- I am not an early morning person. However early morning is the best time for a great motorbike ride through Bangkok. Join me as I head out at 7am on a Sunday morning on my Honda ADV 160 motorbike to give you a tour of sleepy Bangkok, Thailand. This is the best time to go as there are so few cars and people on the road. You can see this giant city waking up as you cruise through town. We will visit many different places on this motorbike tour. I have been wanting to ride through Bangkok on a early Sunday morning for quite some time. Come along for a fun early morning ride!

I really hope you keep doing these motorcycle tours as a regular segment. This was so freaking cool.
Oh yes! That’s the plan. I’m glad you liked it.
If you travel by motorcycle in this Bangkok city. You will enter the next level of adventure mode. It's like you're opening up a new perspective in a corner that you've never been to or didn't know before. Because traveling local city doesn't have the BTS or MRT that can be easily reached like in the city that normal tourists are used to. Bangkok is a city where motorbike riding is fun if there is no traffic jams.
It’s also quite dangerous. Lol.
@@LifewithSerg 😂
I've spent a few months in Bangkok overall and you showed several things I have never seen before even in the first few mins of your drive. I love the camera angles and narration. That is SO HARD to do while driving and you make it seamless. Loved this!
This is one of the main reasons I didn’t buy a motorcycle, and went for an automatic scooter. That way I can record as a go. Glad you enjoyed this video!
Judging by the number of cameras that you're loaded with there Serg; if you're ever in an accident then there's a strong chance that you'll capture evidence of who's fault it is!!
Lmao. It’s just my phone and the 360 camera. And of course of my luck I would probably have them both off during the accident. Lol.
@@LifewithSerg😂😂😢
The 360 degree camera 📷 has a global views 👏 and offer a wider range surroundings you Serg...the almost empty roads make your biking in the city a breeze...especially on long holidays...stay safe my friend..thanks for sharing this vblog with us 🎉😂
That was an excellent ride video. Thanks for taking us along Serg!
My pleasure!
Please post more videos like this! Thanks Serg!
Ah yes. More coming. Leaving on a great trip next week.
"right now I've no idea where I'm going...." typical Sergi advanture...😆😄
Just you wait until you see how lost I get on this long trip I’m planning for next month. 😊😂
I love your new cameras. Thanks for the vids Serg!
I’m glad you enjoyed this video. I have a long trip planned for next month.
It's nice seeing so much more of Bangkok via your motorbike trips. This highlights some interesting places to visit.
Call Jeff make some more of these. Plus next month. I’m going on a much longer trip so that should be a lot of fun.
I was really surprised by the traffic today. It was really good. Enjoy what you discovered along the way. I can't wait for the next motorbike video exploring another place. I love it.
I’m glad you enjoyed it! There will be a long motorbike tour series coming next month.
You’ve really come up with some super , crazy, tricky camera shots and angles!!! I still watch the motor bike with one eye closed!! LOL 😮
Glad you like them!
Thanks for sharing! Never seen the streets of Bangkok that quiet!
Exactly! Imagine if I wasn’t super lazy and actually left at 6 AM like I had originally planned. Lol.
I’ll try and make a few more of these. There’s so many other areas of Bangkok I can go and explore early morning.
thanks for the early morning tour, best time of the day for sight seeing.
It absolutely is! Next time I will have to do this much earlier
Surreal stuff man, blasting through the market🎉. Supercool video, you made my day.
Glad yon enjoyed it. Was only going 13-15 KPH through market. The 360° camera makes it look so fast.
Wow!! It was a fun ride going through roads and alleys in BKK. I like it sooo much.
More to come.
First time I've seen Chinatown without the shops commandeering half the sidewalks. Great tour video.
You are so right! And thank you for becoming a member. I really appreciate your support.
You passed near Saxophone Pub (Victory Monument)... if you haven't been there, it's awesome. Great video, as usual.
There is some kind of a Thai bar that I’ve been to near victory monument that overlooks the BTS. I really liked the vibe there.
0:10 Mon Oct 23rd, 2023. Great Morning to you Serg from Gilbert Arizona USA. I just love watching your videos. Wow I can't believe those people were still out partying, crazy 😂. It really looks like you're living your dream in Thailand. Doing everything YOU WANT TO DO. And on your time, relatively. Except for appointments what not. Like today. There are so many places to see and eat. Great little tour 🎉 Healthy Blessings as always. Just a pop today is my 20th year anniversary. Have a great day, until your next adventure and I can't wait, because I love your videos. Till then ❤🎉😊 12:19
Congratulations on your anniversary! Thank you as always for your support. I hope you have a wonderful day.
Sooo cool the video ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
I did a similar ride on Saturday night! Love riding through Bangkok, especially when the traffic isn't too crazy
This is my first time riding this early through Bangkok. I think 6 AM would’ve been even better. I’ll have to do this again.
@@LifewithSerg 6 AM is pretty much a myth for me. I'm not used to seeing Sukhumvit like that though during daylight so, maybe that needs to change!
Nice tour!
I just wish I would’ve gotten up earlier and left at six instead of seven. Glad you enjoyed this.
Nice bike tour in BKK Sunday morning. Thanks for the ride. Can't wait for the next clip.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Have a great day Serg.
You too!
That was a thrill ride! 😂 Thanks Serg!
It looked a lot faster than it was. The 360 camera definitely added a whole different speed element. Lol.
@@LifewithSerg Thanks 👍
Nice video Serg! With the 360 camera curving the edges of the pictures it looked like you were flying thru the narrow alleyways
Do you know when I watch the back of my big screen TV I realize how fast it looked. The 360 camera made it look like I was hauling ass when in fact, I was probably going 10 or 15 km an hour.
Nice video the 360angle cam shot looks fab!! 3:20 not another overpass instead it’s future subway station purple line go down south to bangkrachao area😁
Hi! Thanks for letting me know what that was!
Nice ride. I am not a morning person either. Take care!
Thanks! You too!
I got to say I like that insta360 one inch :D you get to see so much more and it is like riding with you :)
There are quite a few other shots that I wanted to take, but my brain wasn’t awake. I’m definitely going to use the camera sparingly, because I don’t want to turn into a total gimmick.
@@LifewithSerg I know that feeling too well. that is one of the things I like with 360 like when I am out fishing and I know I am coming towards a great spot I just push record and let the camera do it's thing :) no worries if it is in shot or not. I like to see more of it and it is your channel so I am thankful for any video you make my friend.
driving through the market is like the opening scene to Naked Gun I was waiting for Serg to drive through someone's living room, women's locker room and bunch of chicken feathers , Serg needs an blue light to complete the package haha
Ha ha ha. Although I was only going 10 to 12 km/h, the 360 camera makes it look like I was going much quicker.
I have seen you several times on the street but decided not to say hi, keep the videos coming.
Lol. Feel free to say hello. In don’t bite. 😅
Awesome ride in the morning, you captured most of the key neighborhoods in one ride…I don’t venture that far from my neighborhood on Linchee road at that time of the morning, its usually the time we feed the monks
There are so many other areas that I can cover. This was such a fun ride for me. I’m glad you enjoyed it as well.
I’ll be hoping to do the same this Sunday !!
Do it!
It’s surprising how quiet BKK can be if you go out at the right time. Really enjoyed the tour around town and look at you Serg driving like a local 😊😊 there is no one way street for motorcycles 😂😂😂 any way will do
If I hadn’t been riding motorcycles for 30 years, I don’t think I would feel as comfortable as I do here in Bangkok. It’s still sketchy AF to ride in this city. Lol
3:20 that's the MRT Purple Line Southern Extension.
Several other people mentioned that. I appreciate everyone’s input to let me know what it is.
The road construction you mentioned before Kaw San rd. is for the purple line train.
Aha! Thank you for letting me know!
I thought you probably get lost lol and yes you did but that the fun of it getting lost and seeing what is out there
Always a good time
Nice tour around Serge, I bet you were nearly rear ended by the tuk tuk at the end as you'd stopped in the left turn lane . As I'm sure you know in Thailand they treat all left turns as a go when safe regardless of the traffic lights 😂. Keep the vids coming mate 👍
Ooops. I did not know that. Now I do. Thank you very much!
Actually, about the Left Turn issue, it is stated in the law that all left turn are through traffic except for a traffic sign stated otherwise. When I took driving test more than 30 years ago, The first test was a Fail because I paused at the left turn at the cross section. The examiner, who failed my test, stated that I was supposed to take the left turn without any pause. It is required.
Gold mountain Wat Saket man made from old brick bought from ancient town. I think it made around 200 years ago.
It’s quite old. I actually made a video about it about eight or nine months ago.
I would love getting a motorbike one day and just cruise around...
You totally should!
very nice video
Thank you.
The construction site before Khaosan road is the new purple line. A month ago we took a walk there with Pat.
Ahh nice.
I think the stadium at EmSphere is expected to have a capacity of 6,000 and not 50,000. As a result, the traffic issues should be 88% less than you may have anticipated.
You know, I totally made that up because I couldn’t remember the exact number and it was too early in the morning. Lol. 😂😅
Well it's thanks to you Serg I am now an own of a Honda ADV but unlike you I have gone with the Big Brother ADV 350 as the Wife and I are going to do a lot of touring around Thailand on it just had a Shad 59X topbox fitted yesterday after picking up the bike from the dealer it has to go back for more saddle bags and crash bars to be fitted to it
For two people the 160 is definitely not a good touring bike. Sounds like you’re gonna have some wonderful trips on it! Rde safe and enjoy.
I was expecting you would ride through the Grand palace. 😗
I wish!
Never knew BKK roads can be this empty, nowadays. One good thing of riding motorbike is you can go anywhere cars can't go, but it is also dangerous 😨
Yes have to be careful
Next time during Rush hour more fun 😊
Ha ha. Rush hour is fun!
คุณขับมอเตอร์ไซค์เก่งมากนะ😊😊😊😊❤❤
Love to ride!
Respect on the driving and angles etc. I love riding my motorcycles back in the US but I'm terrified of bangkok traffic even though I have a prof. driver license and have even driven for courier companies like FedEx in the past. I just don't think I would feel comfortable driving especially with the heat with all the gear on, airflow can only do so much. lol
By covering your skin, you’re preventing, sunburn, sheet exhaustion, and also just a constant heating of the skin surface. But wearing jacket and pants, I’m actually staying much cooler than if I was in shorts and a T-shirt. But yes, Bangkok is a crazy place to ride, and drive.
Nice. Would have been helpful if you showed a map every little while with a progress line on it for the whole tour
That is a great idea. I just finally switched from editing all my videos on my iPhone to a laptop. Give me some time to get the hang of the editing software, and I will start including such things for now, as in every one of my videos, the Google Maps links are in the written description
🎉🎉🎉🎉
หนูชอบหมวกกันนีอคที่คุณไส่
เท่มากเลยคะ
I like to protect my head. Lol.
Superb footage what camera set up are you using
All of my videos are shot with my iPhone 13 Pro Max. In the last two motorbike videos, I’ve also used an Insta 360 RS One 1 Inch camera.
@@LifewithSerg excellent video enjoyed it 👍
รถสวยมากครับ❤
Thank you, I love it
Very good channel. New Sub!
What is the brand & model of your helmet ?
This was a Daddy Adventure Mod helmet. My new one is a Caberg Horus. Thanks for the sub.
เอฟซีครับ
Thank you!
That was a very “white knuckled” ride along. I just knew any moment you were going to plow into a poor Thai soul as you “threaded the needle” in those tight fitting allies. 😂😂😂
The 360 camera made it look like I was going so fast through there. When I watched on my big TV, I knew people are gonna think that I was speeding through there. However, I never went over 15 or 20 km an hour through there. It just looks fast.
I like your adventure in bangkok. Please drive carefully.
I certainly will.
Nice :)
Thanks for the visit
That would be Democracy Monument. It is where the Amazing Thailand marathon ends
Ah yes. I always forget the name. Ha ha
wow Ikea downtown. I think the old one is quite far out - went there once.. Progress is relentless in BKK
There are two other ones, but they’re not near the center. I will definitely stay away from this new IKEA for the first few months. I think it will be so very busy.
Yeh for sure. Strange place to put it really given the traffic.@@LifewithSerg
It's not a big Ikea, it's an Ikea City, located in the mall. They only sell the small stuff there, for furniture you will still have to go to the big ones on the edges of BKK.
How is the bike now, you got the 160? Can’t recall from the other video where you were breaking it in.
It’s got almost 500 km on it now. Love it. I’m gonna get the oil change next week and then sometime in the first or second week of November. I’m going to head out on a three week trip.
❤❤❤❤ว้าว
เยียมเลย❤❤❤👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks!
3 days iong weekend, less traffic, ..super fun ride but watch out n take care++
Yes, I think it was the perfect day and time to go do it. Glad you enjoyed it.
Hello!
Hello!
You look like mario on track 😅😅😅
Ha ha.
The iPhone cant really handling it when you drive. How about a Gopro or something similiar? 😊
Actually, it’s has done a great job. All of my motorbike trips or films was just an iPhone. I don’t like go pros. Maybe I’ll get one of the DJI units one day. I’m in no rush. I want to keep it simple
@@LifewithSergsure, simple is Good. But not that much extra work. Just a cable to computer. Sony zv1 seems Good.
Question, Do you have white license plate yet?
Yes! It only took a week and a half to arrive, I was shocked it was so fast.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
😊🙏👍✌️
I think you turn on high beam .
Yes! I always ride with my highbeams on during the day. It allows more visibility.
gut
Hello
So, the air is not so polluted in the morning?
It rarely is, to be honest with you. The pollution really hits during burning season.
@@LifewithSerg Thanks! I'll be in that area that you rode past, around Thanksgiving...
7 am, what kind of expat gets up at 7 am?
I swear it was an accident. It will never happen again. 🤣😂
What you are building is a subway.
Ahhh. Thanks!
I'm not sure about your driving with high beam on. In my country that would be seen as rude. I understand that the sun is bright in Thailand, but still, I don't think it's necessary.
Hello. I realize that you don’t understand why I’m doing this, but the reason I’m riding with the highbeam on during the day is for extra visibility. Has nothing to do with the sun. I will, of course turn it off at night, and when I go into tunnels. It just makes me more visible on the motorcycle.
I'm sure you are careful, so won't mention anything about that. I'm just worried about the other drivers...Matt
It’s definitely dicey here, Matt. Even though I’ve ridden motorcycles for 30 years, it took me about eight or nine months before I finally took one for a ride here in Bangkok.
🙏🙏👍👍❤🇹🇭
😊👍✌️
Democracy Monument!
Yes, of course I remembered when I get home.Ha
Serg, there’s no “V” in the Thai language; anytime something is written in English with a V, pronounce it as a W. Sukhumvit is pronounced Sukhumwit. The French were the first Colonists to travel to Thailand in any measurable number and they messed things up for the rest of us Farangs
Thanks
empty traffic , the speed can be fatal, be careful as many reckless and drunk drivers are on the loose in the morning hours too
You are 100% correct! I was definitely extra careful going through intersections.
4.24
Democracy Monument
Yep yep. I just always forget. Ha
Lots of respect for your riding skills,Take care my brother
democracy monument
Yes! I always forget the name of that monument.
Long weekend in thailand, some of people go back home or go to travel other provinces
That’s exactly why I went out on Sunday
