- My birthday event was a silly stream this year, playing Factorio on a Deathworld with a load of Cadians as the brave warriors needed to face this threat. And if they died, they were permanently banned from the server. It was very silly and quite fun. I hope you enjoy!

in the the end rimmys own arrogance brought him down, his hubris and willingness to sacrifice resources and lives to his own ends (the train) were the sole reason everyone died

The whole "litmus test" hypothesis in this video was really silly. When you have no way to replenish ranks, you must take every measure possible to preserve the lives of your group.
Every person who dies to negligence, even if it's their _own_ negligence, is one less person to gather resources, one less person to tech up, one less person to repair damages, one less person to fight off the monsters...
It's thus in the best interest of the group to idiot-proof everything.

There is no peace amongst the stars, only an eternity of carnage and slaughter, and the chugga chugga choo choo of thirsting trains.
There's actually a mod for Factorio that replaces the engineer model with a Techpriest... though sadly isn't colourable.
There's also a currently in-progress one that intends to replace the biters with the Arachnids from Starship Troopers :3
As with all multiplayer games with anonymous players, we got a swastika. Amazing.
Maybe they were fans of Finland (or Norse mythology), those use it as national symbol (specifically blue one on its side on white background) before German nationalists (black one on its tip in white roundel on red background)... But it's more likely some idiot referring to Germany in thirties and forties, since most people keep forgetting svastika is a thing since decorations on some ancient Greek amphoras and randomly appeared around the world as religious symbol (aside of Scandinavia also in far east (Asia) philosophies/religions) before Germany even existed as part of frank empire... (yeah, I just hate how everyone acts like Germans made that symbol, while they just steal it from Norse mythology and every svastika is automatically labeled as ww2 Germany one. For record, this is not aimed on you nor I'm accusing you from anything, just got every once in a while annoyed by this topic since as plastic modeler I'm encountering it regularly, thanks to current German laws, that doesn't understand what "context" is, which unfortunately have implications even beyond their borders.)

@@hirocheeto7795 not so sure, there was mod for Skyrim, armor, where author take inspiration in norse mythology, and people was reporting it as propagation of nacizm and he had to explain to nexus exactly that... People are dumb enough to even actively ignore that context matters. Another example is recent bans of Japanese users in one of the multi-player shooters for saying "nigero" (run away in japanese), because to English speaking (most likely from USA) people it sounds like that word for black people and even try to suggest to Japanese to use different words. Just because it sounds similar, despite totally different meaning... Or that time Pepe the frog was canceled as hate symbol, or that other one when OK hand gesture got canceled since someone didn't get quite obvious trolling...
@Just Vibing I don't know, man, I live in Czechia and no one gives a damn about them and their army and possible ww3 started by them, despite having personal experience with their occupation... And I don't catch such sentiment from any other country in Europe, except of Germany itself in terms of being afraid of what could others think. General sentiment is more towards Russia and China and despite of their bunch of atrocities committed for much longer time I don't see any bans of communism symbols...
I swear, in Factorio, train tracks are like opium for engineers, seriously. Is it so hard to keep off of the tracks and check your map if you need to cross them? makes me wonder if they were never taught to look both ways before they cross the train tracks.

PvP factorio could be fun, where each team has a leader they must protect.
In order to maintain power, many aspiring dictators play certain niches against each other, be they ethnic groups, social classes, political affiliates, etc.
Likewise, they have them compete for favor by appealing to the dictator's ego.
In other words, Rimmy roleplayed a petty king/dictator perfectly.
PLEASE do more of this in the future. This was vastly entertaining.
