aswell you can get the earc extractor like u showed or get a 5.1 atmos soundbar with true rear speakers with input and output thru hdmi the soundbar well passthrough audio to the soundbar then send vedio to the tv
Yeah, exactly! You can use an eARC extractor like the video showed, or go for a 5.1 Atmos soundbar that's got real rear speakers. It'll pass the audio through to the soundbar and then send the video on to the TV.
what about lossless audio my speakers have a arc port and my tv has an earc port i read that standard arc can only do lossy audio?
You're correct that standard ARC (Audio Return Channel) typically supports lossy audio formats like Dolby Digital and DTS. If your TV has an eARC port but your speakers only have a standard ARC port, you won't be able to take full advantage of lossless audio formats like Dolby TrueHD. You'll be limited to what the standard ARC can handle. So, in this setup, you won't get the full Dolby Atmos experience with lossless audio.
Should I connect my dolby atmos soundbar to my 4k player or earc on the tv?
Great question. For the best Dolby Atmos experience, I'd suggest connecting your soundbar directly to the eARC port on your TV. This way, you can enjoy top-notch audio from all your devices, not just your 4K player.
Can I use this device if my Yamaha receiver doesn't support earc? My tv and Xbox support 120fps but not my reciever
Absolutely, you can still use Dolby Atmos. You may not get the full quality without eARC, but Dolby Atmos is compatible with older HDMI versions. Use your Xbox and TV to manage the Dolby Atmos audio and let your receiver handle the regular audio tasks. This should let you get the most out of your equipment!
Sir Very informative video,
Have a doubt plz clear.
Have sony X74K (ARC PORT ONLY).
CAN I GET DOLBY Atmos if watch Netflix or Amazon Dolby atmos content?
Soundbar will be Dolby Atmos compatible.
Want to buy Samsung Q930B but confused that do i get Dolby atmos effect or not
Hey, glad you found the video helpful!
So here’s the thing, for Dolby Atmos through ARC, it’s a bit tricky. ARC can pass Dolby Atmos, but it’s kinda limited to the Dolby Digital Plus version. If your Sony X74K and the Samsung Q930B soundbar both support this, you should be able to get Dolby Atmos when watching content from Netflix or Amazon that offers it.
Just make sure your Netflix or Amazon app is directly on your TV, and you should be good to go. However, keep in mind it might not be the full Dolby Atmos experience you'd get with an eARC connection, but it should still be a noticeable improvement!
Hope that clears things up a bit for you! 👍
Thanks 👍
I appreciate ur efforts ❤❤.
Yes , All doubts cleared.
This is sooo high tech
I have dolby digital in my settings but its lower sound quality? I also have dolby digital plus in the settings but when i press on that there comes no sound out of my sound bar and subwoofer??
The soundbar is the jbl cinema sb170
Hey, that's odd! Dolby Digital Plus should offer better sound quality. If you're not getting any sound with that setting, it might be a compatibility issue between your soundbar, subwoofer, and the source device. Make sure all your devices support Dolby Digital Plus and maybe check for any firmware updates. Good luck! 🎧🔊
Hello, I'm getting closer to clarification, but I have a question. I have an LG QNED tv which does not support dolby atmos, but it has an eARC connection. I do have a Sony Soundbar which support Dolby Atmos. Can I get the full Dolby Atmos experience? Thank you for answering!
Hey! Good news, since your Sony soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and you’ve got an eARC connection on your TV, you should be able to get the full Atmos experience. Just make sure everything's hooked up right with the HDMI eARC, and you should be good to go.
@@hifiaudios8101Thank you so much!
Have led tv with normal hdmi ports. Connected fire stick tv to one hdmi port of led tv. Also have soundbar with hdmi arc and optical port.
I want to listen dolby audio experience with arc hdmi with fire stick tv content played on led tv.
Please suggest best alternative
So, for the Dolby audio with your setup, since your TV doesn’t support HDMI eARC, you can connect the Fire Stick directly to your soundbar’s HDMI ARC port. Then, use the optical cable to connect the soundbar to your TV. This way, you'll get the best possible audio from your Fire Stick through your soundbar.
@@hifiaudios8101 But if we connect firestick to hdmi arc port of soundbar then how we can display content in tv?
@hifiaudios8101 hey, i have a dolby atmos soundbar with eARC, but the tv i have, has an ARC port. Will i get Dolby Atmos output?
if your soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and has eARC, but your TV only got ARC, you might not get the full Dolby Atmos experience. But, you can still get some good sound quality. Maybe consider upgrading your TV in the future for best results.
@hifiaudios8101 will this device get true Atmos from arc tv only?
My tv have earc specification and hdmi arc port also
My tv support Dolby Atmos Sound or not
! If your TV has eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel) and supports Dolby Atmos, then yeah, you should be able to enjoy that awesome Dolby Atmos sound! Just make sure your sound system or soundbar also supports Dolby Atmos, and you're all set for some epic audio experiences.
My tv has only dts hd support and only hdmj arc and no e arc. But sound bar has dolby atmos support. Will i be able to enjoy dolby atmos
Hmm, tricky setup there! Without eARC, you might not get the full Dolby Atmos experience since eARC is better for handling those advanced audio formats. But give it a try,
@@hifiaudios8101 thank you sir. Will see how it turns out
Connect device (like Xbox Series X) via HDMI to your soundbar. Then connect an HDMI from soundbar to TV arc port. Full atmos from Xbox.
What is your sound bar only has one hdmi port? Could you use a splitter?
@@kevinfancy5170you'll need hdfury arcana

Hey I want buy a Samsung HW-Q800B soundbar which have 1 basic HDMI 1 arc/e-arc HDMI and a optical. But want it in PC with monitor not tv. My GPU is Amd Radeon Rx 7900 xtx with 2 HDMI and 2 DP ports. My current cheap monitor have only 1 HDMI but will get a LG or cosair OLED 240hz those will have 2 2.1 HDMI. Also maybe My Asus x670e Crosshair Hero have a optical not sure. So my q is can I get Dolby Atmos by my PC with just 1 HDMI PC to soundbar. Or I have to connect PC to soundbar HDMI and soundbar arc/e-arc HDMI to e-arc HDMI converter to monitor HDMI. Or I can't get Dolby Atmos without tv. Samsung random operator said that I need to their q series tv for q series soundbar Dolby Atmos.
Hey! So, you're diving into the awesome world of sound with that Samsung HW-Q800B, nice choice! With your setup, yeah, you can totally get Dolby Atmos vibes going without a TV. Just hook your PC to the soundbar using the HDMI (the one that supports ARC/eARC should do the trick). This way, your PC sends the video to the monitor and audio to the soundbar, all neat and tidy.
For your monitor upgrade, those fancy LG or Corsair ones with HDMI 2.1 will be sweet for future-proofing your setup. And about the optical from your Asus motherboard, it's cool but HDMI's your best bet for that crisp Dolby Atmos experience.
Don't sweat the Samsung operator's advice too much. While Q series TVs and soundbars pair up like a dream, your PC setup can still kick out some epic Atmos sound. Just make sure your GPU's outputting to the soundbar first for that audio magic.
Actually how am I getting atmos (literally atmos speakers outputs sound) I'm using only optical cable connected to soundbar and hdmi audio converter.... That is from Android box I get sound and audio via hdmi and connected to hdmi audio extractor.... Here I connected another hdmi to projector for video out and optical cable from audio extractor to soundbar.... I'm so flabbergasted by the experience of the actual atmos working.... Only God knows how....
Wow, that sounds like a pretty unique setup you’ve got there! Optical cables usually don't support true Dolby Atmos because they can’t pass the high bandwidth needed for it. What might be happening is your soundbar is simulating the Atmos effect, which some soundbars are pretty good at. So, it feels like Atmos, but it’s not the full experience you'd get with HDMI eARC, which can handle those true Atmos signals.
Your audio extractor could also be doing some clever work to mix things up and give you that immersive vibe. Either way, if it sounds great and you're enjoying it, that’s what counts!
Why does your TV need to support eARC? Cant you just run from lets say PS5 to Soundbar for Atmos Sound.
Yeah, u can run PS5 directly to the soundbar for Atmos. eARC is more for when u wanna get the best audio from TV's apps or other devices connected to the TV. So, if u just using PS5 for Atmos, should be fine without eARC.
Can You Get Dolby Atmos Audio Without HDMI eARC?
yes, if u have a UBD player
OR
PC
If your tv specs have Dolby Atmos but only have ARC instead of EARC. You’ll get Dolby Digital Plus instead of Dolby True HD
@@Froggy_Delic94will this device get you true Dolby hd?
@@Cryptosavage. I don’t have this device , I have Sony HT-A7000 SoundBar but answer to your question yes as long your device supports it. If it on a tv then your tv must have EARC instead of ARC to Support it True HD, Same goes with DTS-X
not just blueray players have truehd atmos support both apple and windows pcs do along with xbox and the ps5 ps4 the ps3 can still do true hd lel
It's not just Blu-ray players. Apple devices, Windows PCs, Xbox, and even PS5 have TrueHD Atmos support. PS4 and even the old PS3 can handle TrueHD, lol. Good point!
