In a recent interview, Cameron Grimes mentioned how a senior WWE official had promised him a job for life before he was released. Former WCW Champion Vince Russo and Dr. Chris Featherstone break down the same from a psychological perspective. EC3, who has previously worked with Cameron Grimes, explains why the young former WWE Superstar may have felt that way. The conversation then veers to the genius of Vince McMahon, a topic that both Vince Russo and EC3 disagree on.
Do you think 2020s-era Vince McMahon is just as sharp as 2000 Vince McMahon was?

When people have a feeling their job is in jeopardy is because it usually is if they have the feeling that they might be losing their job.

I am surprised that the father of Trevor Lee (Trevor Caddell), the late Tracy Caddell, who was a Professional Wrestler and Pro Wrestling Promoter, didn't smarten Trevor up on the business and how cut throat the business is.
Trevor Lee, who is a former 3X TNA X Division Champion and former TNA World Tag Team Champion, should already be in talks with Anthem Sports and Entertainment on a TNA Wrestling return.
It's wishful thinking and outright delusional on on the talent rather it be the WWE, AEW, etc who are seldom used or not A List talent, to think their job in Pro Wrestling is protected.

Vince missed on Austin, Rock and Mankind and they all became stars in spite of Vince McMahon.

Are you even listening to this conversation? Ec3 started saying just what you're saying, then Russo corrects him, pointing out that Vince did see it in rock and Austin. He just missed on giving them good gimmicks initially.

@@godphoenix66xMcMahon was clearly doing something right... Considering how great WWF was from when he bought it from his father, up until a lul in the early 90s... And then Attitude era to about 2008... And hell WWE in 2016-2018, despite being a miserable, garbage product, was way better than AEW or the recent Triple H run stuff.

2:14 to play devils advocate, some ppl’s in ring run comes to an end but they still have backstage/producer/trainer roles after. (i.e. Jason Jordan, Tyson Kidd, Michael Hayes etc)

EC3 got screwed over twice in the WWE and got misused and fired and he didn't make a video crying about it.
You're a pro wrestler you have to be tough and not look like a bitch and I got to be honest I don't need to hear about how you losing a wwe job when there are people losing jobs that don't make 20 k a year and live paycheck to paycheck. .
That's why it's good to have a fallback plan

one thing i hope that wrestlers today make smarter life decisions than the wrestlers of the past did. As great as they were they were all living a very bad lifestyle for the most part and spend all their money partying and ultimately almost going broke. One thing todays wrestlers can do is be smarter with their money.
