Does this opentx flash from dfu method and is it stable?
I mean, can't i use the module directly by connecting the ppm,v+,gnd to the flysky i6
At 9:54 does the low battery warning apply to the radios power and the external module(im running a express lrs module) or just the radio. If its just the radio how do you change the voltage alarm for the external module(if there is a serting)(im running a 2s for my module so this is helpful) thanks
It's only for the radio not the external module. But if your external module is powered from the radio battery then the voltage alarm will benefit both.
Can We use ELRS in Turnigy TGY 9X like FSI6X?

What is your experience, are there any drawbacks compared to the original fw?
My main concern would be freezes mid-flight. How reliable is it?
Will it still work in Phoenix RC?
Can you still set low battery warnings sent by the receiver trough telemetry? (FS-iA6B)
When I delete the original fw, there is the possibility to save it. Can I also save the EEPROM contents aswell?
All my programmed data, setting? For the case I would like to restore?

Hi, I've been using this radio with open tx from a long time now. I haven't had any issue during flight or operating my rc cars. I use elrs for my quads and it outperforms the stock afhds2a protocol. You get all the regular telemetry options plus more if using flight controller. No drawbacks at all only benefits and more features. You can always flash back to original firmware and you can back up too but the original files are available on web. Eeprom cannot be saved..you'll have to setup manually.

I have no idea about compatibility or how lrs receiver works.
Does it has its own telemetry or it transmit flight controller's telemetry?
3rd question is regarding the camera transmission, if a separate setup is needed for fpv , even after all these technologies advances , especially for long range flights ?
Is there any way to transmit video signals riding these radio signals?

Express lrs will work on apm but from 4.1 firmware onwards. Elrs receiver has some if it's own telemetry like rssi, refresh rate and voltage but it can also send flight controller telemetry.
For fpc setup you could use it stand alone without connecting to flight controller but you'll miss some data on your video feed. Fpv video feed doesn't have any problem from other radio signals if vtx and antenna are placed correctly.
@@RakishRc Thanks for your reply . It's clear that express lrs will not work with apm 2.8. Now for fpv setup , does its receiver support analog video out put , as feed from apm telemetry can be overlayed on fpv signals through minim osd. In this scenario , apm doesn't need any feedback , minim osd just use that telemetry data to overlay it on video feed.
So my question is does express lrs support analog video output , if not then how can I use telemetry data from apm to get it overlayed any digital video feed. Sorry for my ignorance 😛

And i have one more question. Which setting must be made to operate servos with sbus on receiver (16ch). Which converter works good?

Hi, I've been using with 2s lipo without any problem just make sure to never power with 2s and 4AA batteries together accidentally else radio will burn. You'd need sbus to pwm converter to use servos with sbus16 or use sbus compatible servos directly. Frsky sd1 sbus converter could be used or any other similar converter.

Hi, does the radio work with computer for playing games after changing the firmware to Open?
Simulator option is a hit and miss mostly due to computer driver error. I have no problem with simulator with open tx on any of my computer and laptop. You'll have to test it on your pc
will installing openTX allow me to connect to multiple protocols with the stock antena? or do i need to put external modules for that to work?
You'll need multi protocol module to use other protocols. With open tx you can use elrs and flysky protocol along with ppm for external module. Sbus for multi protocol will also be available in future
may i ask if there is an issue regarding the latest version of openi6x specifically when using with simulator? my laptop is not recognizing my tx.
i also tried it in my mobile phone but same problem. but before i flashed it with openi6x i can use it with my simulator.
@@f.chrisrafer5303 the device drivers need to be updated. Go to device manager and find the radio under HID compliant devices. Update the drivers using USB input device. it'll give error in first attempt but update the driver again using USB input device and reconnect the radio. It should show up properly and also visible in usb game controller
hello, thankyou for videos and guide for the open tx. succesfully install no problem. however all my gimball are inverted (left is right and up is down), do you have any advice ?
Did you calibrate gimbals and pots from the calibration menu correctly?
@@RakishRc yes , i did . Even in the calibration menu , everything is inverted
@@MsDanish1212 I am not sure why that would happen. Did you ever reconnect the gimbal pin connector on motherboard? I'd suggest flash original flysky firmware again and see if gimbals are working correctly. That's a way to know if it's hardware or software issue

Check this link. There's a guide to fix inverted gimbal. You have mode 1 radio it seems. Swap the gimbal wire connector

I am very enthusiastic about the OpenTX software for the I6X.
I have a question about the OpenTX software 1.4.0 for the Flysky FSI6X,
Is it possible to switch the software to German? if so, where and how?.
I want to use the I6X for truck model making, so I don't need any aircraft settings and designations (i.e. a neutral surface)
is there a way to remove all the aviator settings (mixers) and designations or the
(Mixer) settings and designations To be released so that you can change the settings and designations yourself?
I would like to do the same with the Taranis X9E,
can you help me or give me tips on what and where I need to change something?
I installed an external transmitter module (Jeti Tu2) in the X9E, works quite well so far,
Is it possible to use the telemetry signal from the transmitter module in the Taranis and in the I6X,
I would also like to install the Jeti TU2 transmitter module in the I6X.

Hi, Germany language has been added in a nightly build will be available with official version very soon.
You can set up mixes in anyway you'd like with open tx in I6X
Jeti TU2 module can be used via external ppm module with I6X Open tx.

Yes ofcourse. If you watch the installation video or go through the rcgourp forum you'll get all the information regarding installation and backup of existing firmware.

Fsi6 is different from FSi6X.
Whad did you do thay you are able to use 2s battery?
Stock i6x can only work with 6.5v
I've had no problem using with 2s battery
I Plan to use this remote with a scale car. For this I will change the 2 pos switch to 3 pos. With openTX can I delete the switch/throtle position force at startup ?
Hi, you mean the throttle warning at power on if it's not zero? I am not sure what you mean by force. But with open tx you can pretty much configure the radio however you want just need to know how to implement the steps required for it
@@RakishRc Yea, I mean that. Same with the switches that al have to bee up. Is that something I can change in the radio or do I need to do that to the firmware7software before flashing ?

From what I know there's no room to program audio library. But if possible in the future I'll sahre the details 👍
Hello, what is the range that it can reach when using erls?
I've got 3km of range with r8m elrs and fsi6x radio. Depending on surrounding you could get 10-25km or more.

Im constantly getting a driver error when trying to connect as a joystick. It looks initially as if windows is installing the driver then it gives me an error and I can't use the joystick function
I also did not succeeded
Try installing the drivers twice if you are getting the error 10.
Select usb input device driver in device manager driver update settings.
Can this remote be installed with speakers and a memory card module ? , if so, it must be very powerful
Dfplayer can be installed. I did a short test with erfly6 firmware but it's not fully supported for fsi6x. With open tx it might be supported in future not sure though.

Ch Range ch1-ch16 is not in Version 1.5.0 ???
It's only available in flysky protocol settings. Scroll between protocols and you'll see sbus 16 and ibus 16. Which receiver are you using?
hi the original firmware the switch setting has a larger range than 120% the servo motors have a larger stroke here can the same effect be achieved
I think it's possible by editing the channel mixer setting by changing the max range to 120...the default is 100. Will check on my radio and reply soon

From homescreen if you press and hold okay button you should see list of usb options. Select usb joystick option and then check in usb game controller option of computer

Planning to get the mfd 433mhz UHF rx TX , is it any good? Or should I go with 900mhz , from India for long range flight
900mhz elrs is a good option. It's new and has frequent updates and improvements and works well for long range with minimal latency. 433mhz you'll only be able to use pwm or ppm.
Also 900mhz elrs will be cheaper than a 433mhz uhf unit

@@SOMANNACN That would depend in the environment you're flying. If in dense city with towers nearby there could be interference but if using outside city shouldn't be a problem.

Elrs can connect with flysky th9x ?, If can't , i can radiomaster tx12 . now available in two website. 7.8k
Th9x cannot handle elrs. Tx12 is a good option at that price 👍

Can restore Modelle backup datas ?
It's planned in future updates. It did work with previous Open tx firmware but it wasn't possible to backup and restore models and settings from one firmware to other.
On my flysky the elrs lua script wont load
Check elrs firmware on tx and rx module is matching and updated. And make sure tx2 signal wire and it's ground connection are connected correctly

@@fochiix9124 strange. I'd suggest re check elrs signal and ground wire connection between radio and elrs module. Also make sure elrs firmware on elrs tx and rx update. It should work 👍

Yes at the time of this video I wasn't aware edgetx buddy is also supported. It's simple and faster way once open tx firmware is flashed 👍

When flashing tx module there is a option to download lua script, what is the purpose? is it just folder structure? also do we need to download betaflight lua also? thanks
@@kattappa4344 fsi6x doesn't support Lua script. Elrs Lua is already implemented in elrs firmware version. No option to add other Lua menu yet
