Keep the lagoon! There’s a beauty in a smaller tanks, especially when it’s over 5 years old!
showing tanks when its bad helps us get thru Our struggles, thanks Remy. The tank will tell you what it wants and needs, listen.
You got it. I'm nothing if not transparent. Those dang flawless IG tanks make us go nuts trying to be perfect. lol ~Remy
always a fan from bahma lama days, was always the honesty.@@ReefBuildersVideo
Keep it!! It’s rolling and looking great!❤
Keep it !
Keep it! And good luck for the big one.
Thank you for watching! Yeah, just going through the new tank stuff. We're both get used to each other still, lol! ~Remy
Soft coral is nice... if a person not in fish hobby.. they feel soft coral is the best ! 😊
LOVED this video! Great to see the lagoon! Also, I still need a frag of that Willow again!
-Blaine
I havent been in the hobby for a few years, but if I’d start again, Id do something like this. A softy or LPS tank. Looks gorgeous
It's so mesmerizing! ~Remy
This is a great video of the reality of reef keeping. The constant fight against different types of algae and how sometimes we can neglect our aquariums. I'm guilty of this as I hated doing water changes
I try to keep it real! We see all the perfect tanks on IG...this has it's own beauty for sure! ~Remy
Was just listening to reef therapy today and heard you talk about this tank, excited to see an update!
That lagoon has been through it...happy we're on the other side now! Still has a bit of work but seeing progress. ~Remy
Love australomussa/lobophyllia rowleyensis. Never kept one but I would love to get my hands on one. Such a unique coral.
Keep it! Nice to see something different.
It's an easy, relaxing tank now. Sure it's been through some stuff but now we're on the other side! ~Remy
You can't take that down Remy it's amazing and alot of history with that tank.
Love seeing the STL representation! Would love to trade you some coral for a frag of that weeping willow
Bet you would!! I kid, I kid! I just need to set up a formal fragging of those big guys. The list of people wanting one is a mile long - I wouldn't know where to begin. The Reef Builders studio will be getting one at Reefstock! ~Remy
I say keep the 25 up, its good to show nanos and large tanks
I guess I do have one of each size now. 10, 25, 60 and a 160. 2000g is next! lol ~Remy
I got a 2 gallon running for about a month. Going thru its ugly phase but I am armed with copepods! Going good
100% keep it running. Maybe dress it up if it bugs you. But i would just journal it's growth and changes. Thats what most of us are here for!
I think that's the plan! ~Remy
Id say leave it how it is and just continue ti give it a little love, get some frags from those toadstools maybe
I would love to see the 60-gallon dedicated to some Chrysiptera or Pomacentrus demoiselles, as I think these gorgeous fish are very under-appreciated, and a tank of their own would stop them from bullying.
Keep it! I'm new to the reef side of the hobby and am just starting a Red Sea Max Nano Peninsula - 26g - similar size, so I am interested in future updates and inspiration! I built a Bolivian rosewood stand for mine. I would highly recommend!
A couple of years ago I ended up with one of the nuclear orange discomas from that tank. I didnt get it directly from you, but I was told it was from you previously. I lost it unfortunately. If you ever have extras and want to get rid of one, let me know! By far my favorite discoma. They are so under rated!
I've still got some, just let me know! ~Remy
Keep it up. I hate I took mines down the first time but it’s going good now. Minus the bubble algae. Go check it out.
Don’t ever shut down the lagoon. It’s Amazing. Both the nanos are perfection.
Keep the softie tank or you'll regret it once you take it down, unless you're using the 60 gallon tank to upgrade the 25 gallon.
That's a thought! I'd just need to make sure that 60 was stable enough before I started placing my favorite leathers in there. I appreciate the suggestion! ~Remy
@@ReefBuildersVideo Take your time man, I got my new 6 months old 40 Gallon Breeder SPS tank and sump running smoothly and believe or not filter socks help a lot getting through the cycles of a new reef will always start a tank with them and Dr Tims waste away, Eco Balance.
My vote:
Leave it up and raw.
1 vote for up and raw. 😂 ~Remy
What budget lights would you suggest for this tank. I’m making it a softy only.
make a low light or NPS tank that looks like the inside of a sunken pirate ship with treasure and skulls with glowing eyes.
Lots of booty...got it! lol ~Remy
I'm on the cusp of starting a JBJ 28 gallon nano cube it was sitting on a curb in excellent shape, used to be in the salt water hobby but things have changed quite a bit, question is about cycling the tank and using base rock and some live rock as a combination is that a good or bad idea or any pro's or cons with that approach?
Our old yellow fiji will lose the yellow if we use to much blue they seem to like a more 12-14k spectrum
We found that out when we went from t5 to leds
Yeah, it'll be interesting to see how all this new Fiji yellow does under predominantly LED. ~Remy
Crystal worms are good no fear mate. They're the best member of the cleanup crew you can get they're worth or white and gold. I would add them to my tank if I didn't have them.
Agreed - perfect sump mates! Everything in the tank good and "bad" is coexisting nicely at the moment. Thanks for watching! ~Remy
my zoas are losing color... whats going on? also, got some that were colored nice, and they have kept the color, but they seem to be stretching... not enough light? can anti algae treatments kill color in zoas?
Keep it! Also, at 4:22, what do you call that thing? ^^' its gorgeous but I can't figure out how to spell it to look it up.
Cynarina - sometimes labeled at indophyllia -Remy
As is!
Do a species specific tank. Puffer or something lol
just get the IM 50 gallon lagoon!
Where did you get your shirt???
It's a Reef Builders shirt! We sold them at Aquashella and I believe we'll also have some at RS. Love a grumpy blue spot! ~Remy
just do what I do, get a bigger tank.... then change your mind and keep the smaller tank going.... now you have two aquariums instead of one! now, repeat ad infinitum....
I have this rust colored algae on the sand, that goes away after cleaning, for about 2 days, and then comes back.... how do I get rid of it?
New tank stuff. Sounds like diatoms. They'll go away over time. ~Remy
change it up

It’s just not the same without Jake Adams. I’m sorry to say this.
It never will be. But we are doing our best to keep the channel and his vision going. ~Remy
@@ReefBuildersVideo your doing an excellent Job friend. Keep going.
