This is a 10 inch powered sub that means amp is built inside the box!! No other wires were needed to purchase for the install!! Everything in the box!!! 10/10 very happy!

@@jmac6631 I did! It’s not terrible but I’m just so used to putting 2 12s in everything. Definitely does enhance the bass. Not sure if it was installed totally right but maybe it needs a little tuning to sound perfect for me

I've been looking at various Shallow Mount subs w/ box and amp, enclosed units like this.. kenwood, cerwins, kicker and out of them all this one has won me over.
Gonna place an order tonight and have this installed in my 2019 Colorado in the next week or two. Can't wait.

I ordered a custom subthump box made for our trucks with a kicker shallow mount sub. The bass rocks my truck!

thank you for sharing this. i was looking at the kit that takes up the WHOLE underside of the seat. and they wanted like 700 for it. im like theres no way that its worth it and lose all storage. at least this gives some space for my emergency items and isnt ridiculously priced.

Did you have to get a output converter with the system? I just made my appointment they suggested it but im not sure if i need it i have the same stock system as yourself
No ,you just tap into the speakers (high output)

Also, did you have to relocate your jack?
Yes it does fit under front. But sticks out about half way. My jack is still there same spot

Did you use the remote wire? I installed one on my 2023 Colorado and didn’t use the remote wire used the DC option but seems like the sub/amp always stays on.
Let's hear it with the seats down and inside with the doors shut. Video doesn't really show much. Camera isn't going to pick up the sound anyway

Yea I does sound much better I also believe that if you have the Bose sound system on your Colorado I don’t think it comes with a subwoofer

I dont believe so.
Yes.. It is removable with a couple bolts and there is boxes out there that fills the entire spare. The back seat rests on top of the box and seat locks into place... Nice design and holds 2 8s or 10s but then you lose all storage for the tools need to change the spare and such.
Also like double/triple the price for that setup.
Do you have the kicker screwed down ?? So it wont move when you do turns
You can, i dont its pretty heavy and secure under my seats.

Yes it does. Nothing else was purchased.

Yes sir use it every day. No heat issues. My truck is fully tinted as well
Does the sub deliver booming bass? At least at 30z? Deep bass not just "quick PUNCH" bass butt deep rumbling booming bass.?
This thing gets down to about 10 HZ so be prepared!!

Not this one. Forsure does not need it!

Nah only powers sub. Everything else is factory.

Not at all

NVX has 2 of these an 8inch 150watts RMS and a 10inch 200watts RMS and they are ported which is a plus, I did buy the 10inch for now. My big system setup won’t get done until next year, 3 Skar Audio 8s in a ported box, Crossfire C5 Speakers in all 4 doors and a Skar Audio 5Channel. But this NVX I bought will be enough 😏
Yeah but the nvx don't sound good like the hidaways the kickers r tuned they play loud despite the small size

I had the 8 version it was OK good inside cab but it blew in 6 months going wit slim cerwin vega 200 RMS underseat sub

How does it sound and do you think Cerwin sounds better?
I heard the CVs are good but if your listening to music on a longer drive the unit over heats and thermal protection kicks in shutting the sub off... Lots of complaints online for users with the Vegas.
Also where did you go to get it set up?

What made you choose this over the Kicker VSS subwoofer upgrade?
Great question. If I remember correctly thats only an 8” sub. This one is a 10”
Did you have to get an extra battery or anything for this set up?
No your stock battery is just fine. Ive had no issues at all use it everyday.

Well its a new truck so it doesn’t rattle too much. But the bass is great. Highly recommend if you have a small space.

I have the bose and it bumps! I keep the bass up usually one notch under all the way up. Mainly cause I'm always worried of blowing one even though it sounds like they handle it well.
Would you say this is still a good sub to get if I already have the bose?
Yes 100% will definitely he able to get more bass even if you already have the bose package.
So with Rap music it sounds good. How about Metallica type music ?
Sounds great with EDM im sure metallica too

Don’t buy a kicker hideaway!!! Tech support just told me these woofers only last a couple years, and most go out within a couple weeks!
Mines been running for 2 years now on max base. No issues at all. Great sub

I use the sub with the seat down. Dont lose the back seat at all.
@@outlaw8388 does it sound muffled under the seat?? I mean no disrespect, just that sound works on a principle of vibration, and covering it, has to absorb an amazing amount of vibration and hence sound quality.
@@alliancefive846 no sounds great. Subs are usually inside of an inclosure anyways. Sounds much better than being in the back of a trunk.

@@outlaw8388 question. I just bought the kicker hideaway 10. I have a 22 Colorado with the factory Bose system. I can still run this with no issues with the factory Bose right.
