What a great surprise from you to react to my new favourite symphonic progressive metal band from Israel with stellar classically trained musicians and a vocal beast Noa Gruman, who:
    1. makes her own stage outfits & directs, produces & edits many of their music videos
    2. composes the songs together with the bassist Orr Didi & writes the lyrics also
    3. has served with the Israeli armed forces for two years
    4. also conducts the "Hellscore" A Cappella metal choir that has performed internationally & with bands like e.g. Therion, Ayreon & Amorphis
    5. is a classically trained pianist & cellist, although she doesn't play these instruments with Scardust
    6. has also been working with the Israeli opera as 1st soprano & has a vocal range of 4,5 octaves
    7. worked on her vocals online with Nightwish's Floor Jansen for two years
P.S. They have signed with M-Theory Audio & all the music that they have released since 2015 including one EP & two studio albums "Sands of Time" & "Strangers" are just amazing masterpieces for anyone who's into symphonic progressive metal.

the cinematography behind the video is genius. Not only for the aesthetics but because it perfectly translates the song into visuals.
The song consists of 3 points in time
    1. Ancient civilizations with huge respect of nature (shown with the forest and a more tribal yet fashionable look on Noa and Patty)
    2. Modern times on the rooftop which would represent the concrete cages we live in, trying to deny the natural fire within us but accomplishing great things nevertheless and becoming our own gods
    3. Post civilization times in the end showing the girls with the goggles trying to relive the past through a simulation. Most likely because humanity tried too hard to reject the "fire that rages" inside of them. Which ultimately means defying our unbreakable bond with nature will only bring us to demise

If you go frame by frame in the middle where Noa and Patty are cradling each other's faces, in the distortion there are two frames of the ending concrete cages with Noa and Patty in nearly the same poses and camera framing with the VR goggles on. A bit of subliminal foreshadowing.

    An amazing review!
Indeed, Scardust are stellar, the depth of their prog/symphonic metal has the maturity of decades, even if the band is no old.
And Patty is a blessing, gifted by fate: her and Noa's story of friendship is the stuff of fairy tales made real. She is family and the bond between her and Scardust (and Hellscore, Noa's choir), is touching.
Scardust wanted to guest Patty on stage in Israel, and film Concrete Cages for over two years, and it was delayed due to the pandemic. This video, her visit and their live performance are a dream come true.

This is everything good about music. The talent of everyone involved is off the scale, the blend of all the potentially disparate parts into something unique and beautiful, and the sheer joy of everyone involved (in terms of joy and epic face pulling, the bassist absolutely steals the show here! 😁)
There's some astounding vocal agility on display, and the way Noa bends notes is, frankly, rude - but in the best possible way!
This is how life should be

I love Scardust in this video and I've loved Patty on that Hurdy Gurdy for a couple of years now. The only other video I had seen of Scardust was their cover of the Nightwish song "Elan" and they just blew my mind. Very talented group of musicians. They are from Israel and are just really starting to come into their own in the rest of the world. Patty of course is a monster on the Hurdy Gurdy and has a great voice as well. Check more of both of them out. Great job as always guys, keep it up.

Thank you very much Harry and Sharlene for doing this for me. I occasionally follow Patty because the Gurdy reminds me of a little droning bagpipe with celtic pipes. I caught a little if her finally making this video and doing the concert in Israel. So cool. The band is what I call a musician band. All soloists in their own rights. She has trained her voice in many techniques. I fell in love with them. Soul says to buy their music. My adrenaline goes crazy listening to them. I knew you'd love the music and video. My wife loved it until the end. She said they were all happy playing and singing and then it's not real! Lol thank you all. Peace. Stay safe. God Speed. 🤘 ❤️

wow, scardust in a reaction video.
This song is the current single and for me by far the best on the current record. I liked the album before that better:
Scardust - Arrowhead (Official Music Video)
Patty started out with the moderately successful German folk metal band Stormseeker. When she made an acoustic version of one of her singles, she was much more successful with it:
"The Longing" - Patty Gurdy (Hurdy Gurdy Music)
As a result, she left the band and has been solo ever since. She released her own album and during Corona she was mainly busy with guest appearances with other bands:
    Sasha,Subway to Sally,Feuerschwanz,Tanzwut,dArtagnan,Patty Gurdy - Kaufmann & Maid
    Her current single:
Patty Gurdy - Universe Night & Day (SciFi-Folk-Pop played on the hurdy-gurdy)

Bless you both. Oh, I forgot: I would personally suggest you to listen to "Gone" from Scardust too. Granted, they are more impressive prog songs, even ballads. But Gone has great dynamics, a good blend of all elements; it's a touching song in which all instruments shine and Noa shows stellar breath control in it.

Patty - how to make an ancient instrument ( even a modern version of it...) interesting, modern and VERY sexy. Patty has such a powerful, clear voice too - didn't expect that.....although Noa wouldn't be happy with a mediocre vocalist..... I just love Patty Buchler.....but the everyone that contributes here is outstanding....don't even get me started on the bassist!!! Interesting though that the former bassist loved this dude so much he trained him in the new material!!! Now THAT's respect between musicians with a real passion.

well... SOMEONE listened to a lot of Martin Barre (focus on the single note 'fills'/counterpoint with the bass/guitar).
Yeah, it's definitely an OD (the guitar)... you can see those little lacelike sculptural cutouts on the upper bout.
Not sure if it's a Venus (Roman's) or a Rhea. (I'm a nerd, but not THAT much of a nerd)
I wonder which pickups, tho? Roman (Jinjer) has his own sig MSP pickups and they have a specific clangy/crisp/bright tone.
The sound here is a little more "Bareknuckle-into-a crunchy krunky dimed Hiwatt". Kinda. Sorta. Maybe.
    ... I bet it's a digital model.
It has that "I am very dangerous...but not dangerous" feel found in digi models which include heavy power section compression.
    To me

I can STRONGLY recommend Asaf Avidan, another Israeli artist who is considered by many to be the most accomplished musical talent around (I'm not kidding) - try "900 days" ruclips.net/video/TgMZ0pGegI0/видео.html & "Your Anchor" ruclips.net/video/xv_obIKYGN8/видео.html .
