I finally had enough to purchase the game recently only to find that it doesn't run on my laptop. It's annoying really, but I'm not going to refund the game, if I even can do that. I like to support games that do what I want to see, which is what AC Mirage does mostly. The stealth, listening to the community, setting, and story of the game are reasons I decided to purchase the game.
You'll eventually play it when you get a better rig. Mirage performs quite well. Never experienced any crashes with this game (unlike Valhalla, crashed like 10 times).
For me It is not as good as the old legends of course But It is a good assassin game nonetheless if we consider it going through dumpster fired like Odyssey or Valhalla which were criticised for not being Assassin enough Truth be told yes, the story of we playing as Loki reincarnated and we can teleport and stuff does put off the vibe. But I walk in hoping for an Assassin game And I close my eyes to all that bad stuff and it actually delivered, a story which I get to play as some dude, taken in the brotherhood, trained and slowly move up their ranks If we go by that, it actually delivered us a well assassin game
Refunded it Day one after playing 1 hour. Its on for $30 something canadian right now, so I think I'll grab it now. No ubi game is worth full price, ever.
The unfortunate reality of Assassin's Creed as a series is that *every* single game falls short in some way. This series has so much unreached potential that no game ever fully achieves. This series never got it's Arkham City, or it's Spiderman Web of Shadows, so to speak. Thus this series is one to be tolerated, never celebrated, because of how much you have to endure to enjoy it. (bugs, wonky control schemes, antiquated systems, broken/unpolished mechanics, backwards evolution, an overarching narrative that's lost it's way, an executive team that's too scared to fail and too driven by numbers/investors and not enough by genuine player feedback, etc) Another long winded way of saying if you really like AC then yes play Mirage. Price be damned. Vote with your wallet. Tell Ubi this is what we want. They (the execs making decisions) don't care about our complaining, they care about numbers.
The game was okay. It was more like a dlc for me. And I don’t really like Basim as the main character after everything he did in Ac Valhalla. I just bought it because I like the AC games 🤷🏻♀️I would not play it again.
I like 10th century Norway England Ireland France Vineland and VALHALLA assassins creed game But we need a sequel to mirage and it won’t follow basim it would follow hytham a few years after meetin basim makin him same age as basim in the beginnin of mirage and gets trained by basim Also could make a prequel to mirage and Valhalla you play as Sigurd and in that we’d meet basim and basim tries to recruit Sigurd obviously that doesn’t workout cause we know Sigurd doesn’t join then he give evior the blade
Don’t believe the hype. Stealth is not great. If the game is on sale then maybe it’s worth it but I honestly wouldn’t recommend the game. Especially if you haven’t played the others because better games worth your money. Short game. Basim is not the same as he is in Valhalla his origins story are boring. Parkour is mid but still fun and playable. The combat is awful and the game is meant to be played primarily in stealth but the stealth isn’t good. Slow assassination animations. No cover system. Chain assassination doesn’t work unless you chain with a throwing knife. Social stealth is mid. The only useful things are the tools as the core mechanics kind of make the game unplayable.
I’ve been playing AC Mirage for the first time recently and I think it is a great return in the right direction as someone who supports ac no matter what but I truly have been really enjoying this game and think it is a great back to its roots game
I would say yes and no. If you expect a story flow from Valhalla, than you will be massively disappointed. But if you cut this loose, it’s a pretty solid and good game to grab on sale day 🤷♂️
Something about this game just couldn’t keep my attention, I honestly have no clue why but I’ve tried to play it 4 separate times now and I usually get to the point where I’ve completed the second investigation quest line and I just lose all interest and desire to keep playing.
Great game. It’s Ubisoft saying yes we still know how to make Assassin games. But are they going to learn from their time making Mirage and focus on these things in their other games? Who knows. AC in the gaming industry has become exactly just as lost as Star Wars in the film industry. And just like Disney, Ubisoft is a snake and tries to trick players with bait and switch / nostalgia bait tactics into sticking with the series.
One of best assassins creed games in awhile, gameplay was a lot of fun had the best stealth, story was mid and setting was good feels a lot like ac 1 a great return to the roots!
@@darknesswave100 agreed same! That is the way to play. I enjoy the open combat in assassins creed as well don’t get me wrong but if that’s all you want to do there’s better games for that like shadow of war. Assassins creed is the king of stealth
I have to say fair enough to people enjoying this game i tryed my best to get into it but i found it was the most boring game i have ever played not just ac but any game of any genre think i done 3 missions before deleting it and getting a refund wouldnt play it if ubisoft payed me
Another thing I went back to play the ezio collection and I find everything in ac2 is a million times better than this these games have completely fallen off since around syndicate
While Mirage did deliver on the bare minimum feel for an Assassin's Creed game (assassins robes, parkour, killing templars), I feel that it was really far from a "return to roots" and was lacking in so much. The entire section where Basim is training with Roshan always bugs me because the minute he dives into the sea, the next moment, he is a few days into training. A lot of the "training" was basically just a cutscene montage too. I felt the entire thing was a wasted opportunity. Basim was a street thief who believed in justice for those stomped on, I want to know what the Creed and being an assassin means to him. It was all such a waste. Basim also doesn't really learn anything or change as a person (I'm not talking about discovering the ginni loki thingy) The parkour, while a slight improvement from Valhalla and aided by the setting, is by no means a "return to roots". People always say that the parkour should follow Unity's but I beg to differ. Unity's parkour was flashy, but the player control and freedom was terrible. If anything, a true return to roots would have followed the parkour mechanics of AC1-ACR. Then, to improve it, add the flashiness of Unity. As for the story, I felt it was meh at best. Basim's goal is discovering about the Ginni but honestly, I felt that should have been an entire side content/DLC. What made the story of Altair, Ezio and Edward so compelling was discovering what the Creed means to them, what being an assassin means to them, how their lives have changed as a result and how they changed lives as Assassins. Mirage was a perfect opportunity for this as Basim is a street thief. He looks up to the Hidden Ones as people who fight for the oppressed. There are times where he (and Nehal) questions the Creed which I really like, but I wish that had more of an impact and role in the story. Stealth I feel is the only thing I really liked about Mirage. For those who are considering getting Mirage, I feel you will enjoy it if you just like the bare minimum feel of being an Assassin, without caring for good writing (You would prob like Unity or Syndicate too to an extend)
The game is definitely my favorite since Syndicate. Stealth, the city, a focus on real History again. Story was OK but the ending blew me away. I also don’t think its a short game. I saw a comment once people saying they beat the game in 8 hours?!? I knew it was BS, the game is meant to be played methodically with stealth and fully explored. I 100%ed it in 55 hours
I can't complain about Mirage. I barely got 60 hours on Mirage and I'm already getting bored. It's a very shallow game, but at least it didn't cost me a fortune..... and it was available on PS4.
Atleast I can definitely say, I RESPECT "UBISOFT BORDEAUX" because of how they try to go back to what the fans were asking, even with a Limited budget..
People hate on this game for NO REASON ( apart from the combat ) like, the Teleporation ability. You have the option to not use it at all. and honestly its really cool, and useful. This game is just beautiful, with the attention to detail including its Azan. Ive also gotten the Deluxe edition for 30 dollars.
I played Mirage and moved on. For me as a long time AC fan I just felt like the overall quality and story is mid at best. This game convinced me to never buy another Ubisoft game at full price… unless the reviews are off the charts.
I really don’t understand why everyone says stealth is good in this game when it s actually awful. Enemy AI is dumb af you can assassinate next to them and they wont notice you somehow, they dont hear anything, social stealth didn t work for me, everytime, even tho i was blended in within the group the guards still attacked me. The parkour is janky and slow, i actually enjoyed valhalla parkour more. Mirage’s parkour drives me crazy sometimes with Basim running in place, not finding a place for his hands on buildings wasting time jumping around everywhere but where i want him to
The multiple takedown thing is basically Batman Arkham fear takedown where you could take down like six enemies at once except he just knocked them out, but basim would kill them lol 😂 going from vahalla to mirage was like night day on the scale They’re both beautiful games and I love norse the mythology kinda got lost all the story, but I actually recently went back to go play Valhalla cause I forgot some storyline stuff so I went back to figure out some stuff a little bit better in mirage before I progressed further. - every once in a while, I’ll play the DLC of the Valhalla just to get a different thought process on God of war Ragnarok and the diffrent depictions of Norse mythology but mirage was cool he definitely don’t feel invincible in the beginning, especially
Something about this game just couldn’t keep my attention, I honestly have no clue why but I’ve tried to play it 4 separate times now and I usually get to the point where I’ve completed the second investigation quest line and I just lose all interest and desire to keep playing.
Honestly, if they called the Hidden Ones "Assassins" and the Order "Templars," I think people would actually like it more lol. A think a lot of what AC fans _want_ can be quite shallow.
Did you know you can add subtitles in the built-in subtitles feature in RUclips? Not everyone will want subtitles on, so adding them in part of the video is not a good idea. Especially animating ones which are unnecessary and quite distracting.
My introduction to AC was Valhalla. It is an awesome game that one never seems to compete fully with all the side things going on plus the vast maps. Some of which is way to difficult to complete even on the easiest setting. With Mirage it is a case of, ‘Is that it?’ I can’t find the last shard to discover what is hidden in the cave despite eons of searching and if I did eventually find it I would probably repeat my words’ is that it?’ Maybe once I find the final shard more things open up on the to do page but all in all very disappointed how brief the game is compared to Valhalla. Would have been nice to have a bow and arrow.

Unlike Valhalla / Unity / origins and some of the AC series are just “Fantasies”
Only mirage and AC1 is somehow historically accurate
I'm enjoying it but I wouldn't recommend it to anybody who wasn't a hardcore fan of the franchise. I find movement in parkour to be a lot jankier than some of the other titles though, but I enjoy just exploring Baghdad and collecting stuff well enough
Shadows won't be any better
Ubisoft bordeaux did a decent job despite everything, one more year of development and mirage would have been a great ac
No you shouldn't buy the game glitches on the last mission and then your stuck without anyway of doing anything the creed chick your suppose to kill get stuck in the hideout and boom games over no way to go back cus the game auto zones every minute for some dumb ass reason ,cod is garbage now even storyline games are gltiching and broking smh don't buy this game unless you want to waste 15 hours doing everything just to be left on the last mission
I really liked this game after not liking the last few feels great to play as an assassin.
Black flag was my favorite game of all time odyssey was my favorite kill everybody game and mirage and unity were my favorite stealth games
It was good. Plain and simple. Thank god it was shorter than the last 3.
Another W vid from the goat.
No u should not play
Just what we need in gaming right now
Politics and sociopolitical jargon,i dont like escaping in my escapism or fun in the product CALLED A GAME
The "fans" ,"normies"and the "pre order collector" if you pre order a game you are ridiculously blind, never IN 40 YEARS have i ever ran into a game not being instock at a game store lmao never, why? Because it never happens lol
And ESPECIALLY IF YOU ARE BUYIN DIGITAL (WHICH IS A WHOLE OTHER PROBLEM) WHY DO YOU PRE ORDER DIGITAL GAMES, BRO LETTING EVERY CORPORATE ENTITY IN THE WORLD , INTO GAMING WAS THE WORST DECISION FOR GAMING AS A WHOLE
ALSO FOR THAT MATTER, WHERE DID THIS " THE CURRENT FAN BASE DOESN'T WANT WOMEN PLAYING THE GAME" COME FROM LMAO HAHHAHAH
FIRST AND FOREMOST NEVER HEARD ANYONE EVER SAY"OMG ITS A GIRL ,GET HER" IN FACT MOST ACTUAL GAMER NERDS DONT GET ALOT OF FEMALE INTERACTION AND WELCOME ALL THAT COMES THEIR WAY, NO
THESE COMPANIES KNEW THEY COULD GET THE NORMIES INTO GAMING , IN FACT THAT IS THE DEMOGRAPHIC THEY MARKET TO IN TODAYS GAME CLIMATE
AND ALL THEY HAD TO DO TO TAKE IT FROM GAMERS (NOT THE GIRLS THESE COMPANIES HARNESSING YOUR INSECURITIES,AND "MORALS" TO GET AS MANY CUSTOMERS AS POSSIBLE, FROM ALL TYPES OF PPL, SO THEY HAVE TO WATER DOWN AND BECOME FLAT,HAVING TO DO WHAT IS POPULAR TO MAXIMIZE PROFITS EFFECTIVELY NEGATING EVERYTHING THAT MADE IT SO GOOD)ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS CALL
QUALITY CONTROL
GATEKEEPING,
Don't mean to say ac mirage is bad but didn't Sucker Punch have less developers (160) and objectively made a better game?
I finally had enough to purchase the game recently only to find that it doesn't run on my laptop. It's annoying really, but I'm not going to refund the game, if I even can do that. I like to support games that do what I want to see, which is what AC Mirage does mostly. The stealth, listening to the community, setting, and story of the game are reasons I decided to purchase the game.
You'll eventually play it when you get a better rig. Mirage performs quite well. Never experienced any crashes with this game (unlike Valhalla, crashed like 10 times).
This part! Voting with your wallet is so important
No offense but the company gets the money, not the people who actually made the game
@@felixgeorgescu2230 well, to an extent yeah, but more sales can show consumers want more of that thing 🤷
@@Reditect I guess you're right as well
About the eject problem that sometimes they work and sometimes not instead of using X try using ⭕ (the circle)
For me
It is not as good as the old legends of course
But
It is a good assassin game nonetheless if we consider it going through dumpster fired like Odyssey or Valhalla which were criticised for not being Assassin enough
Truth be told yes, the story of we playing as Loki reincarnated and we can teleport and stuff does put off the vibe. But I walk in hoping for an Assassin game
And I close my eyes to all that bad stuff and it actually delivered, a story which I get to play as some dude, taken in the brotherhood, trained and slowly move up their ranks
If we go by that, it actually delivered us a well assassin game
Refunded it Day one after playing 1 hour. Its on for $30 something canadian right now, so I think I'll grab it now. No ubi game is worth full price, ever.
The unfortunate reality of Assassin's Creed as a series is that *every* single game falls short in some way. This series has so much unreached potential that no game ever fully achieves. This series never got it's Arkham City, or it's Spiderman Web of Shadows, so to speak. Thus this series is one to be tolerated, never celebrated, because of how much you have to endure to enjoy it. (bugs, wonky control schemes, antiquated systems, broken/unpolished mechanics, backwards evolution, an overarching narrative that's lost it's way, an executive team that's too scared to fail and too driven by numbers/investors and not enough by genuine player feedback, etc)
Another long winded way of saying if you really like AC then yes play Mirage.
I like 10th century Norway England Ireland France Vineland and VALHALLA assassins creed game
But we need a sequel to mirage and it won’t follow basim it would follow hytham a few years after meetin basim makin him same age as basim in the beginnin of mirage and gets trained by basim
Also could make a prequel to mirage and Valhalla you play as Sigurd and in that we’d meet basim and basim tries to recruit Sigurd obviously that doesn’t workout cause we know Sigurd doesn’t join then he give evior the blade
i literally bought Mirage months ago, but i am still trying to finish Odyssey... i am really glad Mirage is suppose to be alot smaller.
it's for sale for $24 on the Xbox store! I'm not too impressed by shadows.
Do an all games ranked please 🙏
I’ve been playing AC Mirage for the first time recently and I think it is a great return in the right direction as someone who supports ac no matter what but I truly have been really enjoying this game and think it is a great back to its roots game
I would say yes and no.
If you expect a story flow from Valhalla, than you will be massively disappointed.
But if you cut this loose, it’s a pretty solid and good game to grab on sale day 🤷♂️
First half was really awesome but second half was boring and story dulled out . Gameplay was quite good.Should be more story focused.
Something about this game just couldn’t keep my attention, I honestly have no clue why but I’ve tried to play it 4 separate times now and I usually get to the point where I’ve completed the second investigation quest line and I just lose all interest and desire to keep playing.
The only bad thing about the stealth is the detection system, the enemies are so stupid
Can you do some nexus content plz
I absolutely loved playing Mirage, easily my favorite AC game I’ve played
love the direction. Stealthhh.
Just got master assassin edition for 45
Yes
There is pickpocketing in ac3, you can even pickpocket sand and milk there
Only an hour in, so I can't judge yet. The knockout animation looks bad
i cant play this games anymore, moving just feels so clumsy, it needs a complete different engine.
I changed the button mapping to be like the og games & it’s so much better
Game lack mystery and more power tools like a bowl.kinda slow and boring
Uses the same engine as valhalla, somehow it's a better rpg, ac game than a bigger game.
Game is amazing don’t listen to the trolls ubisoft made a amazing game
If you like playing 7/10 games then yes
is it worth to play origins in 2024 for 8 euros
Why not? It on sale regularly and it dirt cheap
One of best assassins creed games in awhile, gameplay was a lot of fun had the best stealth, story was mid and setting was good feels a lot like ac 1 a great return to the roots!
Agree with everything but you forgot the combat, I wonder why😅
@@matteolefevre9514 you don't want to go full combat as an assassin
@@darknesswave100 agreed same! That is the way to play. I enjoy the open combat in assassins creed as well don’t get me wrong but if that’s all you want to do there’s better games for that like shadow of war. Assassins creed is the king of stealth
the likes on this video at 27/6/2024.
Basim also doesn't really learn anything or change as a person (I'm not talking about discovering the ginni loki thingy)
The parkour, while a slight improvement from Valhalla and aided by the setting, is by no means a "return to roots".
Can't complain...
Then complains...
@@chicken31947 I said this game is unfinished, hence the price. There are no flaws in it.
loved mirage assassins creed should go back to this no more rpg openworld
Please the rpg open world is where it's at. Games that have next to no time to play is just a waste of money.
Atleast I can definitely say, I RESPECT "UBISOFT BORDEAUX" because of how they try to go back to what the fans were asking, even with a Limited budget..
People hate on this game for NO REASON ( apart from the combat )
like, the Teleporation ability. You have the option to not use it at all. and honestly its really cool, and useful.
This game is just beautiful, with the attention to detail including its Azan.
Ive also gotten the Deluxe edition for 30 dollars.
It’s way too early to be doing videos like this, for Mirage. The game is the latest in the franchise, so, it’s probably what people will play anyhow.
