- Hi,
the files I've mentioned are under:
netlion.eu/flysky_fs-i16x_unbr...
2nd source
drive.google.com/file/d/1qg0B...
UPDATE 2021:
I have managed to create dfu files containing new firmwares.
I've updated the unbrick pack where now you can unbrick directly to a new firmware without having to start from the 2017 stock firmware.
The dfsue is from www.st.com
Also on my windows 7 machine I didn't need any drivers for my stm device in dfu mode, however you may need to install st drivers www.st.com and also zadig usb drivers from zadig.akeo.ie/
good luck fixing your FS-I6X ;)
Edit:
I'm seeing lot of downloads on my server logs. If my video helped you out, please give it a thumbs up, if not let me known in comments below and I'll try to follow up.
Thanks. - Наука
I legit nearly had a heart attack after realizing I bricked my remote I this worked perfectly THANK YOU SO MUCH.
Thank you My man. I have tryed to upgrade this thing... it did not worked, i've try COM3 COM4 and other ways to comunicate with PC suddenly screen went black and Your video saved my controller. Real MVP.
You are a legend! Thank you. Just unbricked my transmitter.
thanks so much for the video i'm currently trying to do it so i'll post my results
Really great 👍
What a friendly, helpful video! If only Flysky was so concerned about its customers. Or ex-customers. I'm still trying to find out why the i6X doesn't seem to support altitude telemetry from the CAT10 sensor.
It ought to, because you can zero the altitude on the Tx. But what about the iA6B receiver? It's fully telemetry-capable, apparently, but I can't find any info about using it with the CAT10 anywhere. Flysky don't respond to my queries. I think the i10X transmitter and iA10B receiver handle altitude data, so it looks like the i6X needs a firmware update. Oh dear. Another brick in the wall...
Maybe it's time to move over to a Jumper T12. Ah, just think of it: Open Tx... Full FrSky compatibility... A decent support network... Developers who care... And no need for helpful emergency 'fix it' videos... ;-)
Thank you Istvan
Thank you very much
Yeah i think the screwdriver wasn't the best possible advice from me, because steel/iron doesn't conduct very well, especially if the tip is dirty. Best is to solder like in the video, but some people doesn't have the skill / tools for it :) maybe touching it with a stripped down copper wire is a better solution but it's still a 2 man job to hold it tight, bridge the pads properly and flick the switch on :)
Thanks. Its Working for me Thank You Very Very much
Thanks. Its Working.... Thank You Very much

Question after almost 10 months - did you update firmware in your transmitter?
I have the same version of transmitter and firmware, and I see that I have to make a choice: alternative firmware with RSSI/SNR alarm but not working with simulators on PC (github.com/qba667/FlyPlusI6X), or stay at original firmware (or upgrade to latest but original 1.0.48 from Dec 2018 www.flysky-cn.com/fsi6x - no information what was changed) with just information about RSSI on screen (without alarm - useless with goggles FPV) and working with simulators..
Hlo brother my name is sahil i also face this problem I will use your method but my transmitter can't connect with pc what I can do now I install all the drivers but no response in device manager plz help me
Does anyone have the DFU for this since the link is broken and I can't find it anywhere online
The link doesn't work for me either and the flysky firmware page also doesn't work
thanks for the vid, i have followed your instructions and it seems to update, but then it still doesnt turn on. do you have any other ideas?
syhightower Hi. I'm not really sure. Did the dfuse flashing succedded at the end and also did you break the short on r53 afterwards? Also this method is for the fs-i6x version for the normal i6 you need to use a different method
Istvan Horvath i have a i6x, did exactly the same as you- flashed the i6 fw. I managed to sort it out. I used the demo tool you posted (the other util is included in the flashing tool to create files) to create a new dfu file from the org.bin I got on the rcforums. I think it’s not possible to use a shared dfu file as the device, company, version has to match your device. I could be wrong, but your file didn’t work for me, but the new dfu file I created was successful in flashing with the tool
Edited for clarity for anyone else with the same issue :)
syhightower Hi. Is there any chance you could send me the dfu file you've generated? ( histvan81 at gmail .com) I would compare it with mine. I also got mine from the same forums using the dfu tool on a linux machine with the original bin file. I wonder how different are the 2 versions. Glad you got it fixed at least :)
Istvan Horvath sent you the file :)
Exact same problem.but in device manager I see "STM32 bootloder" but not dfu device. Dfuse demo program do not show the device.
Donatas Civas Hi. If you look at my video at 3:27. When i plug in the usb cable i get the new hardware found noise from windows and in device manager it's showing in DFU mode. If you got the same controller I would suggest to check the drivers for st. See description for them.
I have the same problem. I installed drivers by Zadig, I can see the device (STM32 bootloader) in device manager but my Dfuse demo can´t see it.
After 2 nights after the work i find the solution. Enjoy my friend.

I follow the instructions in the video. Then I install the software. In the drivers folder, I install the necessary version of "driver" then it appears. Work fine for me.

Thanks for the video is a hope for me.
My Flysky I6 transmitter has a different board, the processor is the MKL16Z64VLH4, there is a solution similar to this one of the video for my transmitter.
This video is for I6X only. If you have a normal I6 (without X) it's a different process. Search in youtube for flysky i6 debrick
Thanks for the quick reply
picayzumba radiocontrol no worries. I think you might be more lucky with the normal i6 as you can rescue it without having to undo any screws just by holding down both trims on the left side while powering on
Itsvan, I know that method but it does not work on my transmitter, I need to know how to put the MCU MKL16Z64VLH4 in bootloader mode, the bootloader program can not be deleted by the UART therefore it is there, I just need to know which pins to manipulate for activate it
In the ATMega, placing pin 5 in positive voltage is easily done but in this chip I do not know how to do it.
Unfortunately I'm not the expert on that to help. My I6X has an STM chip inside. I think you should try looking up this page: nathan.vertile.com/blog/2016/07/09/flysky-i6-radio-setup-and-hacking-guide/ and maybe ask the author of that page to see if he can help you out.
Thank you but this didn't work for me what else could I do?
What is the part that doesn't work ? This method is specifically for the I6X controller. Someone else made a similar video, try that one as well: ruclips.net/video/5jW7gGt15EI/видео.html
@@histvan81 Thank you I have windows Windows 10 Pro but device shows up as a stm32 bootlooder and the dfuse program does not pic it up
@@carpediemonline360 try running it with elevated (administrator) user and see if it helps. Have you tried the stuff in the other video? He seems to be using a different program to reprogram it.
Big thanks for my friend Farhad on helping to translate :)
расскажи как ты делал
какой ты кабель использовал
The link does not work for me, could someone please share the files with me?
Hi. I've verified and both links are working. I haven't even used any of those crappy watch ads to download things providers. Ask a friend or relative to try to download for you
@@histvan81 are you sure? I don't think your server is working. When I try to hit your site, it doesn't seem like you name server (ns.zerg.hu) is working?
@@chrisachille8899 yeah that's currently an issue. zerg.hu was on a raspberry pi with like 2600 days uptime before it died. i will post a new link shortly
@@chrisachille8899 I've updated the link in description and added a 2nd via google drive as well.
@@histvan81 Thank you! Very much appreciated!
Добрый день а где файл этот взять
http : / / netlion.eu / flysky_fs-i16x_unbrick_pack.zip
Hey this looks like just what I need, but I'm also not able to access the netlion.uk page to get the pack. I tried normal and with a VPN from several locations, and on multiple devices with separate internet connections. If you'd be able to get that zip file hosted somewhere else I could download it real quick I would be very appreciative!
Well never mind, I got my situation figured out, but still not able to access that site just fyi.
@@valor0effect were you able to find the files, I am looking for them now
@@donutves hey man i have a crap memory, but if you're looking for the original firmware i think i have it. give me an email to send it to or something and ill send it. not sure how to do private messages here.
@@valor0effect thanks man, my email is anthony@achille.com
@@donutves Hey I sent it, had to zip it because windows 10 thinks every version of the firmware is a virus. Like I said in the email, even the one straight from flyskys website gives the same warning.
