It was such a pleasure hosting you all! We can't wait to welcome you back. Cheers! 🍷
Thank you so much for having us!
I will definitely be flying up from SoCal soon!
@@FlyWithOwen hello Owen I would like to kindly ask which flying course did you do in college and how long was it because I also want to kindly pursue the course that you're doing in the near future
Hey are you the same Owen that filmed the David Lesh that ditched in Half Moon Bay, seemed like it was likely staged for social media? I mean who really whips out their phone and starts filming 31 seconds after you ditch in the ocean without any safety equipment? ruclips.net/video/jqYY959Fgz8/видео.html
CitationMax is making the rounds on everybody's channel recently...love it!
Thanks for watching!
Max and Mindy earlier this week, and now Max with Owen on Friday. It's a great week.....
A great week indeed! Thank you for watching!
That view of the runway from the restaurant is amazing! Other airport restaurants need to take notes
Right!?
Owen, Saltwater Farm Vineyard (CT80) is a private grass airstrip in eastern Connecticut right on the Rhode Island border. If you call the owners of the vineyard ahead of time, you can land there. What makes it pretty cool is it is right on the water connecting to the Long Island Sound/Atlantic Ocean.
Awesome, thanks for the recommendation!
All I can say is WOW! What a place, close to home and the guest pilot (CitationMax) too! 🛩
Thank you for watching, glad you enjoyed!
Great episode. Nice to see Citation Max.

Wow! Great video! I used to live in SBP and loved spending time in the wine country! So beautiful!👍🏽
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
Landed there yesterday in my Mooney. Great place, gorgeous scenery. Wonderful food but of course as we were only there for lunch no 🍷. Maybe an overnight next time. Was told they have plans to upgrade the runway in 3-4 months.
Great video and vicarious fun experiencing Halter Ranch. Appreciate your style of presentation and clear and concise messages about responsibility. Take care out there.
Thank you for watching Edgar!

Really awesome video. great to see out of the ordinary strips, the place looks outstanding. Cool to see Max out of 2 romeo foxtrot.
This place was certainly as out of the ordinary as it gets. Thanks for watching!
Looks like a great place to visit! The view from the restaurant is spot on 😉
Wow, cool place!
Awesome video. I love that plane too.
She’s a beauty! Thanks for watching.
What beautiful place, That steak looked perfect too. 2 of my fav pilots Max and Owen in 1 video. nice!
Dang, I want a steak now!
It was amazing! Thank you for watching.
This was awesome my wife and I fly out to Paso all the time as we are based at KWJF. This reminds me of a lot of my beginning training in Texas and landing at the ranch on a grass strip. Thank you for the heads up we for sure will be visiting for an over night trip!👍
Awesome! It’s worth a visit for sure. I hope you get to experience it
Great videos 👍
Great video !!

You rock! I never knew it existed...must see!

It's not very often that you see Max in the right hand seat. With Mindy earlier this week, and now with Owen on Friday. It's a great week.....
putting it on my list. 👍
It’s worth a visit!
Awesome vid Owen. Interested in checking it out!
Wasn’t expecting Citation Max to be flying with you. That’s awesome! Would be cool to see you guys fly the CJ4 together!

Wow, beautiful 😍
Thank you!
Very cool place
One of the most unique I’ve been to
That really looks like a great place to fly into
Highly recommended visiting if you can!
I will definitely be contacting Halter Ranch and flying in for the night. Fly into PRB all the time but didn’t know about Halter Ranch. Thank you for the info.
It’s worth a visit! You won’t be disappointed. I will make a video showcasing the overnight accommodations soon.
Rad, dude!
Thanks!
Departing KRHV, brings back memories...learned to fly at KRHV back in 1971 - 1972. Worked for an FBO fueling aircraft...ah good times. It would be fun to see some of the aviation RUclipsr's drop into the Cactus Fly-in, March 4th @ KCGZ (Casa Grande AZ)
Awesome! I learned to fly at Reid as well. I’ll mark that on the calendar.
For the MSFS fans like me, it's identified as Q89 MacGillivray in MSFS. Another great vídeo! Cheers from Portugal
Awesome! Thank you for watching!
Didnt even clickbait us (in the title) with who your guest was! nice!
I try not to be click baity (unlike some others)
That looked like a beautiful trip and an awesome lunch. Enough storage in the Debonair for some bottles of wine?
Plenty, thankfully! Left with a case.
I was just watching vids on “the day the day the music died” about the crash that killed buddy holly and valens. It’s amazing in 60 years the design of the bonanza doesn’t seem to have changed.
very cool channel!
Great video. Not the only winery in CA with a runway. The one I am familiar with is grass and also private.
Details?
I'm based at PAO and will definitely be checking this out!
It’s worth a visit!
I do not fly anymore but have flown around the world more then once being in the military! But l love your videos along with the other ones you are in !!
Awesome! Thank you for watching.
Looks like an interesting place to check out. I do know of another field, Moorheadville(PN40) that is surrounded by vineyards.
Very cool, thanks for mentioning
Reid Hillview is my local Airport... would love to see you Owen fly safe!
I spend a lot of time there I’m sure we’ll run into each other. Thanks for watching!
How cool! Did you have to slip it in past the buildings to land or was it simply a normal landing?
Damn I’m from Paso and did my PPL training there, wish I was in town when you guys came in. Been wanting to land at Halter, seems pretty sporty!
It’s worth a visit for sure! Thanks for watching.
I would love wine with Owen!
badass land cruiser
How's the noise in the Bonanza with the Pro Flight 2s? Manageable? You like them for GA?
I used to go to Harris Ranch a long side I-5 California. Grass field very good restaurant
Been there many times, great spot
Also I watch Citation max to!!
Go figure! Going here soon with my parents. I imagine you are a member? Having some Halter Ranch wine as I watch this too!
Yes I am! I’ll be back soon.
Question: what are your thoughts on the debonair? I'm thinking about getting one to learn on and then keep when we move to North Coast California, then get an A36 after maybe 2 years to fly cross country. (Florida to Mendocino County area). Seems the performance is the same. Visibility is good.
Thanks.
It’s a great airplane, maybe look into an F33 as well if you want something newer
Whoah! Who's got the Naval Base Ventura County ballcap? I'm the base Command Master Chief.
Your videos are so much more wholesome than Matt’s baby.
Thanks for watching!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🙌🏻
G, day from Sydney Australia.
Well that's the first time seeing CitationMax in a single engine, for me.
Well you said "a penny for your thoughts." Can a runway coexist with viticulture "all that wire and posts!!"
🛩️🍇
Thank you for watching!
before the citiation, max would fly the cirrus jet. its a single.
Is anyone else having an issue with no audio after the first 5 seconds of the intro?? I tried on two different devices...????
It’s not bad, but there are some really nice and beautiful small airfields on the East coast in NY, NJ, PA area for sure. Andover Aeroflex, Sky Acres, Alexandria, etc.
Second
You’re fast
Great video. I recently bought a ‘61 Deb. When you make your radio calls do you say you’re a debonair or a Bonanza usually? I feel like more people know what the Bo is but I don’t wanna disrespect my Deb either by saying she’s something she isn’t.
Not that I fly a powered parachute but is the runway acceptable for one of them?
I would say so. It was not in bad shape at all
Pull the chute 😂😂😂
Had to do it!
They sound familiar. I think I saw it on The Ren Baron Channel 🤔
What headset are you flying with? I have a clarity aloft, how does it compare?
Pull the chute😎hahaha!!
Had to throw that in there! Lol
I saw Max in the background calculating if he could get the III Plus in (and out of) there...
LOL!
Hah!
Was the building so close to the runway at all intimidating?
Definitely something to be aware of!
WHERE DID THEY TAKE OFF FROM.
Owen's base is Ried-Hillview airport in the South Bay. Then they flew to Paso Robeles thence Halter Ranch winery.
Does your prop normally stop that way, or did you move it after you parked?
A three-blade prop, if properly installed and balanced, should normally stop with a blade up. It can't ever be dynamically balanced if it naturally stops with a blade down. It may have been removed and mis-clocked on re-installation. Might be worth checking with a prop balancer next annual, it's worth the price.

I'm freakin out at the start of this, those guys look exactly the same except for their shirts! Need to cut back on the edibles.
As an up n coming pilot out of UND, how does one attain the job you have versus just going straight to a major airline? Are you happy flying corporate/private versus commercial?
Im curious, why do UND if you dont want to goto an airline?? UND is built for airline prep. If you dont want to goto an airline, then you are wasting money at UND. But either way, you will have a zillion job offers soon enough. Keep in mind that most guys want to goto the Regionals, and when they do they leave behind good flying jobs!!! Dont worry about whether you will find a job or not...worry about safety and your own performance. Jobs will fly at you like a magnet in an iron mine. After UND, you can find all kinds of SIC (look it up) jobs with 250 hours. In fact, for SIC there are NO hourly requirements. You might never need or use a CFI/II Good Luck.
Is that a GTN 750Xi?
Whered you get that shirt??
