Do you prefer Pex to Copper? I know it appears easier.
Absolutely. Its WAY easier. Also, if you make a mistake, just cut the clamp with an angle grinder. It also bends very easily to go wherever you want it. I love pex.
You left a mouse access
The valve was closed when it was cut off, so there is likely less than a 1/16” gap at the end. I will squirt some silicone caulk in, to be safe.
spray foam
Another ok option. Mice do eat through foam though.
