None of the beauty contestants have Adam’s apples. 😊
😂
Yes, the "Good Old Days". When men were men, and women were women and stock cars were...................stock.
Hilarious
This was when men had balls! Racing with open helmets. Steel bodies. The best drivers ever!
A great piece of nascar history! And that music! It's hilarious and great at the same time!
Bud Moore was a WW2 hero. He captured several Germans all by himself. I’m talking like 20 or so. True story.
One of the best NASCAR videos in the history. Thank you!
Wow, this is way before my time, but this is really cool to watch
Hallo from the UK. I absolutely loved this. I got into Nascar after reading, of all things, Tom Wolfe's essay on Junior Johnson, and I never thought I would ever see footage from the year he ran a lone Chevrolet against all the factory cars. Wolfe's article is worth a read for those who haven't done so. I became a subscriber to Hot Rod soon after. To quote casualobserver2305, Junior was badass.
The lyrics to the music make this worth watching even more than the racing! lol
Jr. Johnson was bad ass. Pure racing royalty.
We were watching this video, and at the 14 minutes- 17 second Mark, Ed Livingston crashed into the wall, car #68, sponsored by Livingston’s auto parts.. My Best Friend Dad. 💙
The sound of them engines!
The Ford engines
I was brought here by Protomartyr. I am also a car guy. Not much NASCAR at all, but this makes me respect it even more. It's just not the same now. You know what i mean. And "Fireball", really? I wonder.
Yogi Bear sings at 13:00, Yeah hey hey.
Awesome video.
Where did the good times go.
I really enjoyed this presentation. I like the eye candy shots of Nancy Sanders hangin' with FireBall. Super cool.
Record attendance for qualifying, lol
LONG LIVE DIXIE
Dixie died a hundred years before this race was held. Hate to break it to you....

So cool! Thank you
@10:32 Been there, done that.
Fireball was the man.
When men were men . Not many safety features in these cars. True Chariot racers.
Fireball would be dead by the end of this year and Weatherly would be dead by the beginning of the next year. Lest we forget.
Actually it was June of 64 when fireball passed
NASCAR sends all of you to sensitivity training.
Juniors 427 was hard to beat and gave Ford fits! But unfortunately it was not that reliable
And would ultimately become the second most prolific and successful race and street engine ever devised. Right behind the other engine from the same manufacturer.
@@bigblocklawyer BBL ............but never won a Cup Championship , but pretty successful
@@dannycalley7777 Not just nascar. The same 58 year old architecture Big block Chevy engines win countless races in every series they're run every day.
Fireball Roberts with a smoke in his mouth... people today would have a conniption if any driver in NASCAR today did that.

Bob Collins ...............Mr Ready Freddy ............
Oof the singing 💀
No Pontiacs. 😢
Coupla months b4 elm st
Good race and win for Fireball but I could do without the silly kindergarten song.
Why did they put a king's crown on a queen ?
Yeah that wasn't a teyaira or how ever you spell it
How to tell it's an old newsreel about racing: The first fifty percent of the video is filled with fluff, often of the weird 'jerking off a 100-years dead failed rebellion' type.
Cry harder lib. Long live Dixie.

The "musical" interludes are cringy.
