In this video we take a look at how to install a Bluetooth HC 05 Module in the Flysky FSI6X radio flashed with Open Tx firmware + ExpressLRS
Telemetry Mirror
The Serial Port firmware will be available once ExpressLRS 3.0 is released.
so stay tuned until then.

Thanks for sharing 🙂
Thanks for giving us budget minded pilots some awesome options and such great walk-throughs!!!
Thanks for watching! 👍 Kudos to developers
Great mod and information, great video my friend
Thanks!! 👍
bru i thought im done with my mods on my i6x but i guess im not..thanks for the tutorial..sending love from PH..
Thanks for watching 👍
You r just🔥
Thanks
You're welcome 👍
👏🏼🙌
Great Info - Thank you.
Is the pa9 pad connected to any of the pins at the Trainer Port on the back of the transmitter?
This is awesome!. How have you connected the Express LRS module to the remote?
Thanks for the tutorial! I just a noob in RC model , also try to elrs, but don't know how to wire up the elrs receiver to the origin receiver. Is that ppm or something like sbus signal regulation to transfer the signal ?
For elrs it's the crossfire protocol via tx2 pad on radio
Hey great video as always! Will this work without the express Lrs module? I am using ibus telemetry with the fsia6b
At the moment only elrs telemetry is transmitted. Flysky telemetry mirror doesn't work yet but it could be implemented in future
@@RakishRc Thank you!
@Rakish Rc Thanks for the tutorial. Do you know which is the pin that outputs SBUS on FSI6X? I am trying to use SBUS than PPM to connect my SIYI FM30 external module to FSI6X.
Currently sbus output is available but will be available soon i guess for external modules.
Is it possible to use an HC05 bluetooth module to establish a bidirectional (control+telemetry) link? One application would be to use bluetooth connection with your laptop to run a simulator like PicaSim. Maybe also to transmit control signal to your ground station when using Ardupilot to control pan and tilt FPV camera gimbal so that a head tracker signal could be sent first from your transmitter to the ground station, then from your ground station to the craft receiver via Mavlink.
Hi! The switch setting of the original firmware could be set up at 120% and the servo motors also have larger stroke in the original firmware. How can I set up more than100% in opentx to get 120 % because it is insufficient for correct move of the boat.
@Rakish Rc I am thinking of adding the HC05 as well, but curious to know if you have experienced a noticeable power consumption because the Bluetooth module is always running?
I use a 2s 1000mah lipo so it doesn't matter. But I've also used with AA batteries and they lasted for good time so Bluetooth module doesn't really affect the battery life that much
@@RakishRc Thanks a lot. I'll add the module then.
I have connected the HC05 to the FS-i6x (updated to 1.6.0 firmware), the telemetry output is enabled in INAV and also on the TX set to telemetry mirror. I can connect the HC05 to the telemetry viewer app but there is no data obtained from the flight controller. On the TX, I am able to see ten sensors outputs (Not sure why GPS is NOT listed within my sensors on the TX). The HC05 RX is connected to PA9, and I am using 5V from the TX pad and the GND2 pin. My HC05 module has a blue led lighting up aside from the red the led. Any suggestions to fix this issue? Thanks.

I Have verified and it is good.. I think this is ratter a radio issue. I measured continuos 3.3v on PA9 pin, wich i suppose has to send a pwn signal or some something else ratter than high 3.3v
Hi, My remote is Radiomaster Pocket ELRS
Can I follow your step?
I am really new in RC And electronic
Thank you
Bro.. im thinking to start fpv .. haven't bought any controller.. should i buy a fsi6x or go directly to the best one like the new zorro?
Buying a latest radio like Zorro or tbs mambo or radio master tx12 would be a wise choice.
Hello. Is it possible to record the drone's GPS path using this phone app ?
Yes
how did you change the firmware of your fsi6 to look like that? i wanna do it too
Is there any eay to configure hc05 with out ftdi adapter
Hi. I have used hm-10 Ble module and can connect my phone using a Bluetooth serial monitor, and see data streaming. The data changes slightly when the receiver connects. Is there a telemetry app that can read Ble module
Did you use telemetry viewer app?
Does this work with the radiomaster tx12 mk1 too?
Hy, i have configured and wired the HC-05 same way as you did, enabled telemetry mirror and set baudrate on radio to 400k, then 1.8M then 115200.. but none of them actually sent me any data. The bluetooth connection is working, i can connect to the device, but i don't get data in "Telemetry viewer" on android, nor in Mission planner inav. ELRS Telemetry is working betwen the tx and the rx, i get all sensors, and i can view them on my slysky fsi6x screen. Do i need a special LUA script to enable telemetry mirror to do something ? I have measured at some point that pa9 pin, and i got 3.3v on the multimeter, that is wired to hc05 rx pin.
Mostly like the hc05 configuration settings are not saved correctly. Make sure that the baud rate for the hc05 is set to 115200 and check if it's saved with the AT+UART? Command.
If it's correct and still not transmitting data check the ground connection between hc05 and the radio. Lastly also check if the tx and Rx wires are connected correctly between the radio pins and module.

@@alexandrugroza839 hi, are you fixed your issue with telemetry mirror? I have a same, there is no data on PA9 pin (FS-i6x transmitter with Open I6X v1.11.1 firmware + HC-05)
EDIT:
I made downgrade fw to v.1.10.0 and AUX_UART started working.
@@rcboat58 hy.. nope, no update, no more answers on github, nothing new to help with my problem..
@@rcboat58 ok thanks for the tip.. i guess i will have to try! are any bugs or less features in the downgraded version?
Is this working with internal afsh2a protocol without elrs
No it's only supported for elrs telemetry.
How to do this same thing in radiomaster tx12?
Can we connect to mission planner?
Ooo no i have i6 need to buy i6x for such mod
For fsi6 take a look at erfly6 firmware - ruclips.net/video/2aww8gwR4tA/видео.html
It also supports elrs and Bluetooth mod could be implemented.
Sir did you directly connected the 2s battery to the transmitter...I'm thinking of modding my transmitter battery and I'm not getting any correction info about the max input voltage the transmitter can withstand...is it safe to use a fully charged 2s since we are giving 8.4 volts i have doubt about that
So I've been using a 2s lipo only to power my fsi6x. Have had no problems yet. There are many more users directly using a 2s lipo without any issues. However like you said there is no official voltage specifications about the regulator so there's always a chance of things smoking up. If you have a latest fsi6x board from 2017 then you should be fine using a 2s. 👍
@@RakishRc thankyou sir
is there any way i can attach the bluetooth module to my drone so the drone sends telemetry so i can use it like remote id
Which flight controller are you using? It's possible provided the flight controller and the configuration software support it. Mission planner has this option
@@RakishRc i am using a matek wse f411 and inav 2.6.1 adrupilot show me going up when i go down .....its wrong... left and right it perfect
@@staydown.normal5323 pitch stick need to be inverted. Atleast with adrucopter i have to reverse the pitch channel else it's inverted by default
@@RakishRc so i will have to invert my rc controller out.? then i will have to invert inav to so it dose not invert my plane sticks...yeah? then adruplilot should show the plane going up for up and down for down...?
@@RakishRc how do i do this
Apakah hal ini bisa untuk jumper t12 ?karena sangat membutuhkannya !
Please mod Flysky Nirvana
Nirvana is due for open tx 2.4 release.. so it'll have all the functions 👍
@@RakishRc 3 years later :/
flysky fs-i6 can i do it?
As i know telemetry is only on fs-i6x😢
