You can’t deny how good the actor is, and how well he portrays Oppenheimer’s internal struggles. That person said the performance was bone-shattering at times, not the movie itself. I didn’t find any scene that should - or even could - have been cut imo, except maybe for one of the sex scenes. That’s like thirty seconds out of the movie. Oppenheimer isn't your regular biopic for some regular guy, let alone a physicist. Besides being visually enthralling, it felt somewhat gut-wrenching. There were so many moments which I had to concentrate on, separately (turns out, it's a necessity). 10/10 in every aspect.

I can see the Oscar going to whoever ticks the, 'woke' box....Oscars lost credibility about 6 years ago when it forgot to give awards to the best actors and films and appear to take the moral upper hand in its decisions, rather than the art itself....so whether he gets the statue or not doesn't actually matter.

The film is worth breaking the piggy bank for in order to see it at the cinema. The sight and sound of the explosion of the atomic bomb needs to be seen at the cinema to better appreciate just what a monster Oppenheimer created. Take a tissue with you as you'll probably shed a few tears near the end of this 3 hr film. . 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
