    Whenever I watch Bischoff talk about his time in TNA, you can tell that he's specifically talking about his time there as under the Dixie regime(2010-2016 or therabouts). I really wish he would watch TNA during it's prime post Haussman/pre-Panda energy issues during 2004ish to about late 2009 when the Jarrett regime was removed from executive control. Just about every single one of Bischoff's and others criticisms: about the TNA crowd not being hot, the Impact zone not looking unique, and looking too produced, lack of advertising, missed opportunities in using the assets provided to them by Spike TV, and even their lack of true global presence, did not apply to TNA, at the very least in that pocket of time in the late 2000s. I for one believe it when it is said that TNA was always meant to be an alternative, and not direct competition. 2002-2009(TNA) 2010-present(IMPACT). TNA>>>>>Impact, all the way, in my view.

    I can answer the question in the video title without even watching the video. Yes they did. Dixie helped but they fucked it up. The entirety of 2009 the product was at its best with a loaded roster. Fast forward from the end of 09 all the way through 2011 and you'll see the difference in how the product was without them and what it turned into with them. The ratings during that time will also tell you how bad it got.

    • @joesparrow1594

    • @XtremeAnimals
      @XtremeAnimals Год назад +2

      Exactly listen to Jarrett podcast talking about how things were going good in late 09 before Dixie took the books from him and start to become an on air talent. I know hogan is a big name but with or without Eric involvement things went south. People can go watch the last 2-3 months of 09 then watch hogan/Eric reign. They may have done some decent numbers. People started to leave and storyline/feuds were stupid. Eric should’ve been a heel GM with occasionally appearance at commentary table. Hogan appears to help promo the upcoming PPV and main event scene and no wrestling. Mick should’ve Bebe the funny/good face commissioner’s/GM and no wrestling. Ric f should’ve been a mentor/manager and no wrestling but possibly take a bump here and there. Outsiders/Kliq/band was ok but hall wasn’t truly ready to be on tv again.

  • @Matt-cr4vv

    It’s a false narrative that TNA focusing on veterans and never bringing up the young talent started with Hogan. If you look at the history of their world title it was almost always held by a veteran name or former WWE guy from the beginning until around 2014 when Dixie couldn’t afford the big names anymore. But it’s also a key factor to remember that during this time frame Panda divested itself after making their investment back and it became the Dixie show entirely. And that’s when the financial issues reallt kicked into gear. Once she didn’t have her parents to fall back on is when the crazy financial issues really explode into the picture.

    When Jeff Jarrett got suspended for dating Karen or whatever, to me that was the death point in TNA. Cause after Jarretts absence, Dixie started making more business moves and it got worse and worse. Russo did a decent job at building younger talent in 2009. But Jeff needed to guide that machine. And then Dixie goes and hires Hogan, which included Bischoff. And the rest of Hogans gang. The only benfits Hogan brought was bringing back Hardy, and brining in Anderson, Pope, and I really dug Orlando Jordan during that time. Bringing in RVD was probably the biggest. But for all that good, came the terrible decisions. 4 sided ring. Now they look like WWE and WCW. Put them on Monday Nights before they even got half of WWE's ratings. What freaking sense did that make????? How are you going to compete when you are a lesser known show??? That was the single dumbest part of the Hogan Bischoff regime. But at least Dixie put a poll up asking fans if they wanted six sides to return. I give her credit for that. And compared to Anthem, Impact Wrestling was perfection compared to now. Even during 2013 and booking Bubba as a singles world champion which was beyond stupid. 2011 was botch city. So little clear direction that year. So many mess ups and bad matches and nothing clicked. 2012 was amazing with Bobby Roode and James Storm. 2014 was amazing with the return of six sides, Bobby Lashley, so many great shows and hardcore matches. Was the closest to TNA it has been since it was TNA. Then.........they lost Spike TV deal........then it was not watchable. Then Jeff Jarrett came back, was going to fuse GFW, and it was the best few months. Then he got too much into booze and TNA got bad again. And has never been the same since

    I still watch TNA. And even with the star power it has at this moment. I look forward to watching it more than I do AEW. And I just dont watch WWE at all anymore.
    I think what did a ton of damage was switching it to Impact Wrestling. They lost the brand awareness/recognition. That was a huge problem. Then the flopping around from Spike to Pop to Destination America to Pursuit just about killed it. It was stabilized when it got on AXS. It's a safe channel but not available in enough homes. If they tey to grow the network, that would be the best place for TNA as it's owned by the parent company. I really wish they would try to expand the coverage of AXSTV. I heard they are planning on rebranding AXS which I think is dumb. Hopefully they keep the music related content and do cross promotions with bands to build the TNA name up through cross promoting events

    Sounds like Hogan did not care for TNA at all. He cared for money and his boyfriends. This makes Hogan look horrible and Diixie inexperienced. Sorry but Hogan sounds like the leader of a mafia who took advantage of somebody who was too naive. If Russo would have wanted to help tho. He should have told Dixie. You just want Hogan not his boyfriends. Everybody calling Dixie an idiot for this would probably be as starstruck as Dixie don't lie. Anyway. Dixie's insane idea of wanting to be like wwe by bringing in Hogan. Was already dumb because I remember by that time. Tna had a solid product with a solid Knockouts division. She should have gone crazy advertizing instead of trying to change things from day to night. The idea of trying to comperte with WWE was out of someone's ass. It sounds like Dixie all around had the wrong people with her. Unless someone told her what Ruso is saying and she said f u all. I run things here. If she said that. Then she deserved what happened. Regardless. This makes Hogan look like scum. Years later. A scum buddy of his. Bubba the love spunge would try and f him up with a scum move. This makes the saying, tell me who your friends are and i will tell you who you are. So true.
