I think Alan has reviewed/summarized the Hycross quite well. But then again, Zigwheels, not surprised. Great job. The Hycross seems to have improved on every strength off the innova except for may be the assured rugged feel of a BOF innova. I hope during your full review, you guys could do an offroad/beaten path comparo between the two. I especially loved the third row and boot space that Hycross brings to the table. I did observed it in the Indonesian promotion videos, but didn't expect it to be this good. Showing the bootspace with proper luggage, which has become a signature of sorts of Zigwheels, is a great touch! For the on road/full review, it would be great if you could show us how far teh fuel efficiency dips with 6 adults, AC and some luggage(typical usage of the MPV) especially in city/uphill sections and being zigwheels I wont be surprised if you threw Carnival into the mix too 😬😬😬 The only fly in the ointment (knowing Toyota product startegy) will be the pricing. But I really hope they price it aggressively.
Cannot compare a carnival with this in terms of performance and space because the carnival has a diesel engine and a mile muncher. However, Toyota learnt from a carnival by providing calf support and features. But the 2.8 diesel mill from Toyota Crysta was a gem of an engine & performance.
@@VeereshVishwakarma600gt won't be the first time a petrol mill goes up against a diesel in a comparo. Besides there is more to a vehicle than just the engine. On the flipside, the new Carnival that should have made it to our shores is way better than what's sold here. Kia don't seem to be in a hurry to get it here. And as of now Innova seems to be offering similar space and comfort as Carnival if not better, all in a smaller footprint. Those who love diesels(like me) will miss them, but that seems to be the norm going forward with most manufacturers.😕
very good review Alan - seen all other channel review but you have covered all major points in the video real feedback given to the audience - good to go and book - Toyota pls price it aggressively
It is interesting to see how Toyota dealt with the boot space and 3rd row comfort, despite the vehicle being a strong hybrid 🤔🤔🤔 Generally boot space is compromised in cars like Hyryder, City Hybrid, ETC.
Hi Rohan glad you liked it. Thanks for taking the time to comment too. Can you let us know what we did better that the rest so we can repeat and improve. Cheers
The 18-inch wheels could have been a little larger. But a set of taller profile tires would have helped more we feel. Right now they are 50 profile tires maybe a 65 profile would have improved ride even more.
I had purchased xuv 300 4 months back. I'm totally fed up with the manufacturing defects and worst quality checks, even the service centre is not able to resolve the issues. I need to share my experience. Can you take my review vlog
Mahindra service experience is pathetic. Moreover the Area Managers and team don't take genuine complaints responsibly. Booked Hycross VX just because i am fed up with after sales support for my XUV 500 W10.
Indonesia purchased 82% of the 2023 innova Zenix Hybrid Q car in the first month. IT'S very similar to this car except the zenix hybrid has two TV monitors in the 2nd row. Philippines should get the Zenix version.
Could you maybe comment on the non hybrid GX variant especially 0-100 time, 0-60 time, general drive review etc. compared to hybrid variant and also other petrol vehicles in the category? Thanks.
yeah, whatever they are going to price it around 35 lakh for all these feature. Better to go with the Powerful, torquey and THE BEAST XUV 700 instead of this.
How the reviewer says it's quite adequate in terms of performance, its highly unacceptable, how come 0-100 with 14secs in 6 people, very poor performance car with poor reviews in terms of performance aspects given from zig wheels
14 seconds with load isn't bad or poor by our standards. The 2.4 petrol Innova was only tested at 14.11 seconds, and even the 2.8 diesel is only capable of 10.8 seconds with jist the driver on board. We will have it soon with us for a real world test. Any cars you would like us to test its 'poor'performance against?
@@SuperAlanmax the price to the performance which we pay is more than innova, shouldn't be be atleast little better than that right? And thr 2.4 innova which you said is at least 343Nm torque and this is just 200Nm torque so the 20-60, 40-100 all roll ons will be very dull, and for this we need to pay additional 5 to 8L
@@nicholsonjason9186 200 nm is just for the petrol motor alone .. the electric motor offers approx 190 nm ..combined 380 to 390 nm .. but toyota never claims total torque figures .. only if we take it to the dyno we will know..
@@SuperAlanmax I'm Considering Hyryder hybrid. I want to buy the G or v variant, but I'm concerned about the thin sunroof blind, especially since I live in Rajasthan, so S variant without sunroof seems more logical. What do you recommend?
Hi Harish, we got 13-14 with a lot of accelerating, decelerating while shooting over just 20km of driving. The real world experience will be higher. Also you have to understand that this is a large petrol engine pulling a full size UV so even these figures are impressive. How high a figure would you want from a 'proper' hybrid?
@@zigwheels thanks for your response, appreciate it. Only issue is with the lower performance will it work for someone who looks at this as an option to drive on highways and hills? I’m currently driving a duster diesel automatic. Will it match that performance?
Finally Toyota is taking Indian market seriously, instead of just rebadging MS vehicles or overpricing Crysta for ages 🙏🙏🙏

Hey LazyWanderer, that a big long list of requirements for the real world test! We'll try and fulfill as many of them as we can.
@@SuperAlanmax well we the viewers are very demanding no? 🤪
Jokes aside, honestly looking forward for the full road test. 🙂

that was a genuinely fantastic no-nonsense review! good job, Alan!

Somehow reminds me of the RAV 4, though a little longer and narrower. An AWD would have been cherry on top.

Batteries are under front seats
To be fair the cars you have mentioned are smaller. But yes Toyota has really done a good job with the packaging.
Nice video in comparison to other reviews

Fantastic review. Another good product from Toyota. Are the tyres a little small for size? May be I am wrong.
