You calmed me down so much bro… I saw your comment about how yours shut off completely, mine did too. I’m waiting right now hope it turns on in 48 hours..!

It'll likely be okay if power is off immediately. #3 set to dry as he did. Dont use blow dryers or any air to dry it. It can just risk blowing water deeper into sensitive parts. Air dry for 48 hours or longer.
I spilled a cup of coffee with cream/sugar on my laptop and power went out and wouldn't start back up. I did what our IT folks did when I did this at work. I disconnecte power, wiped it dry on outside as much as possible, then placed it under a fan overnight - and prayed. Worked the next day. bro my dog peed on my keyboard and it broke. this helped thanks!
haha I'm sorry to hear that but it was pretty funny. Glad it worked!
My screen just turned off, I didn’t get the chance to shut it down is that okay???
Yeah that is actually what happened to mine. Just don't try turning it back on for 48 hours to have the best chances of it coming back.
Did it work
tysm you save my life !!!!!!
Idk what to do my laptop is sitting and drying like you showed, and i need it for school tomorrow. Im scared to say it to my parents i just pray it will work by drying it like you did
At like 1 am my water bottle spilled on my school laptop. And the today it worked ALL day until I tilted it up right at the end of school 🥲 I have a 5 paragraph essay due tomorrow 😀
i spilt water on my keyboard but not the screen today, the water went in the keyboard and i panicked i dint know what to do and it immediately turned off, what should i do without taking it to a repair shop? since my parents would kill me
I did this hours late.. it opened but some keys didn’t work and the mouse too. I regret thinking that it was okay since it was still working so I didn’t do this trick 😭
SAME
I spilled tea, hope it works.
Im panicking because i spilled water on my second laptop this year the fist one broke bec it was 7 years old i understand but i spilled water on this one and my school year just started and my parents said no to buy a new one so plz pray this works

i have a godly computer i just spilled my water all OVER it i wiped it off and it still works like a charm shut everything off and wiped it down and she still works (its the acer nitro 5)
Hi I put wine in MacBook Air and the screen of the laptop was demanded. What I should do , please help
I have speakers at the bottom and I got a little bit on water in to it
Did anyone had issues weeks or days with the macbook after trying this?
Pored a whole bottle of water on it 2 hours ago so hopefully it works
Good luck!
Did it work????
@@daniellehernandez5515 no sadly I don’t have a computer anymore
The water has been in there for months.. wil this menthod still work?
What if it got in the port before I could stop it?
It still could work, I dropped mine in a bathtub. Just turn it off as quickly as possible and put it upside down.
Mine also got water in the USB port and it turned off so I’m hoping this works
Thank you so much!🤗
Actually works
I spilt water on it, i waited like an hour and it worked but it kept turning on and off so im going to wait a bit longer, better to be safe then sorry
i did all this ... last year but it still won't turn on
I spilled a whole bowl of soup on my laptop like an idiot and now it smells, it wont turn on, and that thing cost me so much money I feel so STUPID... god I hope this works
Good luck!
@@Tristy_an I tried the tilting. It was a nice idea but it still won't turn on so now I'm trying rice. I unscrewed the bottom of it and tried to take the piece off to get the rice right by the circuits but it wouldn't come off. Ahhhh... ah well, thanks anyway.
@@jp5834 Wow, im looking for videos because i did the same thing
Worst thing is milk spilled on it WHILE I was sleeping
This is why I’m here now. I left my Starbucks drink on my my Mac. And I literally fell asleep and it spilled on my Mac overnight maybe idk then when I woke up I was like wtf is diz water came from? Am I peeing on the bed?. Then I realized jesussss my drink idk when it spills. Anw is your computer still alive ??
hii, so i spilt water on my laptop and i ran to get tissues and dried it then my parents told me to flip it so i did. then after around 1-2 hours i tried turning it on but it can’t turn on :( well before that i also tried hair drying it (which i’m kinda scared about now bc lots of people say don’t do it) and now i’m scared 😭 wish me luck 🙏🏻
I would recommend never hair drying it as that can make things worse. I would say turn it over, let it sit for 48 hours and then try turning it back on to give it time to completely dry out. Good luck!
@@Tristy_an update: so after around 10 hours or more it wouldn't turn on 😭 my parents told me to give it to the repair but should i do that after 48 hours and see or give it to the repair directly?
@@itssharl33ns10 With some of the things you already tried you may have already ruined it. Trying to turn it on too early can make it worse, which is why I recommend turning it off right away and leaving it for 48 hours without touching it to give it the best chance of drying out.
@@Tristy_an oh no 😔
@@itssharl33ns10 what happen to your laptop later? How much was that damaged?
Spilled water on my dell computer its from school also. Ill be back when i have results. Wish me luck, ill really need it
Did it work?
I spilt a good amount of water on my chrome book and did everything you said and I’m still afraid it won’t work. It’s been sitting for about 3 hours.
leave it for 48 hours before trying for the best chance
@@Tristy_an It shows that is is charging, because I wanted to see if it was short circuited but it is not. I have school tomorrow, and not sure what to do. I don’t wanna get grounded.
The light on the side is white when ever I hold down the restart buttons, glad the keyboard works. And the charger port works and the light works on the side, but the screen won’t turn on.
@@ItzAbbey The more you try tot urn it on the more likely it won't work. Unplug it and leave it overnight before trying to turn it on.
@@Tristy_an okay, I hope it’ll work tmw morning. I’m having a break down
How long should I keep it upside down I want to place it back normally so my parents don't find out
I would recommend 48 hours
@@Tristy_an I just turned my computer on now and it was working fine but I immediately turned it back off should I continue to use it or wait a bit longer?
@@traveler1318 the longer you wait the better chance you have of it working, but after 48 hours you should be good.
@@Tristy_an ok thank you my computer is working fine now but the fan is louder than usual and there were some glitches but they went away. What should I do about the fan situation
@@traveler1318 I'm not sure about that. Hope it goes away and if not you may have to take it into an expert.
I did this and it worked but 1 or 2 weeks after I did it my laptop didn’t turn on I checked the outlet and the charger and they both worked what should I do?
Either take it to a computer repair place or buy a new computer. Something must have gotten damaged too much, it could simply be a the charger port, the batter, or something else that may be able to be fixed or it could just be broken.
So ur telling me this mans laptop falls in a bath and it still works but when I spill a cup of water on it mine just dont work no more
science be crazy, sorry bro.
Gonna try this tonight, everybody pray for me please😭🙏🏾
my laptop wont turn on its been 2 days

Did it work?
I spilt water on it but it went into the screen part
what if it’s dried but still not turning back on
if its been over 24 hours its probably gone at that point. Best thing to do would be to salvage the hard drive and get a new computer.
@@Tristy_an see it’s charging but it’s not turning back on
@@Hibz419 Good luck with it! Maybe leave it overnight upside down still and see how it goes.
@@Tristy_an THANK YOU SO MUCH IT TURNED BACK ON it’s lagging a little i obviously expect that but thank you
@@Tristy_an if it turns back on is it normal for the fan to be on or no?
I spilled tea on mine. I’ve taken the back off & tried to use a dryer. The on switch is lighting up but the screen isn’t coming on. I will leave it to drain & dry out some more & hopefully it will come on. It was working fine just before I took the back off it. 🤦🏻♀️ I hope it work 🙏🏻
Good luck! Just a tip, using a dryer can make it worse so if it ever happens again don't do that.
Hey, I’m trying to get my battery out but I can’t, so I just unscrewed my battery and it’s in my laptop, but unscrewed, I also used my hair dryer. I really hope it works
Using a hair dryer probably made it worse. It is best to let it air dry (or use rice) when possible.
@@Tristy_an it still hasn’t turned on yet, I also used the hair dryer immediately and then dried it the whole time. Is there any other thing to do after 6 hours?
@@Tristy_an my dad used hair dryer all over it, and it started working. Thank you for this tut tho!
@@jumpedcloth5768 hey! This happened to me in the morning and the water was inside the screen so when I got back my dad got the hairdryer and put it in the charger and my chromebook started working

but my keys won't work cause water already got into them
Laptop manufactures must give something which protects atleast water proof for 1 hr so if accidents happen can be recovered
It works for me but some of the keys don’t work
thank you so munch i though my laptop was broken
I spilled water on the keyboard. I turned it off, and cleaned it. But then I turned it on again to see if it was working, I did this for like 10 minutes. I then completely turned it off and im leaving it to dry for 3 days. Do you think it will still work knowing I turned it off and back on?
theres always a chance but it just depends on how far in the water got
@@Tristy_an if anything, can a technician fix any type of damage? Or are there certain typed of damaged that arent fixable?
