Love your channel, and all your bbs are beautiful!
The chocolate that got out of the area and you went for seemed so easy to get her, I'd be almost running after mine, except for one he or she climbs the stairs like crazy when I keep walking with the others jiji.
    Blessings and Ill be watching💞

😍 Favorite treats for our flocks are black oil sunflower seeds, corn scratch, watermelon, any type of lettuce/kale, and grapes.

HAHAHA That storm that hit from the west was blocked by a couple of mountains so we only got some snow showers that didnt amount to much. We were predicted to get over a foot! Im really glad we didnt get it LOLOL

I dreaded winter since this is my first with the chickens. The girls that are my other flock… RI, Austrolorps, Orpingtons and some guinea fowl will still free range but my fancy silkies will be in their new condo that I just bought them. They are so fluffy and different than my regular girls.

Honest, they will be do fine. Keep the dry and no breezes on them and they are good. Just dont button up too tightly because you are nervous about the cold. I did too much already and have two of mine sneezing and in the house. Every time I think I have enough venting, it proves me wrong. Moisture is bad. I had to open up about 3 feet of plastic at the top of my chicken area to be sure no moisture. LOL

@@birchmoonfarm101 ty so much. Do you ever use heat? I am worried about double digits below zero. I bought a heated perch and a brooder board. I don’t know whether I should use them.

I do use heat when it gets below zero. I use the panel heaters, Cozy Coop brand. They are affordable and only have a warm surface, similar to a brooder plate heater, and dont cause fires. From what I have read, you dont want to heat so much that they could suffer/die if the heat went out. And warm air carries more moisture...so have to be mindful of that :)
