it bad
y'all don't even play the game and call it "bad"@@jordanmarazzi
@@willwilkinson8014 The story
6 months wow it's crazy btw you are a legendary assassin in ac games and amazing video too brother i love the stealth in ac mirage alot take care bud 😊😊
I really think the should at a Discovery Mode, like in Origins, Odyssey and Valhalla.
The World, the city of Bagdad looks soooo amazing.
I played mirage week after release And i enjoyed it even now
I am currently playing this game, about 15hrs in. Absolutely love the game. And the climbing mechanics is a lot similar to the original Ac games, which we have not seen in the last couple of years so the final verdict is ❤
One thing I realize is that a lot of new games now as you complete it you don’t feel like you wanna play it again it’s sad the older games I’d replay them like a 100 times and still enjoy it I missed that
Cuz back in the we didn't have the variety of games that we have today ^^
@@AimFo93 that is true
True! After finishing Mirage, the game just felt empty. Wish there were more side quests and DLCs for Mirage
Honestly i don’t feel like replaying any of the ac games
this game was amazing, one of my favorites actually. I would love to see a game that’s based off the assassins creed movie with aguilar. He was so badass in the movie and i want to see more of him considering the minor scenes we got to actually see of him as the movie was heavily on the modern day aspect and focused more on abstergo and the templars
It seems like everyone forgot about the AC1 filter the devs implemented into the game but hey this is still an amazing video
Also, in my opinion I think this game was really good and has been one of the best ac games in a LOONNNGGGGG while
Pushing it best ac game is odyssey did Mirage get nominated in the game award last year nope cause odyssey did in 2018 sooooo that speak voluming gang
@@Grandtemplar305 brother, we dont think of odyssey as assassin game, because if we look at it as assassin game, its terrible
I loved this game. It was my first AC game. Now I’m 50 hours into Odyssey and the game seems fucking massive by comparison.
I’m now 100 hours in and the DLC made it better.
Ask Ubisoft they’ll give u a good answer
Mirage is a great game, in my opinion. Great stealth, solid story, and good parkour. My only complaint is the bad combat. Solid 8/10 game worth the money, in my opinion. It's better than Valhalla, but it doesn't beat Origins or Odyssey.
Still one of my faves AC, solid A tier
Great AC game in a long time, great value and length, extremely fun stealth mechanics. Obviously we have chain assassinations now, but I really miss double assassinations.
Solid 7.5/10
I’m about halfway maybe less through the game and I love it. Reminds me of Unity and it’s actually focused on stealth by making combat punishing
Having just completed it for the first time, I think my biggest criticism is that I wish the game was just a tad longer? 20 hours is a very good length, but I really enjoyed this setting and wish the story was about 25, maybe even 30 hours long instead.
You people are never happy.
Personally I just want an AC game with Odyssey variety, Syndicate combat, Origin tools, Unity Stealth & Parkour and Valhalla’s Map
Hell yeah hoping that for Assassin Creed Red
syndicates combat was awful
valhallas map was awful a AC game
why having such a great parkour system on the worst map to parkour on ?
@@pabloarambula4627 Yeah I was gonna say Syndicate Combat????? It take forever to get to the point
I've got more hours in this than I do in Valhalla... Despite it being a MUCH shorter, smaller game.
It's just more fun. It's the assassin fantasy.
I played through the game normally, then highest difficulty with the Arabic dub (I highly recommend it, it's brilliant), then used that save in New Game+ when that update came out, and am replaying it again on the highest difficulty but with Permadeath
It's parkour isn't groundbreaking, but it's satisfying, fluid and better than the RPG games.
It’s a solid game 7/10 the story and writing are my only complaints
Yeah, the story, characters and writing were mid af
100% agreed here
Damn lol.if those are bad, the gameplay is ugly (in my opinion) , cutscenes are not good, parkor is not it...with all that said....i cant play it 🥲 lol
Sounds like a Assassins Creed game.
I finished it, then 100% it, then never touched it since, I’ve even gone back to playing Valhalla… if it was like 10-20 hours longer with a somewhat larger world and more quests/treasure hunts, it would’ve been perfect.
Great vid dude
I wish we had gotten a bit more backstory for basim.
Like to see how he lost his father or how/when he started seeing nehal.
We don't really know much about his early life and i think that it would help the story a bit more
why do reviewers always say” no the game isn’t perfect, but….” very few games are perfect, let’s stop thinking we need a perfect game all the time
A nice call back to the OG days of AC that a lot of us started with. A very solid 8/10 for me. Just wanted more, you can easily beat it in 20 hours.
A game that is focused on stealth won't let you Double assassinate.
Such hogshit. Why is that not in the game?? It’s not in Valhalla either. The fuck?
Well you do have the (cheat) teleport thingi...
well the first few acs also didnt have it and this is supposed to bring thise vibes back
@@Ambatukam69317 double assassination was introduced in AC2 back in 2009.this game came out 14 years later.
You can throw knives
I completely forgot this game even came out I thought the last AC game was Valhalla, I feel like this is such a forgettable game in the franchise
You made a very valid point, this game has the core elements of the AC franchise. Nice video!
It’s crazy I thought that this game would top, AC ORIGINS. Boy was I wrong. I almost regret buying it. I don’t even play it anymore and still haven’t finished it.😕
It did top Origins, but that isn't saying much, not hard to top trash. I don't know why Origins is so overrated. Every AC after Unity has sucked hard
@@BlueFusion2910 That’s your opinion and there’s nothing wrong w/ that. I didn’t enjoy it though. Hopefully the next large open-world AC(Red) will be better or as good as ACOrigins
ignore BlueFusion, I agree with you. Game is mediocre and a lazy cash grab by Ubi. Regret buying it, but looking forward to AC Red.
@@watahface i actually agree with you, but i still say it's a slight morsel better than Origins that's all
Origins is definitely the most ac game that Ubisoft has put effort in, which is why it’s my favorite.
Played ODYSSEY 3000h😂😂😂...agree
one of my favourite games
I didn't realize this game was out, I've been waiting to play it
Been out 9months now bro haha, I knew it was out but like you I was waiting to play it lol
Honestly every AC game is dumb because all NPCs have the same climbing ability you do, effectively dismantling the entire point of training to become, or operating as, an assassin.
Not all of them I don’t think?
Not all of them. Just the recent ones.
Dude in previous game like ezio even the regular thief do park our😂😂 have you even play the game no npc climb in mirage only the antagonist and they are assassins too😂😂😂 and even if that was the case you dont have to be trained to climb basim before training cant even kill or do leap of faith! In previous game the character know how to do leap of faith withought knowing the assassins exist😂😂 tf you taking about
For real I thought I was the only one who noticed they need to have different animations for the npc’s maybe slower and clumsy parkour
@@RaulitoTheAssassin so,if ezio wasnt an assassin, how you explain the eagle vision,or desmond,of course they are assassins,is in their blood,
Playing the game now and I love it. They really nailed the Assassin feel and the setting/map which were the reasons I was hyped about the game.
I just started 4 days ago to. Lovin it. Be that Origins is my fav I felt the vibes immediately. Sarah B. did a great job. This was a breathe of fresh air
is that all black outfit at 0:58 a mod or can you unlock it by playing the game it looks cool
idk i was too distracted by him sliding *upstairs*
I'm a big AC purist and I've been craving a return to the series roots for a long time. They claimed Mirage would be that, but it turns out to be a very half-assed attempt with so many missed opportunities.
I’ve played every AC game multiple times and I can honestly say that Mirage will be the first one that I will never play again. The only part I enjoyed about this game was how you had to take out certain guards before you could use your bird. That bit was an interesting addition.
Played ODYSSEY 3000h😂😂😂...finished 8 times
Finally someone I agree with, the game was so damn boring
@@salmannader1762 I didn't buy MIRAGE because I check first on youtube and is made by small company what do you expect!...ODYSSEY is the best game eveeer made and ORIGINS and next A.C RED it will be too is made by ODYSSEY team...
same here. If the other people in the comments have played all AC games they should know Mirage is the weakest. Lazy cash grab from Ubi.
@@watahface I read on the internet that A C MIRAGE was created by a very small company UBISOFT BORDEAUX...let it be known that A.C RED has been working since 2018 and this is UBISOFT QUEBEC, the same team from ODYSSEY...AND I AM ENTHUSIASTIC I TRUST THEM ...
It’s frigin great after beating it I been working on getting every achievement, doing every side quest and collectibles and trying to beat it on permadeath mode. Origins, odyssey and Valhalla were great games (minus Valhalla) but after beating the story and dlc I was too burnt out to play them anymore
I remember loving this game for about 2 days.
i feel like basim and bayek needs sequels
I agree
I remember i was hype for the game but then I was completely disappointed when it wasn't a classic AC experience.
To short , thin history , bad handling and...No bow
You must be 15 assassins creed never had a damn bow , till the trash that came out

The game was fine. It was what it was, a DLC they expanded into a $40 game.
Game is good for the price good time rich in history and overall good handling of the game, who in the fuck complains about a bow when there was never a bow in the main games
@@blake1535 Well, AC3 had a bow, but I'm assuming he's talking aboit the RPG creeds' bow mechanics... which is preserved in the throwing knife mechanics in Mirage

I just bought this game for my birthday, a week ago on Wednesday as I'm making this comment, and I already am vibing with it more than I thought I would. I hope the most recent update isn't the final one. Even if it's just more QoL updates and other outfits. I'd like it to have more.
Valhalla is by far the best Assassin's Creed.
Just lend tgis game from a friend, let’s try it out. First 5 missions were quite nice for me.
If you own Odyssey/Origins, there is no reason to buy this game. It's just a reskin, a bad one
It’s on sale for 22€ I just bought it… instantly seeing the movement it gave me old AC vibes, I was on the fence but I’m sold
This game is terrible, all these people in the comments are actually delusional
Nice arguments.
weep
Had a lot of fun with it , & it contained a lot of the things I needed unlike the previous 2 AC games
- stealth
- good story with conspiracies
- parkour ?
- stealth again
The combat was horrible
These comments helped me make my decision. I havent enjoyed ac games since Unity! Im more of a AC1&2 type player so to hear this game(Mirage) gives that same feel...im buyin rn while its on sale😎Thanks for the content
5/10 game at absolute best case
Only things I liked about it is Timeline and where it’s set, Middle East especially during Medieval time is perfect setting for an AC game but that’s all they did good, Basim as a protagonist is bland af, most side characters are forgettable, dialogues and Voice acting is abysmal, facial features especially during cutscenes is even worse than voice acting, combat is very basic, not enough weapons, Parkour is decent that I would give them
I wna see a modern assassin creed game.
I hated the combat so much
I completely disagree
@@MrTrueCaller619 fr the game was great
This has been said, and true, of every one after black flag. Poverty franchise lmao
This is one of my best AC! The parkour is not Unity master piece but... exploring Bagdad? 100 hours for me! Bravo Bordeaux!
Outside the city everything was boring for me
I honestly don’t know why it gets lots of hate. It’s honestly really good and feels like an actual assassins creed game
I had difficulty with the immersion
Really good game overall, the stealth is so much fun and good parkour as well
I don’t understand how you can be satisfied with a game that’s nothing but a copy paste from the last 10 years. We are talking about a game that looks worse graphically than black flag on PS3
Copy Paste is just simply untrue, but okay
Also looks worse than black flag lmao? Sure okay keep spewing the same talking points your favorite gaming “journalists” because it’s really showing all of us how much of a true individual you are
You are absolutely delusional if you think Black Flag looks better in any way, shape, or form. I just played both and while I love Black Flag, the Anvil Engine looks WORLDS better in Mirage. Also, this game was based on the core code of Valhalla, yet they managed to do significantly better with this game than with Valhalla.
Once I customized all of my controller bindings to run more like older AC games, this game was an awesome nice step in the right direction 🔥
Overpriced dlc not a full game.
I just started playing AC Origins again. Such a great open world game like all the other Assassin Creeds
Mirage is worse than Origins
ODYSSEY BEST GAME EVEEER MADE😂😂😂...and next ASSASSIN is made UBISOFT QUEBEC...(A.C RED) and I am excited after played ODYSSEY 3000h
I wish they would revisit the Templar idea. Rogue was so cool and had such an awesome concept.
I'm a fan since the first game and played them all - for me, Mirage is one of the best ones, specially after the Valhalla desaster (just my opinion).
Haven’t bought a AC game since unity. This game brought me back to the franchise. I liked it.
One of my favourite AC games! if you play it in altairs robes and go slow it captures the og AC feeling very well!
