To all the barbers out there who are watching this video because worried friends sent it to you: No need to be alarmed, your shaving machines wont't cause what you see in this video. This is Raynaud's syndrome. The condition occurs because blood vessels go into a temporary spasm, which blocks the flow of blood. This causes the affected area to change colour to white, then blue and then red, as the bloodflow returns. When you suffer from Raynaud's disease, this is usually triggered by cold temperatures, anxiety or stress. If you don't have this disease, the only way to lose a finger from shaving is if you're clumsy af, in which case you probably shouldn't run a barbershop.

Sorry, but you are incorrect. You’re about 90% right in what you said, but you are missing that Raynaud’s Syndrome can also be caused by mechanical vibration. We studied it in university in Human Factors Engineering, it is a potential hazard of using tools with excessive vibration / insufficient safeguards (like anti-vibration gloves, etc.). You can also see that referenced under Causes on the Wikipedia article for the condition (and no I didn’t just write that section to try and win a RUclips comment haha). Cheers bud.

Patients who have been using the tech for a while have regained some ability to control their limbs, even without the technology. The hope is once we learn more about why the tech helps regenerate the spinal cord, that we will actually CURE paralysis. The cat path also applies to dogs. I had a dog that did the exact same thing, followed the same path around the side of the house. When he passed and we got a new dog several years later, she did the same thing, and subsequent dogs did it as well without any prompting. The reason we think is because the path followed the roofline of the house, and when it rained, the water cut a divot into the dirt where there were no gutters. The end result was a smooth, water-worn path free of rocks and debris that probably felt nice to the dogs’ paws.

Lots, dare i say most animals do this, and its not pheromones or anything relating to scent. Its a case of simple energetics. By wearing down a "game trail" animals exert less energy over time when covering the same distance as the more the trail is used, the less plants and other obstacles grow up making it easier and quicker to travel along. Hope this makes sense!

One time i saw a cat following the line exactly and realised that it made itself a little path. Sometime later I actually walked over the grass and saw that the path made it harder for the grass to grow there and the rain had washed away the dirt a bit more than elsewhere so it actually looked like a proper cat sized footpath like the ones you'll find on hiking trails.

So many lawns would have this line running through it, and it took me a few months before I saw a cat walking the path and came to realise that all of these lines in lawns are caused by cats.

As a wheelchair user, the brain microchip is amazing news! It wouldn’t help me as my disability is not paralysis but I did have several years of not being able to walk at all before getting back the ability to walk a very limited amount due to a physical rehab program, so I am very familiar with the difference that getting some leg usage can make and how it feels to get a bit of mobility back.
Also, as a very socially awkward person, the field of antisocial dogs really got me! 😂

It's still a highly experimental treatment. From what I researched, using microchips isn't a long-lasting solution as it can still have a variety of faults over time. That's why they're trying to find a more analog and medical manner of doing it. Don't get me wrong. It's a step in the right direction. But it's a short term solution.

People who do talk like this constantly are ostracized commonly. Also, lingo isn’t as bad as people think. Sure, too much of it can be really annoying, but some of it is fine. If lingo didn’t exist, the word ok wouldn’t exist.
