Glad it worked well for ya. I'm pretty much going to do the same build but without the linear actuator and I'll cut the shaft down some. How do you like your Lowrance Hook2? I'm happy with mine. A local pro has actually mapped all our small local reservoirs so I was able to download them for free from CMap social maps and load them onto my Hook2. It's really nice having detailed contour maps while fishing. The maps are dead on accurate too. Tight lines buddy!

Nice video....I just got the vmax 50 ah lithium and I love that thing. I just upload that review. I just built a variable pwm speed controller and went on the first test run. I am about to upload that video. The results were ridiculously good. The energy savings with the Pulse modulator is great. Something to consider.

I would def. get a higher amp hour for longer time on water, 35 amp hour × the amps of your motor speed determines the run time, just incase you didnt know !
I like the motor mount it reminds me of the t back mounts I made in 2003 and used for many years ,,caught my eye,,you can see my old mounts on, aaawink channel you have a nice set up and I'm glad to see electric kayaking still going strong 16 years later,,
The bad thing about this is in my state you license and pay property tax on the kayak if you put a trolling motor or anything that is not man-power. Thank Kentucky for that. Nice video btw!

Can you do a how to use the Lorance Fish finder . I have the Hook 2 5x and kinda got the hang of but i still need to learn a lot more. it would help out the biggeners like me. and plus there is not a how lot of reviews on the Lowrance Hook 2 fish finders. You can do it
The only problem with the Vmax 35 ah is your run time will not be long. Depending on your amperage output of your trolling motor you'r not going to get much of a run time with this battery.
Mike West , I actually have them doubled up for each post. Two 14 gauge reds for the hot and two 14 gauge blacks for the Neg. I usually tend to over build.. lol 🤙🏼

So you have inspired me to consider the sea ghost. I am limited on space and hauling capacity, so what is your opinion on the sea ghost 110? Would it still be a good boat at 11ft instead of 13ft?
I feel like for the little bit of money difference the 130 is way better, plus youll want to step up to the 130 a few months after you get used to the 110

Dakota Farrulla , not really too much stress but I was noticing that if I turned to hard the whole mount wanted to turn . So this bracket fixed that and made it super sturdy. I’ll go over the full bracket I made in the next video. I forgot to go over it in this one. Sorry

Awood Kayak Adventures , I removed the original speed controller ( in the first video) all a speed controller does with an electric motor is turn up and down the current from the battery to the motor. 👍🏼

You'll probably wish you could control that trolling motor with your feet if you ever try fishing on a real windy day. You'll want to throw that hand control in the lake.

Just a thought. Enjoy it sir. I'll let you know how mine turns out, all components just about in place. Buying a little along. Tight Lines!
That Mighty Max is 30lbs and sealed lead acid. The vmax I have on my ss127 is 12lbs and lithum. You can drain it much further (longer runtime) than lead acid and its more than half the weight. Of course it was also 5x as expensive so there's that.
Oh, I see now that he is talking about a vmax AGM. Those are comparable! I spent 5 hundy on a lithium to save weight and hopefully get longer run times.

So if you add a motor do you have to register it as a motorized watercraft? Some states yes, some no.

If you just hook up the red and the black on the motor it cuts on automatically, but I didn't know if it had something to do with the speeds
