Does Piper's quick spin mechanic make a difference?
Piper has been seeing a lot of usage lately in Zenless Zone Zero and for good reasons too. She's really strong because of her spin attack, and she's the main contributor to disorder teams since she's an anomaly unit, capable of single handedly triggering the assault anomaly. The main way she does this is using her EX skill where she spins and hits the enemy multiple times, with the anomaly and damage ramping up the more she spins. Now normally, the start of the spin is somewhat slow and she needs to ramp up the speed and damage. However if you read the skill description, you can actually combo directly into the fast spin if you use it after a string of other attacks.

You can also quick spin after her 2nd BA btw, which is what I prefer to do (not sure if it's stage 2 or stage 3, but it's less hassle to me). The energy generation part is a good argument, but one thing to also consider is that you might want to trigger her passive and signature weapon as quickly as possible.
If you start the basic atk after a dashing, it's the 3rd, if you're standing and start the basic atk, it's the second
One thing you can also do is parry during her spin and she will finish whit the slam also works whit just switching before the end of spinning
If you switch out before she slam will she still get anomaly for the hit?
Also, if you switch from piper during her EX special, she will finish doing it. You can basically have two characters on the field for a while using this!

You can do the fast spin after her 2nd basic if you dont do a dash attack so while you swap to during a fight just do 2 basics!
the 2nd basic when she hits it into the ground only works if you don't press dash before attacking
It's even better if you arrange your rotation so you can quick swap (works out of most supports' chain attacks)
I knew her basic string comboed into the spin, but I didn't realize that the spin started out faster. I had been debating whether a few basic attacks worth of damage was worth it for a simple animation cancel, but its more than just that, neat.
Wait i thought crit didn't mattered on her, doesn't she only wants attack, anomaly mastery/proficiency and er ?
dmg% and pen apparently also affect anomaly damage, it's not like break dmg in hsr or elemental reactions in genshin, crit doesn't matter though as assault/disorder cant crit
Yes, crit doesn't metter as much to her, Everything but crit work with Anomaly in ZZZ.

yup! I only mentioned her crit to clarify how I did my calculations but you're absolutely correct
honestly her with lucy at mindscape 6 is nutty. cheer on for up to 6 exploding boars on special ex. i have a team with corin her and lucy for a fire assault proc build and easy adds 30k on top of the piper dmg plus all of them are at MS 6. getting assault procs on top of disorder from the constant fire dmg from boars. although still doesn't compare to ellen alone dealing 25k-40k per hit on ice trimming. the road to max skills stats and passives is a long one -_-
Part 2 is switch teching after you let go of the spin- she will complete animation and do the damage while you can start comboing with the next character.
Part 3 I guess would be swapping so she finishes filling stun/assault/both with the post-spin slam, but not activating either effect because off field haha
As long as you can pull off a different element you have a hair trigger disorder assault which is cool

My built piper is freaking insane. 1876 atk, 139 mastery and 360 proficiency means she kicks off her assault before she finishes one full ex spin and does over 61k of damage with assault on bosses (more with higher buffs etc - for 500k with onslaught buffs in hollow zero)
Now that I’ve unlocked level 40 and able to level her to 50 her attack has increased to over 2k and she’s dishing over 81k of damage
OMG 360 anomaly is insane, well done !!!

Ok this was better than I thought it was gonna be from the title (after seeing some wack piper opinions when my phone forces me to look at reddit push notifications lol) and I can see where you're coming from! Nice vid!
My one argument for Full Bar Spin with no combo cancelling is purely for the anti-interrupt. She can tank pretty well and sooooomewhat dodge during the full spin animation and its been great for not getting off-camera sniped mid-combo by waves of ranged enemies, but otherwise against bosses I do love to combo cancel into it for quick Assault procs! (or have Nicole to i-frame tank them hahaha)

I want her so bad for my Nekomata team, but I was so unlucky with the A ranks so far. I think she might actually be the only A rank I am missing from the standard banner.

The ingame description is really confusing thinking that I can do this after counter immedeiately when in reality it also has to be "3" hits.

I have the exact same team, is Rocketboo the best Bangboo to have for it? I'm still using Paperboo cause I'm worried of choosing the wrong one from the pity
Yes, Piper is an anomaly unit so she can fill up the assault gauge really easily by herself, Lucy and Soldier 11 though need some help to trigger Burn quickly

Since when you play piper on crit? Everyone saying you build anomlyprofiency on her and hit assault for 100-300k.
It took me about 2 weeks to figure this out 😅.

the Axe Loli Being Super Strong is Funny to me.
i have been using piper quite a while now, and now that im interknot level 45, i can confidentally say that while on earlier levels it doesnt matter, in the late game you should NEVER quick spin. each hit from her spin does around 6k damage, which doesnt make the 10-15k from the final hit that impressive anymore. what is instead important are the crits. a single crit from a normal spin attack does betwenn 80k and 150k damage, therefore reducing the spin time and thereby the chance to crit is a bad thing and you should never quick spin in the late game
Well you're after the anomaly stacks that's why you wanna quick spin

Youd have to level up basic atk tho. Resources are too tight for so little gain
Depends on her playstyle tbh. I use her as a sub dps for my corin team to build anomaly, daze, and clear out smaller mobs, so I don't need to build piper's basic attacks.
I am not using her at all lol, I don't have her
you're bound to have her since shes in the standard banner
@@chairvergil4552 That's not always how it works, though. I've done 150 pulls in standard banner and the only way I've gotten Lucy is from buying her directly from the Signal Shop
