I think he really needs to work in broadening his game. There have been a few matches where his opponent has started mixing up the play with changes in pace and spins and Rublev looked like he didn't know what to do. I remember one particular match against Dan Evans where all Evans did was float the ball back with slice and work his way into the net. Rublev looked completely baffled. Tsitsipas did something similar to Rublev at the 2020 French Open.
Rublev reminds me of Agassi and Juan Carlos Ferrero. Semi western forehands, early ball strikers and step very close to the baseline, great intensity. He is one of the players i enjoy watching the most among the young talents.

Rublev has the potential as another Russian tennis star after Medvedev. He could beat Krgios, it means he has super strong skills to handle difficult situations in the court.
Conrgate the Two Superp Heroes in the World .. So impress in fast , powerfull they both perform in tennis ever since so far indeed ! What 's Champion !!
Rublev seems to have more talent at playing the ball early, he is almost never off and amazingly dependable for how soon after the bounce he's hitting. Tsitsipas needs more time to hit but has a more complete game. Overall, time wins over space, as it almost always does in singles...
Ох как же классно играет Рублёв на задней линии, но такой теннис очень выматывает психологически. Давай в том же духе, Андрей, почаще к сетке надо выходить - это неотъемлемый атрибут топа. А Ципа неплох у сетки
@@ThusoMbedzi How does it matter? Movement is movement, be it while playing tennis or walking or playing any other sport. And clearly you never steeped into school in your entire life.
Younger pros seem to prefer attacking styles and mostly weak at defence. I'd love to see new stars who remain all skills significantly as Novak does, or possess unique style as Roger and Rafael.
That was always going to be a great match with some great tennis. Pisses me off to see all those empty seats. So many tennis fanatics would love to be there but as usual it's all about money.
Tsitsipas has a more traditional swing. It's consistent but doesn't allow him to hit those angles. His shots tend to lack angular winners. Rublev on the other hand has unconventional swings that hit the sweet spot nicely so he is able to produce a lot of power without the conventional longer swings. This is quite apparent in this match.
it doesn't have anything with the swing. probably he lacks confidence in hitting angles, and I reckon there's a consistency issue related so he avoids it to maintain consistency . but it's more about controlling the net clearance height margin (simply put, in order to hit an angle you must not clear the net too high and actual margins are tighter; it's a shot which requires more precision as you need to lower the depth of your shot) than about the swing itself. Tsitsipas generates a lot of RPMs off both wings, there's no problem there...
Saw Anastasia Homutova there..When did they split up ? Thought they stopped dating after in 2018 when Rublev said he had lots of personal problems which snowballed but he fixed them one-by - one. which I took partly to mean his relationship.

Looks like a semi western and Tsitsipas 's like an eastern. The swing paths look very similar as they both hit their forehands early on the rise and pretty flat. Rublevs is very close to Agassi's. Hope that helps.
25:05 is why Tsitsipas has a chance to win slams and rublev doesn’t. Rublev has a good approach and comes in but gets scared at the net, hits a timid shot and backs off. This gives Tsitsipas an approach which he jumps on and finishes at the net. All rublev can do is try and crush the ball, which never works against the best of the best. Tsitsipas has got it all and will win slams in the future even if not ready quite yet
Scott Harry the lob was high yes but he backed off into no mans land which is always wrong no matter how bad your volley is. Tsitsipas isn’t ready for slam titles yet but this point shows his potential and tennis mindset are superior to rublev even if that particular day rublev was playing at a higher level. Denis Istomin has beaten Novak Djokovic, does that mean that he will win more slams? No, he was just better on that day. Edit: also not saying rublev is bad, I just think Tsitsipas has a very bright future as maybe a world number 1 whereas rublev will probably only ever be a top 20 player. But who knows

You are not making sense. I am glad they listened to the feedback and I am happy to have extended highlights now. Now they should publish full press conferences instead of cutting out the part in the player's native tongue and just leaving the English parts.
you guys are not very clever and missing the point. they mostly dont care, they put extended highlights now since it has no value to hold them back anymore. If they put whole game on stream on youtube then what is the point in going there on the event live? this is just min maxing experience gotten from the live audiences and those who actually pay and us, who are paying nothing to see these things. it is the right bussiness move.
the point of putting small highlights is to encourage new paid subscription to watch from whatever TV streaming services available, giving more value to them who are paying to watch or going there live. they prioritize that over youtube subscription. they dont care your opinion.
